800-893-8554 - JUSTICE MONITOR replies to ShayWhen Associated Credit Services makes these alleged harassing phone calls allegedly phishing for information it is possible that they do not even represent the company they say they are trying to collect the money for. Report all calls to your local police and to the Dept. of Justice. Check with the company they say the debt is owed to to find out if they even contract with Associated Credit Services. Then sue, if you wish for a quick settlement. Record every call from them after informing them the call is on the record.
- JUSTICE MONITOR replies to Marc| 1 replyThis company may not have a contract with the companies they say they are collecting the money for. Check with the companies even if you are not the debtor and find out if it was a phishing attempt. Associated Credit Services may try to get you to send them a letter of denial, in which you deny you owe the debt. In the letter they obtain your Social Security number and other personal information. Beware. Report all attempts by that company to law enforcement. Alleged harasser Eric Elliot states his father is a state trooper in Mass. and will protect him from arrest. Let's see if that is true. Report him whenever he harasses you with a phone call, and his dad may be arrested with him on federal conspiracy charges, if guilty. Notify the caller that the call is for the record, record it and sue.
- AnonymThey call and ask for someone that I've never heard of I explain that to them and you would think that would be enough but NOOOOOOOOO! they keep calling.
I have a private unlisted number which I was told was a new never used number and I have registered at that don't call registry fat lot of good that does. - LAMET replies to a collector (oh no ;)Stupid debt collectors
You can make 1 call only to a third party to attempt to get location information. You cannot keep calling if they choose to ignore you!
And when told you have called the wrong number you are required to stop - but you bottomfeeders do not stop - you will call the wrong person over and over again.. that's harassment and illegal - AndyHarold Kennedy called me from ACS...mentioned credit card - TD bank...was very vague - didn't disclose it was a collection agency...very agressive...he had my personal information...he violated several statues...i told him to stop calling otherwise I'd report them to Federal Communications Agency & State Attorney generals...I wish I just hanged up for him - but I was trying to see what they need

- former acs lowell employee replies to JD| 2 repliesi worked for this company for about a year and this was by far the most unprofessional place i have ever worked at in my life. several collectors there were thieves, liars, and criminals. any one who has a bill with this company should never give them bank information such as check or credit card and other personal information because you never know who your talking to also they can only call your home twice in a 7 day period and your work twice in a 30 day period any violations make sure you document the information and keep a record of it and report them to the attorney general.
- bea replies to Justice Monitor| 1 replyI dont understand, why should I call them?
- former acs lowell employee replies to former acs lowell employeeAlso always pay the company you owe directly. Don't even mail payments to this company either.
- 1-800-962-9898I just got a phone call from a Woman named Rachel Hubley and her ext. is 346 and she asked for a person who live on my block. I told her I didn't know this person and she asked, if it's not out of my way, to give the person her message to call back. WTF???? That's not my problem. If you are really looking for this person, you wouldn't need to called to related a message to a neighbor I never met.

- Just MeI owe money...I admit it and I'm trying to pay it back. I've dealt with other debt collectors with no incident. But Associated Credit Services...I have talked to TWO people there (not giving them any info). Neither one identified who they worked for, only who they were trying to collect a debt for. And both were extremely rude and downright irritating. It's not a popular job I'm sure, but it's people (and companies) like this that make it even less so.

- ASFDS| 3 replies2 important things to know: Don't hang up and don't be rude or mouthy to us! And we'll work with you and talk to you with respect. But don't give us that "I can't pay" bs.. find some $$!! Muah ah a ha ah
- FedUpWithDebtCollectors replies to ASFDSAs far as I am concerned, YOU can call my house all you want..............BUT I'm still NOT paying ANY CA ANY $$$$$$$$$$
- LAMET replies to beaTo verify with the Original Creditor whether this is a legal collection attempt. Some of the really bad ones - just take info from your credit report and start calling and they have no legal right to collect the debt from you at all.
- saladGot a call from this number out of the blue looking for a *neighbor*, whom I don't even know nor have heard of. Lady was pleasant enough (Stephanie, x379), but she put off giving the name of the firm til the end, when I asked for that she said ACS (wheels turned of course) and I asked if they were a collection agency, because I would be pretty pissed off if someone called me looking to collect a debt from someone I don't even know - she of course said No...then I look this up and sure enough...You can guess where this written message is going....I'm on the Do Not Call list and I get calls for OTHER people!! Wonderful.
