- BigA replies to MelanieWell the proper place to post this would have been the thread at that number which you could have easily found by putting it into the search box. In any case, the information I posted is still relevant to your situation. You need to file a complaint with your State Attorney General's Office and go to the link at the CFPB that I previously provided. Without knowing the collection agency name, that is the best we can do for you, and even knowing it, I will not post any more information in this thread, but will provide what I can in the proper thread.
- Lisa BI am continuously receiving calls from this number for my ex-husband. I am no longer married or in contact with this person and I do not wish to be harassed from debt collectors for his whereabouts or number. I would appreciate them removing my number from their call listing.

- SandraAll you have to do is be very persistant & repeatedly ask them 1- their full name, 2- the number they are calling from, 3- if this number is their direct line or is their an extension, 4- the Name of their company, 5- their mailing address, & when or if they ask why you want or need this information , then tell them that you must have this information for your legal department, and to file a complaint to the FTC & the FCC. IF AT ANYTIME THEY BEGIN TO ARGUE OR AS USUAL CUSS -HANG UP....... BUT MORE THAN LIKELY THEY WILL CUSS & HANG UP.......LOL!
- gypsymoth replies to judieThey left voice mail with a request for Steve P to listen to message, if no Steve P do not listen to message. Bottom Feeders.
they call late at night. - JustStopItOur business receives 4-5 calls per day from this number. I use a virtual pbx service that allows me to block calls and I've had them blocked for about 4 months and, according to our calls report, they still keep calling daily. I decided to use a conditional call rule to forward their calls right back to them. Does anyone know if that will get me in hot water? I've also considered forwarding their calls directly to the FCC.

- CJ replies to Catherine| 2 repliesThe Do Not Call Registry is NOT a farce. You don't know what you're talking about. If a company from overseas calls you, they don't care about our laws. Reputable companies will not call or take you off their list. Sometimes though, sleezy companies will continue. The Do Not Call Registry is a valuable resource but does not stop everyone on the planet. Try using that thing you may have heard of called GOOGLE and go to the registry and READ. "Normal business hours" have NO affect for the fly-by-night scam companies overseas. ALSO, and I don't even know why I'm wasting my time when you have done nothing on your own --- but companies that you are doing business with, or have done business with may call you, AND charitable organizations and political parties in the US are allowed to call.
- Charli replies to Netti| 1 replyIf you do so, and damage someones hearing you can be prosecuted. Isn't that interesting how it works. We can't do jack about them but if we use a whistle and it damages the harassers hearing we get prosecuted!
- JamesHi y'all! Thanks for the posts as they call me like 2 or 3 times a day; stop a few then strike up the band! They called me on my home phone on Sunday evenin'. Did anyone go online and look up Penn Credit? They call my home phone ut that number is part of my Cox Communications bundle package which lowers overall bill. I only gave out number to kin as number has no VM box nor can we dial out SUN, JAN 25, 2015. Commercial long distance. Maybe they want someone else but duh it has been goin' on for at least 3 months and I never answer. DoJ or attorney general will not prosecute for they do not go after minorities or foreigners. Government do their jobs for taxpayers? Far and rare! :-)

- Smackaho Inc.Penn Credit "A debt collector, calling regarding a very personal matter....."
Just another bottom feeding bill collector that calls every single phone number they can find, that MIGHT be linked to the person to whom they are trying to collect on a debt, from. These losers really need to hire a better class of collectors, or at least learn to screen their collectors a little better for their listening capabilities. They will continue to call a wrong number even after being told repeatedly, that they have reached a wrong number. Ignorant, dumb a$$ losers, please find a line of work better suited to your demonstrated (limited) capabilities.- Caller: Penn Credit

- JudyGot two calls from these clowns after 7:00p.m. last night. One of them left a recorded message. Just for kicks and giggles, I decided to call these clowns back and tell them where to go
Well, all I got was a recorded message that they could not answer the phone and to please call back later. If this was a legitimate collection agency, they would at least identify themselves and give youa chance to leave a message .- Caller: Penn Credit

- camarks replies to The Phone Guy.Considering it isn't a phone company, its a company doing business by phone- they are subject to state and federal regulations. In this state, if you tell them to not call back & they do- you can sue for 1500.00 a call.
