I got the same call today, scary enough they had my ss# and my work number, yes! my work number where they called saying I have a law suit against me. my boss almost fired me for that, and I have heart problems and this did not helped at all. but after reading all the claims against this number I am more stable and I know this is only an scam, but I would really like to report this people and stop their fraudulent  calls.

These people called my work, somehow they got my information and Soc. #  what do I do, I never gave any one my information.  they told me there was a law suit, but I never recieved a certified letter nor anything from a constable.

I just got the same today and could barely understand the person calling saying his name was something Johnson, like really? saying to have my attorney or me call back. I have had  a payday loan but paid in full already.

This phone # has been calling my phone for days, then today called my work. And said I needed to called them back, or my Attorney call them. Or they would have an arrest warrant for me. Had me so upset although I know what they were saying is not true about a payday advance. Cause all my bills are paid. My Boss called them back, and really let them have it. Then in about an hour, they started again. This is Harrassment. I pray they do not get ahold of an eldery person. They called again and left another message on my phone. Can change my cell #, but not my job.

these people did it to on sat the 22 and i told the [***] to call me back with the lawyers names and addresses and i would have the fbi check on it. guess wht they didnt call back but i did call the FBI here in my state and told them about this scam.

I just received a call from them 3 times back to back and 2 voicemails. It was that same " Jenny Jones" saying that I had a legal issue with them. I immediately told her to stop calling me and to remove my information. When I called back to identify the company, it went straight to a sound like an answering machine beep. I am going to call and report them as well.

Just got 3 phone calls about issuing a warrant for my arrest for an unpaid cash advance.  I told them I had not outstanding bills.  Second call they gave me the name of an attorney to call back, line is always busy.

I received a call from a gentleman at this number today at work.  Told me he was a paralegal for an attorney by the name of Michael Carter.  I asked him what the charges were and he said that he did not know to call this number 415-952-3898 and speak with Mr. Carter to find out.  I told him that I was also giving that phone number to the FBI.  He asked what my attorney's name and phone number where.  My boss and I googled Michael Carter in California.  There is an attorney by that name but in a different area code.  So I called him and he said that it was a BIG scam and he had gotten several phone calls from people asking him if he was involved.  The real Mr. Carter states that he has notified his local police department and the FTC.  He told me to notify my local police department, state attorney general's office and the FTC.  The real Mr. Carter was very nice and understanding.  If you get a call from this number just tell them that you are reporting them to the police and the FTC.  THEY ARE BOGUS

I just had the same exact call.  He told me to call Mike Carter at the same number, so I told him to transfer me since you are in the same building.  He said he couldn't.  I asked him why he was a foreigner with an American name.  His response was "how dare you".  Thiey want you to buy a green dot money card.  I told him I wasn't going to buy anything.  He asked why,  I told him it can't be trace.  These same people called me last week from another number 323-521-9764.

I received a message last night stating the same thing that if I didnt call them I would regret it.  So my husband called they wouldnt give him any info just that I would be served papers in the morning.  The next morning they called again and wanted the same info...my lawyers number and told me to call michael carter when i called he wasnt avaible but the same lady who talked to my husband told me I owed 877.33 and that in 45 mins i would be arrested and sent to california to have my court case.  they told me to get a bill pay vocher and only use cash because I had violated federal banking laws and they would only accept cash--they told me to go to walmart or cvs and then call this number-(415-891-9356) so they could get the voucher number...they told me they would hold my papers until 9pm and if no payment would be made i would be arrested.  we called the sheriffs office and the ohio attorney general---they told me it was a scam and to not pay a dime to these people. when my husband called back and told them this info they said ok goodbye

I just had a voicemail on my cell and it was an Indian woman claiming to have a case against me and to call my lawyer and to call them back now. I called back several times and no answer. She finally called me back just recently and told me that I would be arrested at 10:00 am tomorrow for unpaid payday loans. I told her I have never had a payday loan in my life and she said the Sheriffs department would be contacting me......

Jenny Jones called sounding like every sort of Asian stereotype. I could only understand every third word. It was unbelievable. Sounded like complete scam. Tried to call back to have fun since she left the message on a business line and I am a fraud investigator but no luck. It just went to dead air.

I just received the same call from a man named David Miller, this has happened to me a few times before. I called a lawyer and they told me to contact the FBI at IC3.gov... Please feel free to do so the more we stop scammers. There is no debters prison, people cant go to jail for not being able to pay back a loan. Things happen they cannot threaten jail time. It is against the law.

called and said there is a law suit against me. He said he was from dept of legal affairs of investigation from California. the company soposly suing is Cash advance usa. Have no idea who they are. Going to report to our sheriff dept and state attorney of georgia and california

I received several calls fromthis number saying it was very urgent and they wanted my attorneys name and new where ni was working and my email address

I received the same message on the name used was Danny Morris, his English was horrible you could not understand him and he told me to call of have my attorney call, and he didn't hear back from me today all he could do was wish me luck.  My brother received a call (need to check the number) and they told him I had committed fraud using his name.  These people need to be stopped!!!  I will post again with the other number that they called him from.

They called my job and said I'm being sued. Left me a vm too. Called them back and an Indian woman told me I would be arrested at 7pm pacific standard time....lol. They are damn annoying!

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.
