- tatiNeed advice!!!
Where I used to live in USA, they received a call from (board education loan) asking for reference for me......I do not live in there anymore and NEVER applyed for anything.....Could it be something envolving a identity theft???
Please let me know if you now about something!!! - Ian| 1 replySallie Mae never even dispersed my loan and they still call me at least 5 times a day.
- Call type: Debt collector
- CrissdoveThey claim they are calling on behalf of Sallie MAe Department of Education....THey are harrassing.
- Caller: Department of Education / Sallie Mae
- Call type: Debt collector
- WarEagle!| 2 repliesIt sure is Sallie Mae, and if you are getting a call from this number then you are seriously behind on your student loan payments....as I am. :(
- Caller: Sallie Mae
- Call type: Debt collector
- Mike replies to WarEagle! How come I am getting at least three phone calls from this number everyday when I never took a loan nor heard of Sally Mae until now that I looked up their number?
- Ptfan74While I do owe this company for a student loan, there is ZERO reasons for them to call my phone 5 times in the last hour 7 in the last 3. That IS harassment and is against the law!!

- Bonnie36117 replies to JoshThey are calling my number but asking for someone else, they leave a message.I am disabled and by the time I get to the phone the answering machine gets it hopefully maybe one of these times I can make it on time so I can tell them who they want does not live here!!
I have NO LOAN with them!!!! - Bonnie36117 replies to SACWell I don't have a LOAN AT ALL with Sallie Mae but you keep calling and asking for someone that does not and never has lived here and I have had this number for years!!!
I am disable and by the time I get to my phone my answering machine has answered it. - Bonnie36117 replies to WarEagle! They have called here numerous times but ask for someone else,I am Disabled so my answering machine gets it since the call ends before I can even get to the phone ,so uh no I am not behind in a student loan with them when I especially don't even have one with them!
Never make an assumption just cause they are calling a number that person OWES THEM cause that may not be the case and in mine it is just that I DO NOT OWE THEM ONE PENNY!!! - I Got A Call TooI just paid my gov't student loan in full and have confirmed that with the Dept. of Ed - ever since then I have received calls from this Sallie Mae thing. They leave an incomplete recorded message, sounds like they are saying "thank you" but I'm not sure!! Never called before and I am unfamiliar with them.
- Caller: Sallie Mae I guess
- Amber replies to SACFor one, that was the most rudest thing I have ever saw.... Calling someone a loser, if it's your job to help people out you think making statements like that will make people not want to talk to Sallie Mae. And for your information, I am not default on my loan. I also am still pursuing my education, so before you go slandering everyone with loans from Sallie Mae, why don't you watch what your saying. Cause it makes you the loser for your comments. With today's times, I would think everyone would be understanding, not rude. If someone has lost their job, has children and no money.... Where does that make them a loser? This comment was probably from someone who has no responsibilities but themselves. People already judge themselves, Don't need people like you helping!
- BOBPay back the money you borrowed and you wouldn't have to worry about the calls!!!!
- Brittniits (sallie(sally?) mae) for student loans basiclly to start payment fees or to get money that you owe....i went to everest institute which is where i recieved my sally mae loan...they actually left a message and a call back number which was unusual. But if u havent takin out a loan or gone to school or co-signed for someone who has...you may want to explain that to them or theyll keep calling.

- annoyed| 2 repliesDear Sally Mae,
Please stop calling my cell phone and house phone 5 times a day. And whats the point of calling if you never leave a message (not that I'd get back to you if you left a message, I don't get back to when you call to begin with). Don't loan your money out to people who can't pay it back, unless you are willing to help them day in and day out to get a job so we poor people can pay you back. Please leave me alone. Thanks.
Sincerely, Annoyed.- Caller: Sallie Mae

- C| 1 replyI work at a business and we keep getting these calls nearly 6-10 times a day starting at 8am. When we start saying our greeting saying thank you for calling they wait until we are finished and they hang up. It is getting very annoyin and they will not stop! We have called them back and all they say is thank you for calling sallie may we have matched your number to our records please enter the last four of your S.S. First things first none of us have loans through them. Secondly oddly enough we are a college so why in the world would we be needing a student loan. Ughhhh
- Caller: Sallie May
- C replies to CThey called nearly 5 times again today. Finally instead of answering the phone in my normal cheerful voice and not stating where I worked, I said hello and FINALLY a woman said something. She said she was looking for a Michael. We have no one who works here with that name nor have we ever had anyone with that name. She said she would take our number off the list. I sure hope they actually do.
