Yup, I am getting scammed here, too.  It started when I ordered golf clubs online through Hammer Driver last July, it began as $1.95, since then I am paying $14.95 each month...

They were charged to me without my knowledge and without my authorization.  It is a criminal act, it is a federal offense, committing mail fraud.  The people involved are to be in jail for 25 years, that is a serious criminal act.

I have called my credit card to get those charges refunded.  However, my credit card company, Bank of America is not able to block the charges.  So, they suggested that I call EZ Saver to cancel it.  I have been trying this at their phone number, 800-262-6199.

I would suggest that you all call your credit card companies and report them.    Cancel your credit cards if your credit card company can not block the charges.  I am ready to close my credit card for good!

What a scam!  Report this to our congressmen, FBI, police, etc...  They are to arrest those involved con artists and send them to jail for 25+ years!

Thanks, I went to this website and cancelled it based on my ID shown on the credit card.

Will work with the credit card company on getting the refunds, hmm..

Let's hope this will do the trick!  Sigh, what a scam!

I ordered flowers for my clients in April 2009. Suddenly, I started getting $14.95/mo. charges on my credit card account in September. My cc company disputed all charges and issued me a refund, but told me to contact the merchant directly to avoid future charges. I have a better idea - I'm going to cancel the card altogether.

My wife responded to an ad via phone for proflowers.com - she ordered nothing but flowers, Then ??? Easy Saver ??? started hitting her bank acount for $14.95 a month. There was no informed consent during the phone call or confirmation of terms. This was blatant consumer fraud, not an accident. The way this works - the front end company (proflowers.com) signs an affiliate marketing agreement with an essentially useless offering like easy saver, and they get roughly half of whatever the net collections are.

How do I know this is a complete scam and how to best stop these criminals and shut them down?

Well... I worked as a systems manager for one of these criminal enterprises (had no idea of what was going on out on the sales floor for the first while). Started having serious doubts and pumping out resumes, looking for a different job after four months. A few weeks later, a MJTF (multi-jurisdictional task force) swat team (literally, some were wearing body armor, helmets, and were heavily armed) arrived and shut the company down (while I was still employed there). Very dramatic stuff.

After the company was shut down by a federal court order, I was hired by the duly appointed federal receiver to help sort out the transactions and generate consumer refund records for import into their check printing software because I knew the company's database. The receiver liked my work and I ended up doing various technical consulting and programming on several subsequent federal receivership cases that the receiver's law firm handled.

If you want to put these thieves out of business, it's simple but it's a numbers game, requires a group of people to get mad enough to start intelligently complaining in the right places. This is how to do it.

#1. File a chargeback complaint with your credit card company (or debit card issuer). If a company starts running a 2% chargeback rate, they lose their merchant account. After they lose a couple of accounts, they end up finding it very difficult to get a new merchant account, have to accept big hold backs and very high transaction rates - HIT THEM IN THE WALLET!

#2. File a complaint with the BBB - one complaint won't do any good, won't help you get your money back but it builds a track record and the number of BBB complaints filed and the BBB's opinion is a key criteria that the FTC and your State Attorney General's office use when evaluating whether to pursue fraud investigations.

#3. File a complaint with your state's department of consumer affairs (sometimes it's within the attorney general's office, sometimes it has its own website). One complaint is no biggie but a couple hundred complaints and the merchant gets 'on the radar' and their business practices get investigated.

Google [your state name] department of consumer affairs , look for a link to the consumer complaints page.

#4. File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission - again, it's a numbers game, after a couple hundred complaints come in, they do start to take a close look at a company's business practices.

    http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/cmplanding.shtm

The magic number is somewhere between 200 and 300 - the company gets a letter of inquiry, a formal letter of concern.

If they don't clean up their act and another couple hundred complaints come in, then the FTC and the state AG's office talk it over, check with the BBB for their opinion, and decide who is going to take the lead - state or federal agency, and they start formally preparing motions and going to court to get an injunction to force the company to cease operations and requesting that the court appoint a receivership to take control of the businesses assets, bank accounts, etc.

