- Trent S.I got a voicemail saying it was Cabelas Club Visa Credit Card Fraudulent Detection Department. I haven't called back yet because I'm not sure if it's a scam or not. I haven't used that card in years.

- RenaI don't have a Cabela's Club credit card so I have no idea why they are calling me. I am not returning the call.
- Mike S.I do have a Cabelas card. It is a very good company and a top rated credit card. I think that you should call them. It is possible that your identity is being stolen, and some one is taking a card out in your name. I recently used my cabelas card on Macy's web site to purchase new curtains. Some one is now using my card for other purchases. So I am calling them.

- NV ResidentIt is the Cabelas Visa Fraud Dept. We got a call from them the first time we used the card for a big purchase. We have had the card for about a year but never used it and then my husband needed to make an emergency purchase. The card was declined and about 10 mins later we received a call from this number. Although a little inconvenient initially it is nice to see they are taking care of their customers. A lot better than Target atm.
- Caller: Cabelas Fraud Dept.

- AZ ResidentGot a call from this # and called back via the # on the back of my card. Someone tried to make an unauthorized purchase on my Cabela's Card and they caught it.

- Caller: Cabela's Visa Card Fraud
- CSWThe number is Cabela's Club VISA's Fraud Detection Department calling to verify transactions. If you call the Customer Service number on the back of your card, while listening to the music while on hold, this is one of the numbers they mention you can call.

- Roxanna| 1 replyMy husband and I both received a call from this number, he has a Cabela's account but not me. I think its a scam, calling on Sunday morning at 8:30, not responding to these calls.
- Brian replies to RoxannaIt is Cabela's calling about fraud on your card. Just found out someone tried to use my card for $1000. I'm glad they called me.
- BonnieIt's a legit call! Thankful they caught the fraud in 10 minutes :)
- Caller: Cabela's Club Visa
- ChcksterCabela's Visa is being hacked by everyone it seems! Geez why so many fraudulent charge attempts on this card? Happy they seem on top of it, but why is it happening in the first place? I have not had but one fraudulent charge on a Capital One Card almost 10 years ago. I wanted to get the Cabela's Visa but now not so sure. Sorry off the subject...
- Caller: Cabelas
- PA ResidentI attempted to make an internet purchase outside the US for a sizeable amount. With both those factors weighing in, Cabela's Visa Club card declined the purchase and shortly thereafter, my home phone rang. Being very skeptical, I called the customer service number on the back of my card and found that the call was legit. I was transferred to the fraud protection department and my card is back up and usable. I appreciate the fact that they are on top of my account in such a timely manner.
- NathanAll these posts are quite funny. I just had someone give me that number as the call back number to a computer virus scam. Some company called Support Live. Wanted to run some virus scan. Really, just wanted to phish my computer...

- DS| 4 repliesIt's Cabelas
- Fraud Squad replies to DS| 3 repliesPart of a fraud campaign targeting numerous financial institutions. Note the pattern of shill postings all claiming the number is real - an obvious giveaway.
The large number of phony posts claiming the call is real come from some con artists spamming the site to try to fool people. There is a similar pattern to other fake calls claiming to be from Chase, Citibank, Bank of America, US Bank, Wells Fargo, RBC, PayPal, etc. all with the same shill postings:
