It could well be that scammers are spoofing this number, making it LOOK like this number's calling, when it's not true; basically hiding behind a legitimate number. I do believe this number is legitimately Hewlett Packard tech support (I've called it myself, when needing help), and they would have no reason to want to make calls like you're getting.

I am a disabled senior person & have certain days/hours I receive business calls.  The outgoing message, in my voice mail, indicates days/hours I receive business calls.  Any reputable business does not call late at night.

It has always been my policy to never answer any anonymous, unknown, unidentified phone number/call on my phone.  Unidentified numbers makes me feel callers are hiding something.   If I want to know the identity of the calling number, I go on-line & look up the phone number.

If a caller has important information for me, they will leave a message.  No message? then it's obvious to me, your call is not important, & you are wasting your company's resources.   (Bad company etiquette)

I don't chose to do business w/companies that allow their employees to waste resources, nor do I return calls w/o some indication/message a return call is required.

Persistent, unidentified/no message calls will be considered harassment calls & will be dealt w/accordingly.

Yes yes this is HP's Indian? call center repeatedly returning calls and checking on customer satisfactions in what is almost English, and then gibbering on after they forget to hang up when the call is done. HP, you should be ashamed to use these bozo's.

I just got a call after I specifically said in my email to HP customer service "Do Not Call - respond by email only".  HP products are fine as long as they keep working, but their customer service sucks big time.

    Sure is hot in here!
This is HP.  I had a problem earlier today and was on chat.  My problem was turned over to a technical relay who called me back with a solution to my problem.

This is 100% a scam. I confirmed with HP. I took a call from this number and they wanted to remote into my computer to solve some issues that they said they saw on their end. The situation felt fishy. I quickly called HP and spoke with a technician. They said HP will never call you unless you request a call from them by filing an issue report or something similar.

They have been calling just about everyday. There is no name - just United States written under it. I have never answered this call and have now put it on my auto reject list. If it truly is "India HP" why would they call me when I have a Dell computer with a Brother printer? My theory is that these people are paid on some kind of commission basis, so they make random calls hoping to find someone who owns an HP product that they can talk into some kind of purchase. Beware!

This number is being spoofed plain and simple.  This is not HP.  I just got a call from them telling me my HP computer was infected (which it is neither an HP or an infected computer).  This idiot tried to tell me that my Disk Errors and DCOM errors were due to infection and he needed to connect to the PC to resolve it.  He hung up after I started laughing.

    1) No major brand or antivirus company will ever call you to tell you that your computer is infected.  They have no time for that nor is their a cost benefit to them doing so.
    2) If you call the number back there is no option to talk with a person, you are simply directed to a legitimate HP website.  Having dealt with HP service center for past couple months in order to help some clients, I know this to be BS!  If you stay on the phone you can find an option to connect you with a live person

    Screw You HP
This number calls me SEVERAL times per day. I usually ignore it but I'm so sick of them calling that I answered it to tell them to stop calling but there's nobody on the other end when I do. I called the number back and there's no answer, it's just dead air. I want nothing to do with HP. I called them for tech support about 2 months ago, they were useless, so I got rid of my HP product and went with another company. Now I just want HP to STOP CALLING ME.

The phone number is legitimately HP but the caller is bogus. HP informed me that they only initiate service when the customer calls them. If, in rare instances, they would call, they would ask you to call back to verify that you are indeed speaking to HP Tech Support. When you get a call out of the blue and the bogus HP Person asks you for your PC serial number then you might have a problems. HP told me they don't operate that way. They definitely wait for the customer to initiate the service or tech phone call. BEWARE and VERIFY.

The phone number is legitimately HP but the caller is a scammer. He made this ridiculous claim that HP was monitoring my PC and found that I had malware that they would remove if I would let him link in.  I called HP to be sure and they informed me that they only initiate service when the customer calls them. When you get a call out of the blue and the bogus HP Person asks you for your PC info HANG UP and call HP directly.  There is a new scam every minute so beware.

I have been getting a lot of calls from this number and not answering.  Today I answered the phone and they said they were from HP and were receiving error messages on their server from my computer.  At that point I hung up because this just sounds like an old scam that has been around for a long time.  I don't think it is legit.  Does anyone else have experience with this phone number?

This person said he was with Hewlett Packard and wanted me to spend $200.00 to buy the ITunes product to fix the errors in my computer like right now while I am speaking to him. I told him CVS is a drug store and why should I buy something I don't need after that we go into some words and he locked my computer so I have to get a new computer.

Yes, started a few months ago, yesterday called 4 times in about 3 hours, same old scam.  Hp said they will never call a customer unless you initiated a service call previously.  Just hang up!!