I've been involved within several parts of this process - working for the company being shut down, working for the investigative team to help audit and reconcile shipping and receiving records against sales records and bank transactions. And I've worked directly for the receiver's office who designs a plan of action in accordance to the wishes of the court.

That's basically what happened to me; they get you with the 'your order qualifies for free shipping, click here now' deal.  I got caught out there; and its my fault for not checking my CC bills more closely, I didn't catch that charge until the 2nd time they hit me up on a mostly-dormant account.  I'd ordered flowers a month prior to Valentine's Day and went for the free shipping, but I didn't sign up- that is, I do not recall signing up for anything.

Whatever the case, I called them last night and now the ability to cancel your account is automated (I swear I do not recall creating an acct with them); now its just a wait and see type of arrangement now.

One other thing, if you intend to dispute the charges, be sure that you have all your ducks in a row.

I ordered flowers and realized two months later that I was being charged by get this- not one , not two, but three companies for membership fees!!!!! Easy saver, reservation rewards and discount shopper. In two months the three companies took a total of 77.90 in membership fees. I am calling the consumer affairs division of the attorney generals office tomorrow and speaking with the Internet deceptive practices division. Armed with all of the research I have, I am hoping I can get someone to take up this cause for consumers everywhere!

I'm glad I don't know any of you people personally because I avoid those who carelessly overreact about things that are completely fixable.  Mistakes happen either on your part or theirs and most of you can't seem to deal with it, but I find it amusing.  The source of your problems in in CORPORATE AMERICA.  The upper echelom of management in companies that are unreachable hand down orders to those on the "front line" (those who deal with customers head on) and it's the poor customer service associates who have to deal with your anger and grief.  At least take it easy on them, but forward your complaint through them to their superiors.
The charge itself is a fine print charge you have to take sharp notice of before you continue on with your payment.  I was billed 14.95 a month for 2 months when I noticed it because i was too hasty at the time of purchase.  I called the 800 number, and the person i spoke with was very helpful in correcting this situation for me.
IT'S NO SCAM PEOPLE!  A scam would take your money, keep it, and run.  Just take the extra minute to notice what you're clicking OK for.

Lamet,  you've got to be kidding me. You know very well that this "sign up" process is specifically designed and embedded for scamming.  I just discovered 11 monthly charges that I didn't sign up for in this program I had no knowledge of participating in, specifically because it's embedded as casual communications from proflowers.  You, or the unethical people you appear to be arguing for, are intentionally stealing from inspecting consumers.
I'll be on the phone with them this morning demanding a refund, closing my account, then I'm bringing a lawsuit against this company.  Let's see how they like having money taken against their will.  And, you Lamet sir should stay out of dark alleys.

Hey everyone - watch out - EZSAVR is billing me through my telephone bill.  I've no idea how they got my info to do it.  I have my phone bill set for autopay out of my bank account so I didn't not catch the billing for two months, since I've no reason to open my bill every month.  This sucks.  AT&T's name is on the bill, but the bill is for EZSAVR email service....which, of course, I never ordered.  SCAM.

I just disputed a charge of $14.95 from EZSAVR on my credit card statement. My credit card company didn't want to dispute it, so I called the # listed on my statement 1-800-355-1837 (also listed here, thanks!). I, too, ordered flowers from ProFlowers and NEVER signed up for any "service." They have been charging my account for the past 14 months!! When I called, they immediately said they would take off the charge for this month. I argued a bit, was put on hold, and then the operator said they would refund all charges. I then called ProFlowers at 1-888-373-7437 and they immediately said they would refund all charges - they knew exactly what I was talking about. The operator also told me the process had been changed and you are now required to go through a sign-up procedure and enter your credit card info seperately. This is a total scam and they are realizing the repercussions of it now. I think it's very ironic that there is an add for ProFlowers ON THIS WEBSITE.
