I recieved a call from this number stating that either I or my attorney need to call back. And if I did not it will be on me how the situation unfolds. I call back it rings and then a beep that's it

415-992-3898 called me this morning and left a threatening message on my voice mail and this same person called me almost a year ago except from a different phone number which was 855-666-5526 and scammed 651.00 out of me because I was scared of them and they were threatening me about coming to my house.

I got a call from this number today at work stating I was being sued. The man had a very thick accent and told me I needed to call Michael Carter at the same number. I stated he could not tell me what I was being sued for but I needed to call Michael Carter back and give him all my attorney information. He then hung up. SCAM!!!

My husband fell for this today too. They even called his work line all day trying to contact him along with his personal cell. When he answered it after work, he said the woman was saying he had a loan that wasn't paid on and they worked with an attorney and an arrest warrant would be issued tomorrow and he'd be arrested at work in front of his co-workers unless he made sure they had his correct info, straight down to our bank info and his SS #. To say we are angry, is an understatement.

I am getting these calls at work form these Indian [***]. the tell me I am going to be arrested today. I'm tring to find their location. Never mess with a Navy man on meds!!!!

I continually get calls from this number. I am not sure if this is a scam but they want personal information.

How do I stop them from calling me at work.

This [***] caled my job and my boss took the call, she gave them and ear full and told them to not call again. She reported them the AG and the FBI. I cant believe they would call my job geez. They are actullly in CA area.

I received the same call from some Indian who pretended to be an American citizen. First and foremost these thieves are probably calling from Canada, where the US government does not have the capacity to take them to court or place a Cease and Desist order. The number like others were provided as 415-952-3898 where I was told I am being arrested for providing fraudulent information on the application for $300.00. I told them I never provided any false information however some lady claiming to be a lawyer answered the phone stating that I was being arrested. Folks just want to let you know. Please ignore these [***] as they give a bad name to the people of Indian or South Asian origin. These scum bags or predators cannot get a decent job and therefore prey on the innocent. Therefore the next time you get a call, ask them to send the information to your own fax number or ask for the address. California law, when it comes to $300 or less is a small claims court law. Therefore these idiots who are not aware of any such laws, prey on people..Next time these dumb [***] call let them know to hold on so that we can connect them to our local police department, for conducting business that is fraudulent, mis-representation, and most of all conducting a financial crime activity

the same guys called me few times already,when I ask to repit be cuz i dont know what he's talking about it,he said,call me back when you are ready to listen to him,lol attorney:)I will call to Police next time,thank you guys

this number called my cell phone by a woman but left several voice messages as an eric jones (complete with accent so i doubt that this is legitamate business) and when i called back just got answering machine beep. but the message was for our attorney to call him immediately.

by the way the woman had all of my husbands information such as ss#, employment, address etc. which they should have no information like that availalble to them.

Saying if i dont call them or have my atttorney call them to prepare myself for what is about to unfold on me. Tried to call and no one answered. I did call my attorney and he is checking into it. We will get to the bottom of this. He is one of the top lawyers in ohio and a close freind of the family. He is not taking it lightly expecially since they have all my information.

these same people just called me since HALLOWEEN and they said this is a serious matter and i was getting arrested and i should call them right away with my lawyers number THE WOMAN NAME WAS MICHELLE BROWN MY HUSBANDS NAME IS SO SIMULER TO HERS HES APPLIED FOR A LOAN BUT WAS DENIED AS WELL. i then called them today an AFRICAN man answered the phone i told him my name only he then transferred me to a AFRICAN lady who told me i was being arrested a 4:00pm today for a payday loan i have applied but i was always denied the loans.so i told her i never got any loans before in my life she said this matter was in the past and she did not tell me what year so then she hung up on me. so i called again 4 times no answer then called again and i asked the man why do they keep calling me about these loans and he said for me to hold on and hung up on me.IF ANYONE APPLIES FOR PAYDAY LOANS DONT'. this is how they get your social and address i looked up this number and these complaints was one this site so i read through them and saw it was a scam i never had been through this in my whole life ever i will be calling the ftc on them there operation needs to stop now.[***] GO GET YOUR LIFE [***].THERE NUMBER IS 1415-952-3893. Yes, I keep getting phone calls from this same number listed in the San Francisco Bay area and this morning on 11-3-2012 I answered the man. The man told me I have a serious case pending against me and that I will be going to jail. He has my TX address, SS #, Work #, Cell #, Bank Accnt # and that I need to contact the number, the same number he called me from to their attorneys to resolve this issue. He gave me a bogus case #., case number ending in BCA 33740 and he could not even direct me to their attorneys since it is the same number he is calling from. So I ended the call with the man, tried calling the number he gave me, which was the same number the man called me from. Noone answered. I had a gut that other people have this same issue and wanted to get information regarding the bogus phone number and decided to do a little investigation work of my own via internet, having a huge notion knowing this was all bogus.

