They've been calling me for over a year. Early Saturday/Sunday mornings and late evenings, they NEVER leave a message, they call between 3-4/a day!
So over it, I answered a few times and they hung up on me,

just got a call, didn't answer, but I googled the # and it brought up all this info about the #.

I keep getting calls from this number too - about 3 times a day.  I don't answer it either and I don't recognize the number.  I've only had this cell phone number for about 2 months and only about 3 people have the number.  No message left and I'm tired of it too.

Oh boy I must be "LUCKY"????   only 1 call tonight, wonder if I'm in for what I've read here tonight?  I got a call from that number saying they were from the fraud dept, I gave them no info after some of what that person said was wrong! Although some of what they stated was correct. again, NO INFO GIVEN!  I called the  number on my statement and thier fraud dept  said they had NO record of calling me. Now it's geting strange. I have a $0.00 balance so WTF?

I have started getting calls from this number.  It is annoying!

They are after your personal information, especially your social security number.  If you see this number on your caller id - DON'T ANSWER!!  It is a scam so they can "steal" your identity!

I have received about 126 calls in the past 3 weeks (about 6 a day), from 8 in the morning to 9 at night.   They claim to be Capital One and want me to pay my bill.  I inform them that I already have and they want the amount and account information, which I will not give them.  I will take Seth's advice and call or visit the FCC website.

I get calls repeatedly from this number. I have my landline forwarded to my cell phone. I get caller id on my cell, but when I answer most of the time there is no response, and the line goes dead.
Very annoying.

This collection agency is calling for Applied Bank for a debtor named Tara.  I have told them for the last week that this is not a good number for Tara and told them to remove my number from their account.  They still continue to call.

I receive several calls from this number every day. I refuse to answer any 800 numbers. If their message is so important that they call me several times a day, why don't they ever leave a message.

Send an email to the address below.  Works like a charm!  Unless you have an account and haven't paid.  Then pay your bill.  In my case we didn't have a card at all.  This is the CEO's and you will get a returned call.

I can't believe it!  I read this board after I received a call from them, and I decided to call the number and put a fake CC number - 1234 5678 1234 5678 and then it asked me for a SSN!  There is no reason a credit card company should ask you this information on the phone!

Called asking for my mother, didn't say who they were

These individules call about ten times a day, never leave a message,
and I would have to drive a motor bike in order to catch them.
They leave no message and ring up in my ear.
I am handicapped with several handicapped persons in my house.  The only good thing I get out of this is I get plenty of excersise running to answer  the phone..  Could you help me,  as this is a pain in the rear...

You should call in and keep pushing star to get through to a live rep and let them know that you are getting calls from them and that you dont have an acct with capital one unless there is someone else using your number for a contact number in your household

It could of been from a person before you had the same phone number and it still update in capital one records as being theres I mean they dont know when some changes their number unless they are notified

Nobody is trying to steal your information because your information is already on file with capital one. If you rec a call from capital one with a call back # of 800-955-6600 it means you accout is either past due or overlimit and if its not you it must be someone else in your house hold. And the reps dont call out it done by the computer and thats the reason why it takes so long to contact a rep to the caller

They ask for the amt and when you sent it so they can document it to the systems so that you dont get a call back its up to you I mean I dont understand why its so hard to be like I sent x amount of dollars on this date and let them know if it was online or thru the mail.
