Called my cell phone. I've never left that number with ANY business.

These same calls are coming from various numbers and driving me nuts!

a collection agency has been calling for over a year since for tiffany louis since i have moved. the first day i got my phone number they have called, and it has never stopped. they say they are trying to collect a debt and if im not tiffany louis, then i should delete this message. i have called them back and told them that they should stop calling my phone number because tiffany louis doesn't exist to my knowledge. They refuse to stop calling and they refuse to believe that they have have been badgering for over ione year. they call from multiple numbers

This number continues to call me multiple times a day asking for a Donald. First off, I'm a girl so that should indicate they have the wrong person but the calls continue. I have called and asked them to remove my number explaining it is my work line and a Donald does not work for our company. Still receiving calls 2 years later. They are a debt collection company. Wish Donald would pay his bills but maybe he is not aware since they keep calling me!!!

This is a new number from the same people, I had the other one blocked.  .I will block this one also.

I happened to be home and answered the call from "800 Service".  Received recorded message about debt collection, a number to reference and a number to call. They didn't specify who the call was for. Same spam/scam messages & calls we received over the summer....but over the summer it was a message for Steve (who doesn't exist here).  Ignore them.

This is a consumer site. It cannot help you , These posts are information only from other victims of these calls. You need to file a complaint with the state attorney generals office of consumer protection.

Typically, these callers are scammers and don't follow the rules.

I picked up the receiver.  No one answered.   Sometimes after these 800 calls, I soon get another call from the local area code.  It's happened so often it seems like a field test.

I got a phone call about this number. I did not answer it. I am not so sure who it was. I did not recognize the number.

Robot. Calls are illegal n any state turn the phone number in to fcc. And ftc.and  your att general also call you phone service provider and tell them to watch your calling numbers comming in

Im in the Army and this number continue to call my office which is not ok my higher up is asking questions its quite embarrassing

I have been receiving these calls for several wks. If I do not recognize the no. or calling party, I do not answer them. The ERC website says they do skip tracing. Apparently they not adept at their job as I do not have any collection debts. If an unknown call comes in, I automatically block it. Then I can toy with them like a cat does a mouse!

Received a scammer call at 1 p.m. 9-26-15 saying they are a debt collection agency and call their 800 number. Someone in congress needs to address these scammers and forget about all their freebe they are trying to pass. I hope no one falls for this scam. I wish I could get my hangs on their throat.

Someone in Congress has already addressed this problem, and all the laws and agencies are in place to do something about it.  Now instead of whining about what the gubmint should be doing, take matters into your own hands, learn what you need to know and what you can do to stop it yourself.

So, the best things to do are to read the following, and make complaints at the provided links.  Also, any communication with these criminals should be by certified, return receipt US mail only:
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