I then logged onto the internet and googled the phone number given to me and on my caller ID in which it directed me to this page. Now I know it is a scam. I then called the phone number again inwhich an Arabic woman answered and I told her I know this is a scam and that they will be reported to the FBI. She proceeded to curse me saying "[***], [***], [***]", and then continued to curse me in Arabic. I calmly told her that is fine but you are now all being reported to the FBI and she got really pissed and became even more vulgar and then I ended the call.

After the phone call ended I contacted the local FBI office and spoke with a lady agent in which I told her everything including that they have all my important documents and that I am wanting to press charges. I also told her about this website, that I see lists and lists of peoples name and information regarding the same issue from the same number. She then documented everything I have told her including this website with everyone complaining about the same issue. She informed me that the FBI is aware of this action and they are doing all they can to catch them. They have all kinds of documented information pertaining to this as well as she has said they will use different numbers to try to extort money from us citizens. That they become very vulgar, mean and hostile towards people refusing to believe them and or give them access to their funds.

The FBI lady agent stated that that they are indeed a scam and they are trying to extort money from all the people they have contacted by using scare tactics., basically terroist style methods. She also directed me to a website to address the issue there. You can goto www.FTC.gov to report this.

I received 4 phone calls from this bogas company on my cell phone today and found out they left 3 messages at my place of employment as well.  Basically telling me the same thing that I need to have my attorney contact them immediately or they wish me luck for what is about to happen to me.  This needs to be stopped it's very frightening and very disrupted with your life.  Especially when they're calling your job.!!!

I recieved a call from this number stating to be from a attorneys office, attorneys name is Michael Carter. He threatened that he would send an office to my place of employment to serve me papers about a loan for $1200.He could not tell me when I had this loan

He could not tell you when you had a "loan" because there never was one to begin with.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I RECEIVED A CALL TODAY FROM A CHRIS AND HE STATED ON MY VM IT WAS URGENT AND EITHER ME OR MY LAWYER NEED TO CONTACT HIM. WHEN I CALLED BACK A WOMAN NAMED MICHELLE ANSWERED AND SHE SAID CHRIS WAS UNAVAILABLE.  SHE ASKED MY NAME (NOT MY SOCIAL) AND TOLD ME I HAVE A WARRANT OUT FOR MY ARREST FOR A UNPAID LOAN FROM CASH ADVANCE. I ASKED HER HOW MUCH WAS THIS ALLEGEDLY LOAN AND SHE SAID OVER $500. I TOLD HER I  NEVER HAD A LOAN WITH THEM SO SHE TOLD ME A SHERIFF WILL BE PICKING ME UP TODAY FROM MY JOB AND HUNG UP THE PHONE. TO BE HONEST I THOUGHT IT WAS FORREAL BECAUSE SHE KNEW MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT. AFTER READING ALOT OF COMMENTS I KNEW IT WAS A FRAUD SO I CALLED THEM BACK. AFTER OVER 6 CALLS SOMEONE NAMED MARK FINALLY ANSWERED AND HE KEEPS HANGING UP THE PHONE. LOL NOW I KNOW ITS REALLY A SCAM!! THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE STOPPED!!

I got the same call twice, but i back checked the number. It comes from Stinson Beach-Bolinas, California. Just North of the Lagoon out in the woods  and Just north of all the luxury condos, in that area. Don't panic only a scam!!!!!
