On three separate occasions I've been called by CHRIS JAMES, if that is his real name.  I've spoke directly with other "associates" told them that the person the person they are trying to contact is not at this residence and they just hang up on me.  I'm going to the FTC web site and see if I can file a complaint.

I have VOIP (internet cable-modem) phone service. There are limitless rules you can make to end harassing calls. I simply have this number forwarded right back to their phone. (you could send it anywhere but I figure why bother other people) I just use the service as an Auto-attended switchboard.

    Geez
They dream up of names to go with names they pull out of the phone book.

They drive me nuts!  Keep calling my house, and changing the first name to who ever and whatever.  I know I do not have past due accounts to anyone!

I have told them to leave me alone.  I am calling the Atty. General office in my state to report them.  Once, you tell them they are calling your number in error and they keep it up it is too bad for them!!

I hate to tell you this but just because something is a "write off",or a "charge off" doesn't mean you are cleared of this debt.  It stays on your credit report.

All of a sudden I am getting calls evry 10 minutes on my cell phone!  Having dealt with outstanding debts when my father died 6 years ago I learned not to pick up any unknown numbers,,,especially 1-800 and 1-888 numbers.  In any event I went on-line to explore this and now I know that my next step will be to report them. I only wish I could block them from my cell phone.  That is strange becuse I give my cell number to very few people.

I got a call from these people today!  After the normal "hellos" he asked for me and I asked who he was as his voice wasn't familiar to me (meaning a friend).  He said "Brian" and I asked "with??" he replied "LTD" I asked "regarding" he replied that it was personal business and would only speak with ...."  I said I don't have personal business with this company, have a nice day. Bye.

He called back leaving a message saying he wants to obtain a verbal statment from me and to call him before 9pm today at x2866.

What is the deal?? I don't owe any one any money!  Why would they want a verbal statment from me?

I was notified of a call from these people at my workplace, which in itself is uncalled for. They even had the gall to request to speak to my boss, but declined to mention actually WHY they wanted to talk to either myself or my boss.
VERY unprofessional and rude. If they are seeking to collect a debt, they seem to be going at it the wrong way. You get more with honey than vinegar and with the economy the way it is, I'm sure there are many other people getting these calls as well. I am not one to get on a soapbox about this type of thing, but, I would like to report them as harassing, unethical and violating.

I got a call from them, but it never rang, it just went to the "missed call" tone. So I call back because I wanted to know who it was. I didn't notice the 800 but in my town "741" is common for phone numbers. So anyway, I called back and it went right to a person so I hung up. If this is a financial place, I don't owe anybody anything. I have ONE bill, my verizon bill. I'm not old enough for any bills or any people calling me to say I owe them money. How do I get them to stop??

Someone from this # 800-741-2100 keeps calling my house looking for my brother in law,who i don't even talk too. And she won't get the hint he doesn't live with me. This has been going on for a year at least. Isn't their a law out there that states you can't call people once they have been told not to call!!!!

Two different women from this number left me two messages today from Valerie and Courtney from Ltd. Financial, they said they have very important message and need my attention, so I called back at ext. 2246 per their message, but this extension belongs to different person. I suspect this has something to do with identity theft. Be careful guys, you better contact 3 credit bureaus and have your ss number on 90 days watch and check your credit report immediately..!

    Jill,
Not everyone who has debt is a deadbeat.  I wish we all had a money tree like you.  Some of us have other things like deaths in the family, separations which require maintaining two households, and car accidents. Maybe you should think twice before judging someone just because they can not pay a debt.  God forbid YOU should ever have circumstances in your life which don't allow you to pay your debts.  Then you would deserve to be called a deadbeat too.  Karma is a ******.
