This is a spam !! Lot's people with Niagaria IP posting vacation rental on craigslist. They all ask for deposit, which you should never expect to get back !! do not contact them.

I was just given this number. Belonging to a Franklin Holloway. I was in the process of renting his Greenwich Village apartment he had posted on Craigslist. Guess I'm not doing that anymore!

Hmm, I also contacted her by e-mail. She is asking for a big deposit. I am also wondering if this is for real. Did you already got in contact with her or did you loose your money.

I was given this number by "Annabel Churchill."  I had responded to a CL ad for a vacation apartment.  I was wondering if it was a scam given how good the deal was and her response had glaring NYC errors.  Given her second email - deposit by Moneygram and the posts here, I'm now fully convinced.

Thank you all for your remarks. This lady calls herself Elizabeth Collins now. She tried the same thing with me. Thank God I am careful. I asked for her number which she initially refused, asking me for a moneygram. That confirmed my suspicions. I checked her number to get to this site. Thank you all. It seems that this type of scam biz is alas worldwide. Went through the same thing last year attempting to rent a small apt in Paris, France.

We were talking to a certain Nicolars Smith, who is supposedly the owner of an appartment in New York. He is asking us to sent 330 to his daughter Vermont. I really thank you all for posting, and I am glad I checked around so I don't get into the scam net.

I am actually still in negotiations with a certain Nicolars Smith who posted a vacation rental on CL and who gave me this number and two adresses, one in New York, where the vacation rental is and the other is still in New York. Here is the last e-mail I received a couple of hours ago. Is there anything to be done to stop or apprehend these people? Please advise ASAP:
