I keep getting this phone # calling me

I think it is google as they call me quite often when i change map details and my competitors try to report it as inaccurate (its a competitive field that involves a little cheating)
I think the idea is if you arent who they think you are and are not where they think you are you get deleted as inaccurate data.
I think thats why theres no introduction as to who they are,

I just got a call from this number at 5:30am in the morning. Obviously this must be someone that is unprofessional if they can't call you during regular business hours. They never left a message. It's the second call I've received from a 650 area code in the last few days. If it's Google they have a lot of nerve calling so early in the morning.

We got phone call from this number too. The person sounded very unprofessional asking about our business  then hang up. We got phone calls from Google Maps when we signed up, but then they introduced themselves and give you relevant information about your account so that you know it is them.

No, this is not Google maps, next time they call ask to talk to a manager they are trying to sell you google ads space.

Ericka - That works great if they are calling your home phone. However if it is a business line or you have business attached to the line then the DNC doesn't cover them. It restricts B2C calls not B2B.

It is google maps calling. Not some secret company/government agency trying to gain info on you, if all they asked is to verify your address or web site what diabolical plan could they have? You do publish this info right? That is how your customers know where you are at. One bad connection and everyone thinks the CIA or NSA is after them.

Yes it is Google maps calling and they have a call center in the Philipines, thus the accent and distant sounding connection.  They are verifying Google Local listings cause some of us have errors in our listing and they are trying to clean up things.  I changed my address but the old one kept showing up, so i created a new listing with same phone number and then Google's alogorthym machine had a conniption fit cause it does not recognize different addresses at same phone number.

Pretty sure this is a legit call from Google Maps.  My web administrator told me to expect a call to verify information that we changed on our listing and they called.

I got this call too and I doubt this is Google Maps. They are verifying your info to sell your phone number to junk call lists. I get like 4 calls a day from people trying to sell me "improve your rankings on Google." Enjoy all your junk calls!!!! :-(

They are relentless. WIsh there was a way to block this number from calling my phone.

Just received a call from this number.  Could barely understand the man but said he was from Google maps and wanted to ask about my address change.  I haven't had one is years.  I told him he was calling the wrong person and hung up.

Got a call from this number, recorded a voicemail, but actually didn't say anything.  I did report to Google a few days ago that a number they have listed in Google for an attorney's office is actually my phone number and reported it as an error (keep getting calls for this attorney).  Maybe they were calling to verify?  I will never know since they didn't leave a message.

This number called me but did not leave a message. I returned the call & it's Google Maps, but the number is only outgoing. I had sent a note to google asking them to update my biz address on my listing. Maybe that's why they called. Sadly, I missed the call, because I really need my address updated!
