- YourParanoid! replies to Donna| 3 repliesIf your still scared, just call the number on your card, they have the SAME information as to why they are calling. Lots of times its to verify a change of address and if you received a recently sent card. And dont worry if they ask for your bank or credit union checking account numbers either, its just to verify you still have accounts to pay your credit card bills. They only required me to give them two of my account #s and the appx. balance of each account. The person did have a mid eastern accent.
- Yoda1725 replies to YourParanoid!Criminals have been known to spoof legitimate phone numbers. If unsure, you can always call the number on the back of your card, or their contact info on the financial institutions website.
- Gunnar replies to YourParanoid! They "only" wanted two acct. numbers & balances? And they had "middle eastern" accents? This didn't seem a little strange to you?
Well, you're right. People should just call the number on the back of their card. They'll find that the people calling with those "middle eastern" accents are CHEATS! Those CHEATS like to show up on weekends & holidays. They think that people are more likely to be distracted then. Those CHEATS have information, they've been supplied it by better CHEATS than they are. Those CHEATS are lowly Indian Scammers who are working at, night, in foul call centers for less in a week than it takes an American to feed his dog for a month.
Gunnar - Tygerkat replies to YourParanoid! You gave them 2 account numbers?! Well, say goodbye to every cent you had in those accounts.
- EPCalled both home and cell numbers to "warn" about a fraud on one of my cards, from presumably Chase Bank. I use no cards from that bank so I started questioning what card, what use, they hung up.

- Eileen| 1 replySame as people above. The agent said she was calling to verify my Chase Amazon Prime Visa card. Turned out to be legitimate. I had her give me a call back number, which was 800 278 8830 and she gave me a reference number. Chase uses a partner verification system, so the number was from them.

So why are you here looking up a number when you say you had a legit call? I think it is likely you are trying for some damage control. Too many post reporting what amounts to a phishing scam.
To Future Posters - The numbers and names in your caller ID can be spoofed. It is good to keep in mind that numbers and names you see in your caller ID can be spoofed.
Be careful about what info you confirm or provide.
Better to call back on a number know and trust. - Shockedatfirst| 1 replyThis number turns out to be legit after I called Chase back. They called saying that there was a suspicious activity on my card. But the way they called felt creepy and felt like a fraudulent call, and they called one of my numbers that I didn't provide them with. They told me to call the number on the back of my card and it was verified. They cancelled my card and will send me a new card. They should have just texted me to call Chase.
- Caller: Chase
- Call type: Valid
- Tygerkat replies to ShockedatfirstSo they called a number you didn't provide them with - but you still think it's valid?! How did they get that number in connection to the "suspicious activity" on your card?
- Dont call methey left a message for someone with a different name than mine and said there was suspicious activity on my chase rewards account and to call back asap at 800-454-9078. they also said to make sure my credit card was available. I am definitely not calling them back

- Darcy replies to D BrownThis is not a chase number. I called chase and they informed me that it was a scam.
- anonymousReceived a call from this number today. Checked with my cousin who is a Chase banker, and she said that I should check with a Chase banker in person. Do not give them ANY info. I also checked on Chase website. The number for Fraud Report for Personal Credit Card is 800-955-8060 (8060, not 9060).
