Signed up for Amazon prime credit card, had a credit lock due to the whole equifax breach, and this number called to verify that I wanted to open a new card. Didn't ask for any info just to verify I wanted it open. Legit.

Yep, This is legit. Take the others advice: Call the number back on any chase card you have, The chase rep connected me directly to the fraud team, where the fraud team member verified that I did receive a call and from the same person and extension. That fraud rep then conferenced in that person, who then handed me off.

I had my wallet stolen two weeks ago, and after reporting it, I've been on edge since. For me, all Chase wanted to let me know was that when they were investigating my fraud claim for one purchase, one additional transcation got cancelled on the old account and it was moved to my new account - so it was just a courtesy call (thankfully).

Don't take a chance, just call the number on the back of the card. For reference, the call I received was from 18009559060 and I was asked to call 18665827130 (which I did not).

That's fine for you but what about the other people who get calls from scammers spoofing this number? Better to NEVER give a random caller ANY personal information, no matter who they claim to be. Instead, hang up and call a known number, such as the one on the back of your card.
By the way, you know who called so why did you look up this number?

A male named Ryan left a voicemail telling me to call back regarding fraud activity on one of my cards. He had my full name. Funny thing is that I DID have fraud activity on that card and it was already cancelled two weeks ago, so why would I still have activity on that card. I compared and contrasted the real Chase message from two weeks ago and this "Ryan" dude's message: 1) Chase fraud line is open 24 hours, but Ryan says they are only open for business hours 2) Chase was an automated message, Ryan was not. I called the Ryan's number back to confirm my suspicions and Ryan answered the phone! That almost never happens. He asked for my card number and I said I don't have it in front of me. I could hear the panic in his voice and he wanted to ask for other information but I hung up.

I opened an amazon credit card and was contacted by this number. They were advertising them as been from a Bank that works for Chase Fraud Department and asked me to repeat the one time passcode sent to my phone number. I called back Chase to the following number:
    Customer Protection Group
    Credit Cards 1-888-745-0091 ( Found it here https://www.chase.com/content/dam/chase-ux/do ... y-theft-kit.pdf)

They were able to verify that this was indeed a legitimate call.

Called and left a message about my card having suspicious activity. Then proceeded to leave the same message for me on my sister’s phone (but for my name/account). Checked my account, absolutely nothing suspicious. Totally bogus, keep vigilant!

This was not a scam but a genuine effort to contact us about fraudulent use of my card.  If you got a call from this number, call the number on the back of your card and inquire about possible fraudulent activity on your card.

Called about a Chase card... I have absolutely no cards with Chase, including 3rd party ones like Amazon. So... yeah... either it’s a scam or someone else is using a phone number accidentally for their banking accounts that has never been owned by anyone other than me.

Perfectly legitimate. They called from this number, I sent it to voicemail. I called back at the customer service number printed on the back of my card, and they confirmed that yes this was a fraud alert -- somebody had just called them from an unknown number and had all my card info, so it's time to block this card and get a new card. (Yet again... sigh...)
