- KWWhat the heck? Very creepy foreign guy asking all kinds of questions about my business. Never identified himself until I asked. I hung up on him. If this is really contracted for Google, then they need to hire a new call center.
- Caller: Google?
- Eagle1Got a call, have no clue who it was. They could not enunciate English. i did catch something about an address. Repeatedly try to get them to them me who they were, but was unable to understand a word they said. They just hung-up on me.
- AaronI actually spoke to a human being who works for Google the other day about my business listings...after requesting support via email. And they are in the bay area so some calls originating from 650 can actually be from Google. It's the bay area where their company is located.
- ReallyNowCalled my line at work. We are a busy county hospital so I tried to be brief but pleasant as people are listening and I don't want to appear rude. I confirmed the address as a clinic and website (since it IS public info) - telling her a few times that we are a county hospital/clinic and she was talking to the business office at a different address. I'm starting to get pushy and she says, "Just one more question - what is the nature of your business at address (not the one she's calling)" Um seriously? What part of CLINIC did you miss? I almost said "we embalm live telemarketers" but again, the walls have ears and I just said we are clinic where sick people go and hung up.

- A yoga studioCalled and asked if we were a yoga school, I responded yes how can I help you sir and than he said "ok, thank you have a good day" as to end the conversation. In my expectation that more would come of the conversation i stayed on the line and overheard chatting in the back round. Sounds like a call center
- Caller: Came up as Unknown
- LAMan with a very thick accent and heavy breathing called our office. I could hardly understand him. He asked what our address was... didn't introduce himself or anything. I asked what it was regarding and he became very rude and said he was calling from Google Maps. I told him that I couldn't verify that info as the manager would have to do that. He then became inaudible and I had to hang up. He called back FIVE more times and each call was so hard to hear I just had to let it go to voicemail. Our office is moving locations so no, it would not do any good if this was Google.
- Caller: Google Maps

- Greg replies to JamesGoogle Voice is the carrier. If you call the number a recorded message will tell you it's not for inbound calls and direct you to Google Maps website. Further investigation revealed it is DEFINITELY Google Maps verification office checking local listings
- KauEveryone is saying this is Google maps calling. But how did Google maps get my phone number? My personal information is protected by PERFECT PRIVACY, LLC.
- FfsNo. You're wasting our time calling us and taking us away from or jobs-and for what? Something you could have called the corporate office for and at a far less cost of employing an employee to call every single location? Bad business...worth my time to spam the spammer-good luck!

- Cricket replies to meThe woman who called me was very quiet and difficult to understand. Took a few tries to get the messages back and forth. And, yes, all she wanted was to update my information. You guys just might want to makes sure that your callers can speak english a little better and are understandable.
- UM? replies to BSBMYou do realize that this info is updated online, not via phone, right? Google generally never calls anyone.
- S. NicholsReceived call from this number. Caller stated he was updating our google maps listing. We too have been listed with google maps for over 5 years, never received call from them ever needing to update our information. Beware to the public. Tis the season for SCAMS.

- Agitated replies to RobertJust got a call from this number - starting asking me questions without declaring who they were -- this is aggravating... Please, google, if this is you.... please add an ENGLISH Translation to your script that adds - "Hi this is ..(state name) from google just verifying your address and location" Instead I get -- "Is this company? Is your address ? Do you accept walk ins?" This is just agitating!!
- AngryThis mother f... called me asking to confirm about my business address saying he was from Google and if I also own another business with a similar. I told him that he didn't sound like he works for Google and I didn't need his help. So today I saw that he just posted the address of the other place that has a similar name and posted a picture of the front of my home on my business profile on google. I'm so damn angry. This is so illegal that I hope I'll never find this unhappy p.. of a sh... ever I'll look for my rights.

- HRReceived a call from this number - caller ID said Mountainview. The gentleman on the call identified himself as being with Google MAPS, not ads and went right into asking questions about our location - verifying address and if we are across from a dog park (which we are). I could care less if it is in fact Google calling wanting to update their satellite imagery database; what I don't like is that they won't tell you WHY they are updating your info or what the purpose of their call is nor let me get a word in edgewise to ask. I hung up in the middle of his questioning. I don't have the time for this nonsense.
- Caller: Supposedly Google Maps
