Called my cell only rang three times. No voice mail message //:-((

i have digital svc & i can only block 10 #s. not even enuff. bought a call blocker for $50 that can block 1500 #s. am about ready to block this one any minute.

Yeah, I made the mistake of giving them my cell number this morning and now the calls started.

This number has already called me 3x this morning on my cell and they wait for the message to start (though don't leave a message) so I have to put in my password to be able to delete it...very annoying & it wastes my minutes!!  They call my cell on a regular basis...if it was legit they would leave a message.  I am on the do-not-call list.

Call comes in right after I finishes talking to any 1800#.
Strange it seems like they know I just hang up with someone, and hope I pick up.

This number is from Verizon (the company). If you recently had to contact Verizon for tech support or any other reason, they call you back to make sure the problem has been resolved. It's more of a customer satisfaction inquiry.
AND...if you spell out 800-837-4966 on your keypad, you get 800-VERIZON. Who'd a thought......

1:27am someone from this number,1800837-4966,called. Asked if I was calling about my phone. What is this? I was awaken from a sound sleep. Someone from Verizon is playing games.

5/27 12:15 PDT Tried to call my cell phone, which is not connected with Verizon.  I did have a problem with all of my Verizon services several days ago due to squirrels gnawing on the cables.  What really annoys me is that they don't show any ID and I don't answer any call if it is not identified, whether land line or cell phone.

Well, im pretty sure this is Verizon because I called them today to see about switching from Time Warner. I had a question so I called the rep and left a message and my cell. Great, I am quite sure I'll be inundated with calls now. Why can't legit companies understand that this crap (not returning my call-that's great, but it won't stop there, I am sure...) pisses legit customers off? Don't call me, I'll call you...

It is possible to spoof both the number and the name of a legitmate business. Even if it says Verizon, it is possible it is a spoofer. I have had this number call my home line and the line goes dead when I answer. I called back using call return. It rang several times and a heavily accented woman answered (she sounded Eastern European), but apparently spoke no English and she said was "Call back. Nobody to speak to you here."

Calls every day...when I answer no one is there.

7/8 15:40 PDT Really squirrely day this one shows as Verizon, whom I have been having problems with today, so I answered and there was no one there.  Two previous calls were showing as 888-234-6786, which turns out to be my voicemail number.  How can I be calling from my voicemail #?    One person at Verizon said it was probably spoofed and she transferred me to someone in the technical group, after dropping my call once.  The person in technical kept insisting it had to be something I scheduled and then she cut me off.

This could be a legitimate call from Verizon. I just got a call and let it go to voicemail. It told me that my automatic payment was declined for some reason. This was because I received a new credit card number and the old one was deactivated before I got around to changing it on the Vz site.

Quite right. If they are legit, they won't quit, until they leave a message!

After calling Verizon for tech support I started receiving these calls. No one ever says anything. After a few seconds the line goes dead.

Got this number on my Cell Phone, instead of House Phone, without Caller ID. Only number was displayed.

Remember that Verizon can call you, if you have done business with them in the past or currently a Customer., regardless of a Do Not Call List.

Do any of you know how to block a number on Verizon?

Have recently called Verizon to report an issue with the house line; had to give them my cell so the tech can reach me (so they said). Two calls from this number so far with no message left... great.

It is highly doubtful that your callers are reading here also. We can't stop anyone from calling you either or remove from a list.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.
