Well my recomendation to you is to look up the FDCPA LAW. Mr bruce Cambel was well withing his rights as a debt collector and maybe if you would be an adult and call back he may actually be willing to work with you. Trust me from experience the longer you ignore it the worse will get. Call him back, whats the worst that can happen you ref use to pay your bill and he stops calling you or maybe here is a thought, listen to what he has to say, you might actually be suprised, they do actually work with you. man up and return the call!!

YeH Thats going to make everything better u acually believe if your debt gets pulled out of our office it will go away, boy are so so verily misinformed. I don't know what kind of a debt you owe on but maybe you should educate yourself, find out the concequences of not paying your debt back. we actually will help you resolve it. You may not ever get that chance again, so stop being ignorant , ahve an open mind. You are a prime examle that our country is in a recession, take teh money and not pay it back. yeah, let me ask u a question would you do that to a feind or family member. if not then what do you think will happen when you a billion dollar company and you dont pay them back, go away, i think not. As i stated maybe you should educate yourself a little before you make such a bad decision.

Unbelievable!!!!!! I called this company 3 times today in the morning to try to work out a payment plan or settlement on my debt. I let it ring for over 15 seconds twice and nobody picked up the phone. i don't know how they expect to collect money when no one ever answers. If there is a manger reading this please take note because after the 3rd call the collector i talk to did not seem to care that I tried to get through for over 6 minutes total.

Actually, the correct statement according to the FDCPA is

if you (ACS) claim (the debtor) owes a debt, it is YOUR responsibilty to provide proof and documentation that (the debtor) owes (money).

Hey Mike.  Get a life man.  Go on a website thats fun and leave these people be.  And you are right is it legal.  NOT PERFECTLY Legal, but kinda legal.  Loopholes are there.  Unless you actually have a clue which im sure you dont.  Your just a dbt colctr.  Thats all you will ever be.  Behind a desk all your life talking to people on the phone praying for that extra paycheck every 2 weeks. Torturing people while we are in a recession i might add.  Again let these people be. But i no you wont.  Cause a true dbt colctr is heartless, cruel.  A big ole smile with a big f-you behind there back.  You people make me laugh.  The only true people here are the ones that owe the money.  I no I dont cause I was a colctr and I quit.  I was awsome at it.......which is why i quit....i was becoming something and someone I am not. A backdoor loser.  GOODLUCK MAN.

I called TD BankNorth and they confirmed that they do indeed use Associated Credit for the their third party collection. It is my understanding that they use a few different collection agencies depending on the type of account you hold with them.

The reason its hard to get through is because most of the collectors are on the auto dialer which means they are unavailable to take incoming calls. That's the problem with the company they constantly put people on the dialer which calls the same people over and over and a lot accounts just sit there for months never to be seen or worked. if you can't get through the best thing to do is push 0 and the receptionist can give the call to a supervisor

DIALERS ARE USELESS IN COLLECTIONS replies to Marc
I am a former employee of ACS and now work at CCA in Norwell,MA. As most of you know we have First Marblehead Educaton Services (aka TERI) and our business is growing we need several collectors to start ASAP as FMER IS GROWING. This is the best paper we have here and everyone here is making great money on the file.We have a much better bonus structure on it than ACS as ACS jipped you for years. Believe me its 10 times better than that WF you guys have now after you were promised it was great. Also we won't put you on the dialer calling wind all day long either. You'd think by now they would have learned that their dialer is useless and runs up costs to the point where they can't give out raises. We are located at 700 Longwater Drive
    Norwell, MA 02061

    Sad
It's a shame that people have to resort to extortion for a living.  It's even sadder when they enjoy doing it, which is the case with ACS.  These are the bottom feeders, the lowest form of scum in the ocean.  Uneducated, unskilled thugs.  This is what convicted pickpockets and muggers do when they are on parole.  Don't ever trust them, don't provide or confirm any information, and don't be stupid enough to give them money.  Contact the company that they are supposedly collecting for and deal with them directly.  Street trash like this will never go away as long as there are victims to rob.  Stand up for your rights and don't let ACS con you!

You know whoever you are you really need to keep in mind this is the worst economy ever and a lot of your debtors did not ask for this. Most of them were once hard working employees who lost jobs of no fault of their own pounded the pavement looking for a job then their unemployment ran out and now they can't pay their bills and have to deal with some insensitive prick at ACS who could care less about them and only wants a commission check. The way ACS is going these days you may be out of a job yourself. They lost Wells Fargo, had to move to another office, they have a very bad reputation in Central and Eastern Massachusetts as a place to work and a lot of companies such as staffing agencies etc. want nothing to do with them. Not only that many Banks in the state such as Eastern Bank,DCU,Rockland Trust will never use them same with many other big companies and major Banks as well.Collections is all word of mouth.ACS screws over an employee many who go on to other companies and tells them all about ACS, Cindy Burwick, and how they really don't work accounts(dialer notes) and there you go !!!
