Stop negotiations immediately. This is SCAM. Those vacation rentals don't exist. I am a victim as well. There is also a Sara with an apartment in West Village for $120. SCAM. The rule is, when you have to send money in advance to somebody you don't know personally and who invents all kind of excuses to avoid meeting you or friends or relatives, it is SCAM. We cannot understand that there are people who can live like vultures, but there are many. So beware. They will be punished in the end.

For everybody being a victim of SCAM: flag on GL. If the SCAM address is still there. We should make it as hard for these people as we can. GL is warning all the time, follow their instructions. We all learned it the hard way. But we have to strike back.

I almost got scammed too yesterday! I was in contact with Nicole James for a nice flat located at 113 Prince Street New York City, NY 10012 to rent in November for a week for only 420$. We were about to send the money throught Western Union yesterday. Just before doing it, we had the great idea to put the Project Manager name on google to check is everything was ok and realised it was a scam! It also was Wendy Accurso located in 81 Aunty Lilly Lane, Annandale, VA , 22008,

If you also have any recommendations to find a secure flat in NY, I'll be interested !!
    Thanks!

I fell for the scam with Nicolars Smith, also sent money to wendy accurso in VA.  its obvious that all of these posts are being run from same person.  I am going to do my best to report this to whoever will listen- not that i expect my money back- i just think its [***] that someone can so easily get away with committing this crime over and over and not be punished.

Unfortunately we have found this website late. We found an advertisment for Sherri Gordon apartment in the West Village and we paid 500 USD. Since that payment was not possible to contact her on e-mail or cellphone. So really BEWARE of Sherri Gordon!

Just want to say Thanks everyone for posting about this person. I'm in Florida and looking for a place to rent for the winter months. I received an email from Bob first then he said his lawyer would contact me. Her name was Wendy Accurso. I'm so glad for google. I kept asking to see the house and they wouldn't let me see it.  I do believe there is one other scam on Craiglist, the name lauralist. Hope I help save somebody.

    Jane:

Thanks you for your prompt reply. Unfortunately, I’ve decided against the trip, in favor of pursuing a lifelong dream of helping a Nigerian Prince escape from captivity and reclaim the fortune that is rightfully his. All I have to do is email him my bank account number, in which I keep my retirement funds, so he can wire the money out to my bank account before immigrating to the USA.

Alas, one can never find a Nigerian prince - needing to escape from captivity  - when one needs one. I don’t suppose you know any Nigerian Princes, do you???

    Thanks,

    John
