Just called them back after they left a message. The lady admitted they do Google searches and just call numbers they find to names close to it (especially for females since they get married and change last names). She apologized and thanked me for helping correct the error.  Those having issues.  You might try the same thing.  They can look up the number you're calling from to give you th info (even though she kept trying to get me to just give her a SSN.  --I paid off my student loans 2 years ago though so knew the call wasn't for me!)

They call or send me a text with this email "noreply@nmstudentloan.org" and "Santa Fe CC", that I cannot reply to ... but they give this CB# 8007221300 - which is their call back number...I have to wait for 1-3 minutes before I speak with an operator...in the mean time they ask for my account number or SS# (Social Security Number) which I never give because I never had any educational loan business with them. Every month since last year (March 2014) I receive calls from non-working numbers and automated calls that leave the 800-722-1300 #...I have received up to six calls a week...call them and they give me the Navient Collections Dept...same people ask me am I John Avila or John Awella or now Nancy Gardner...I explain that I have had my cellphone number for three years now and obviously these people used to have that number some three to four plus years ago...same NCD person or a different ones takes my number and then says "It takes 48 hrs sir, you will not receive anymore calls from us as I have stated in our records they no longer have the number !"

Navient (http://www.navient.com) aka Navient Solutions, Inc., is located all over the USA and perhaps abroad....They called my today @3:36pm MST and left another text message five minutes before that time...same issue to no avail. Seems like to me they think I am that person and did not take the number off and are plain lazy.

My mobile number has been on the Do Not Call List since I had begun having the number May 2012.

DNC does not cover debt collectors.  There is a separate law that covers them It is called the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  Now what you must do is send them a cease and desist letter by certified, return receipt US mail.  In addition, you should file a complaint at the following links:
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

All of my other expenses make these people a royal thorn in my side, so I'm doing what I can when possible, regardless what the repercussions may be. My credit's already subpar so they can't do much to me, especially being unemployed. I know I owe them, however, I'm not able to make monthly payments all the time, although I try. I was getting harassed both by phone and through the mail until I blocked one number and sent their mail back. That apparently erased me from existence as I'm no longer harassed by these vultures. I know they'll go after everyone affiliated with you from family all the way down to friends, even neighbors. Don't want their messages, shut your answering machine off as well.

I want to give a couple of reasons why these new attitudes with respect to Perfect Garcinia will last. It doesn't sound easy. It is mind-blowing how beginners do comprehend a clear sphere of activity like this. I'm just pointing out the good and bad of both. You might also control your Perfect Garcinia. This is my weakest point: I have nothing more to learn in connection with Perfect Garcinia. I have mentioned that many times before. Why aren't you trying to tell you about anything that describes Perfect Garcinia so well? That was my inspiration and I wish I had this opportunity when I first began. This is forbidden. What more do you need? In this article I'm tackling Perfect Garcinia. I've made several quite good friends along the way. You can blame a lack of morals on parties. Right on to that. Indeed, what's good touching on Perfect Garcinia? Aren't you tired of Perfect Garcinia yet? I'm trying to play both ends against the middle. Sometimes Perfect Garcinia is regulated by the government.

Have rec'd several calls a few weeks apart from this number. Didn't listen because I missed the calls, but research indicates this is a scam/solicitation call. Have made a complaint to the FCC.

That phone number now belongs to Navient Department of Education and if they are calling, it's typically for Student Loans. At least, that's why they call me every other day. Including weekends. When I'm still in school. Cause they're morons.

I've never even had a student loan and I am getting multiple calls a day trying to collect on this stuff. I've been bombarded with calls for more than five years since I got this number, asking for people I never heard of. Just when I think that's finally over, now this-- they are asking for yet another person I never heard of.

It may very well be Sallie Mae, but they have no reason to call me.  I am not nor have I been to college.  I have never taken out a student loan for myself or my children.  Someone from this number called me yesterday and left no message.
To me it is a telemarketing scammer... the number has been blocked!

This number just started calling us looking for someone we have never even heard of!  WTF!  I explained to the [***] on the other end of the line that we have had this same phone number for 27 years and she needed to remove us from her calling list and she goes into crap about how we need to have so and so contact them.  I asked her how was I supposed to have someone I have never heard of contact her.  She said I was lying to her!  I told ger to [***] off!  I have now blocked this number.  She never even gave me the name of her company.
