This is the first day that I have ever gotten a call, actually 3 calls. Each showed up as unknown name/number, which I never answer. I added the number to my "Reject Call List" (under the name a**holes) and am hoping that helps. I plan to contact my service provider and see if there is another way that the call can be blocked. I also registered my number at www.donotcall.gov. I am hoping that might do something as well. I have friends and family who work on the police force. I plan to check with them and see what more can be done. I will keep you posted-no pun intended. Good luck to all of you. Hopefully we can get this to stop.

I have had more than a dozen calls a day from this number for the past week.  If this is really is from Macy's, I am going to cancel my card.

877-493-9207... that's the REAL Macy's Credit Card Service Call Center Number... an 800 phone number... not some "non-800 (888 etc...)" a 513-area code, Ohio phone number. Just don't answer the phone is my suggestion. I rec'd a call today and I live in California... this seems to be a scam attempt alright.

I am going to call Macy's and tell them what is happening and I am going to inform them that I am closing the account because of these annoying calls.  I have been working on closing it so balance is low.  I hope this will help. Now that I know it is Macy's I will also inform the caller of this number and tell them that I am reporting them to Macy's and closing my account.  Maybe if we all say this to Macy's, this contract with these annoyers will be terminated!

This number is Macy's customer service in Ohio. I got repeated calls when I didn't realize I hadn't paid my bill.  FYI-  don't be scared- just call the number back..then you know what it is.

I got two calls from this number in the past two days (not too bad considering other posts but still) no messages left, today I picked up to hear a pause and then an automated voice say their operators were busy and to hold, at which point I hung up.  when i checked this site, I saw it's from macy's (i got a card from them right before christmas) and freaking out that I must have missed a payment I checked my statement after immediately paying the bill only to find, THAT MY PAYMENT WASN'T DUE FOR ANOTHER 26 DAYS. are you freakin kidding me?!

513-573-8031 has called once a day for the last 7 days.  There is always no answer and when I call back I get the Star Rewards.  I will be going to my local Macy's to let them know.

Repeated phone calls from above # about every 4 hours. No message.

The calls began today to my cell phone # one day after I paid my Bloomingdale's account. (Due Jan 1, paid electronically Jan 2)  Like other callers, I was asked to "hold" while waiting to be connected to an operator.  

Even though I am up to date on my account, and have never been more than 4 days late, the parent company has a new policy of immediately calling/ harassing what it thinks to be delinquent  or "potentially delinquent" accounts.  

BE WARNED: This company recently switched me to a new account where they charge me extra "protection fees" and other credit services that I did not want.   These so called "services" are new ways for the company to generate revenue since a large percentage of patrons are in the mode of paying down their debt and not purchasing like in the past. If you have an account with Macy's or Bloomingdales,  I advise to review your last few month's statements and review the terms and any new service charges.  
If like me, you are furious and want to cancel your account I would suggest paying it off as quickly as possible and leaving it inactive- don't cancel your account, as it can reflect poorly on your credit rating.

When I called Bloomingdale's to complain about the needless calls, I took the opportunity of changing my contact numbers to a dummy line (non-working number) to prevent future calls.

Just got a call didn't recognize the number looked it up and found yall. No message left but phone says it's from Mason OH. I don't have a Macy's or Bloomingdales card. Only store based card I have is to American Eagle and it's been at 0 balance since November.

I answered this morning when they called, they asked for my mother. I told them she is not at this number as it is MY cell phone not in her name. Guess we'll see if I get any more calls.

this number 513-573-8031 constantly calling me!!!  nights, days ,weekends i called back no one answering the phone or call only during business hours. I think this is a scam !!!

I am receiving multiple calls as well, but I do think it's because you get 2 bills for one card and I only paid the one bill. You get a bill from Macy's for "Macy's" purchases and a bill from "Macy's American Express" for other charges. I paid Macy's store, but didn't pay the Macy's Amex, so I think that is why they called me. I don't like that you get two bills or that you can't register to pay your bill with American Express... actually quite annoying. I will pay this bill and cancel my card too.... but I will be sure to mention how annoying these calls can be for all of us and maybe it will help. Good Luck to all.

Yup same thing... as above exactly.... they are going down... as they have done this to me now .. and I know a thing or two of  imposing fines and penalties as well as state law aroundcomputer aided phone calls. legal phone times and improper solicitation.

Lol good to know i just cursed one out and stop calling. They finally said something after calling 3-4 times a day not responding! Gosh so scary now a days u never know when its a legit call! Dammit send a letter better communication otherwise your gonna get yelled at!

I got 3 calls from this number of my cell phone. I called up the number behind my wife's macy's card (the real Macy's), which has zero balance. They checked the cell number and my SSN and confirmed that I have no account with them. They've forwarded the request to their fraud department to investigate, I hope they can nail the problem. I should hear from them soon, and will post what they tell me. Macy's also asked me to not give any information out to this number.

I went off on these guys like never before.

Then I called Macy's headquarters here in the US of A.
Got a very rude receptionist (which I reported also) sounded like some off the street uneducated person.
Was transferred to accounting c.s. and read them the riot act up one side and down the other.
"I do not do businees in India and will not speak with someone from there" I told the lady in the accounting dept.
Seems I have a balance on a scam where they were supposed to re-activated my current account, but opened up an American Express card in my name instead.
Never got a bill, that is where the India harrassment starts, hope it ends now, paid it over the phone.

And we wonder why the unemployment rate is so high?
Keep supporting these cut rate high profit companies, it will not get better.

By the way, next time you shop, turn the item over and see where it's made.
If it is not made in U.S.A. set it down and keep it out of our land fills.

I blocked the number on my phone, and therefore haven't had to deal with calls from the 513 number. I would suggest that if your phone has the capabilities you do that. It definitely takes care of the annoying factor. As I said before, I received three calls in one day (beginning before 8 on a Saturday, no less). I appreciate all of the info that you have shared. Good luck, and hopefully we can get this to stop.
