- Underpaid Preschool TeacherI was a first grade teacher. Making a decent wage until I ran into a nasty mean assistant principal. My contract with the charter school was not renewed. Up until that summer I had been excellent at paying my bills every month always on time. Unemployment did afford me to be able to continue to pay my creditors. I tried making deals with them to no avail. Now I'm working a 40 hour week only earning $ 17 an hour. I'm nearly keeping my head above water. Every couple of months someone new comes along to hassle me. I don't answer phone calls or reply to mail. When I get a better paying job I will do my best to pay them off in a timely manner.

- Margarita replies to EdyDo you work for them? You are such a lier.
- Margarita replies to PissedLier, they don't show up in your house. You will recieve something in the mail first. You are the scumbag trying to scare people saying that they showed up at your house. Obviously you work for them
- Berealistic replies to jillInteresting accusation. I just got a call from them offering me to refinance. She asked question that were not all that invasive but I drew the line at giving her my first name. Why? Because when I answered the phone she asked if I was so & so... so she already new my name. I usually do not answer 800#s because of polls and surveys.. don't have time or interest in them. My credit score is excellent and I owe no one I am not current or ahead with. So my suggestion is for you to shut up!!
- MRVThese folks just game me a rang, for something that is AT LEAST 10 years old. Wow. Just wow. When I pointed out it was well past the statute of Limitations she hung up on me. Yeah, people, not gonna talk me into that. Don't know who you are, where you are, what you are, but go away.

- Pharaoh| 1 replyTthey called several times - and the rare time I talked to a living person - whike they remained polite - but I couldn't get it in their heads that the debt they spoke of didnt even exist - yet they strangely couldnt or wouldnt give me details over the phone as to their source of so called debt info. I asked if they could mail me proof documentation that would let me know the source of their info - on this debt that I confirmed I never even owed - and surprise I never get anything mailed even though they hve my correct mailing address. Yet now they start calling again. And no I DoNT give soc. Sec. Number (nor will I confirm uch info) over a phoneline lol - which they asked for in one of the calls when I talked to a live person - no matter how polite you seem lol!

- Called HereTooWow, glad I checked here. I thought maybe it was from some organization or survey (being an 800 number), but "unavailable" is a funny name for a legit company. (Plus it was called to a private number, on a state and federal do-not-call list). I don't know owe anyone any money. They left no message. I'd agree (and will follow through myself if they call again, as I can't prove anything with just one call) - if this is a fake or simply a rogue bill collector, and they've been around awhile calling so many people, its worth reporting to the local attorneys general, and FTC. Such a plague of such callers!

If they do call again, they owe you money for violating the law. http://www.consumerfinance.gov/askcfpb/1405/h ... tacting-me.html - ConfusedThey left a voice mail playing 20 seconds Shaggy's song "Angel". This was very very odd coming from an 800 number and what seems to be a financial company.
- Called AgainLooking here, it seems this number has been used a long time by "debt collectors" but nobody knows their name! The # is back in use, might be spoofed. (I have no debt to collect.) They called an unlisted, do-not-call state & fed listed phone, which of course means nothing with 800 #s or anything else. (Anyone noticing "do not call" having an iota of an impact?) Best to do for me: blocked (as anyone "unavailable" should actually be!) and reported, though reporting a fake number has its limits.

- CJ replies to Edy| 1 replyIf they came to your home and they are leaving messages with your neighbors you have a law suit. Both those collection practices are against the law. Bill collectors still have to abide by rules and regulations as well as laws when it comes to collection practices. I would find and attorney and discuss their unethical and illegal forms of collection.
