yes, i have called and it is Macy's credit card company. they are using the name but cannot confirm if they are legit.  they have called several time but never left a msg or voice mail.

I didn't know the number so I didn't answer.  I called back and a man with an Eastern Indian accent answered and said, "Thank you for calling Macy's....." then I hung up.

I think they are trying to be sneaky.

THEY HAVE CALLED TWO TIME THIS WEEK AND HANG UP WHEN WE ANSWER.  CALLED BACK AT 1250 PM AND THEY HAD AN ANSWERING MESSAGE THAT THEY WERE STAR REWARDS.

Just saw that I got a phone call with this number.  Called back, heard that it was Star Rewards.  It sounded like an Indian woman on the phone.  She asked for my information to verify who I was - name, street address, phone number.  It sounded like she was writing down the street address as I was saying it.  Then  she said that my number (which THEY called) wasn't in their system.  That was very odd.  I told them that I'd settle whatever problem (if it exists) with the store.  Something fishy is going on.

This number 513-573-8031 from Mason, Ohio has called my office fax line in California three times today, 12/07/2010. Early right at 8 am, mid-afternoon and again at 8 p.m. They keep calling even though they can tell by the end tone that it is a fax line which proves that this is a telemarketing call. Many of these numbers that appear to be from the U.S.  are actually routed through a central system within the U.S. but come from outside of the country. You can tell it's a telemarketing call by the delay in connection if you answer or allow your answering machine to answer. Best to have a caller I.D. to display who is calling before answering since at this time of year they are surely trying to sell you something. To be allowed to call you they have to be connected to a co. that you already do business with or they can be reported and fines can range upwards to 5000.00 a call if they are random callers who purchased your number from another co.

calls from this number 3 to 4 times a day with never anyone on the other end.

I received 3 calls in 3 days from this number so I decided to look into it. In the calls the caller would not identify himself and insisted on knowing if a certain person was available, if I was that person's husband, when that person would be available. He said that the call was a private business matter and he was not permitted to reveal his name, company or the reason for the call.

I called the number back and verified that this is a Macy's credit card call center. I have a Macy's card but have not used it in years and have a zero balance. I asked why I was being called and they could not explain it.

Have received three to four calls per day for two weeks. Never anyone on the line when I answer. I ignore these calls now.

These guys call me 4 to 5 times a day for the last 4 months. I never answer and they don't leave a message. I don't now nor have ever have a Macy's card. If someone figures out how to stop these calls please post solution. They also call using 231-337-2148

I discovered that it happened when I activated my Macy/American Express card—the account becomes split and is reflected on 2 different bills, only I never received the AE bill. Finally talked to someone at Macy's that could explain it. By the time I got it deciphered, I was already overdue with an AE payment—they were apologetic and recognized that it's AFU and promised no late fees would accrue—I'm watching my card CLOSELY!!!!

Count me in, I got several calls spaced out of the last few days. They appear to be about 4 hrs apart. I like others will not answer the call. If the caller was real they would leave a message.

I am continuing to receive calls non-stop every day at least 3 or 4 times a day.  When I spoke to them I told them not to call this number anymore.  They stated that until they spoke to the person they were calling for the calls would continue.  When I asked what company they were with the said it was a sister company of Macy's.  I know this account is up to date and we should not be getting any calls.  I said I would report them and they said to go ahead they were doing nothing wrong.

This number under the name of:  MASON, OH person or it or whoever he is calls our number several times a day - everyday!

The POLICE MUST be NOTIFIED ABOUT THESE PEOPLE, Company or whoever they are!!!  This is some sort of a harassment that needs to be taken care of.

They DO NOT leave messages when NO ONE answers the call.

WE ALL NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PERSON or COMPANY he represents or whoever they are!!!   WE ARE BEING HARASSED and this is ILLEGAL!!!

Getting calls daily on my cell phone Tracphone----no one but my family uses this number--so know that it is a scam.

Yep; you all are living my experience. 5 calls today. The first had a recorded message, "We are trying to reach you, but our operators are busy. Please hold." I thought, 'Then why did you call?' Thanks for the heads-up, gang, I won't pick-up if they call. And based on what others reported here, I'll turn my phone OFF at night.

Got 3 calls today, 2 at home, 1at work,from this number. First call no message, 2nd call I answered apparently caller is not intelligent enough to answer.
The bill was 7 days late. Pay off balance on time every month. This first time late.

The person who called my work told my coworker that answered the phone that "They were from a collection agency."
QUESTION: Is it legal that they can call my work?

* SEARS pays employee's, that are called up military personal, the difference between their regular salary and their military pay.

fed up with these stupid fockers from macy's calling me when i dont owe them shite. i used my card for a $20 purchase, 1st time in 5 years, paid it off when i got home before i even got a bill. now im getting these annoying [***] calls from somebody incapable of speaking english and probably sitting somewhere in india while using a reroute to make it look like the call is coming from ohio. fackin [***]. [***] and eat my dingleberries!

I haven't received as much harassment as some of you on here, but this number has called me two times this past week and each time they didn't leave a message.  I figure, if they really want to talk to me, they'll leave a message.

This is Macy's Star rewards payment center.  I have been getting at least 3 calls a day (I never answer) from this # and I do owe a bill that is only 5 days late.  Never have I had a call from them in the past or this treatment in my 8 years as a cardholder.  If they are calling you, they want your $$ & they want it now, so it is best to call & pay them & complain.  I got my late charge reversed & she promised me the calls will stop.  I am seriously considering cancelling this card when my bill is paid in full.  I have a complaint sent to corporate through the website.  Will see if I get a call from them to fix this in any way.
