Blocking the # does not work............Help

Changing the password for your e-mail account does work.......I changed mine and those annoying text stopped..........YEAAAAAAAAAA

Looks like it's class action suit time against VZW.  Appears they are willful partners in a scheme to defraud the public.

it is a scam that the phone companies love, they bombard you for 2 weeks, enough to make money but not to loose you as a customer. Nokia own oz mail.
Others tried to get it but now they are using them as a service to increase their bottom line. The messages are worthless but they get you to pay for unlimited messages and air time which is very profitable. They forward you to call centers that dont work pretending to know nothing about a problem existing for years. Any way, when you call let your provider aware you are willing to cancel your service even with the scamming fee, they will solve your problem right away. Fido call 465641 and oz mail will stop instantly.

I just checked my cell phone bill and saw that I got two $0.25 International txt charges for this txt. I will be calling my service provider to get it adjusted/resolved.

I've been getting texts from 1-180-122-22269 as well. I get them every 3-4 days. I called Verizon, told them what was going on, what the number was, but neither myself nor the rep could locate the number in my text records. I let her know that the text told me to reply to get them to stop, but I didn't know where they were coming from and i didn't want to get a ridiculous charge on my bill. So what I did was I had the rep block 801-222-2269, it's a Provo, Utah number. I'm waiting a couple days to see if the texts stop, because it's kinda annoying.

I've read other forums and people are saying that it has to do with the mobile e-mail applications, because it is powered by OZ Communications. But I'm not sure if it's true or not. Just have Verizon block the 801-222-2269 portion of the number and see if they stop. That's what I'm doing. I'm sorry for the people that DID reply to it, which is what the VZ rep wanted me to do first. So a tip, NEVER NEVER NEVER reply to something that says 'charge may apply', because it more than likely will! Hope this helps!

I am on the phone with Verizon now.  You def need to explain it clearly and block the number online then get them to call tech support to have it blocked.  This board is very helpful bc the customer service also had not heard of it but he printed it out for his supervisor.  Gotta love googling 800 numbers.

I get these all the time in twos!! What the heck is this? Im getting charged for replying to an international  number and then I called and its not a working number! Bizarre!

Oz Mail is what verizon calls their email client on their cellphones.
But we have been getting text messages from this number as well and being charged for international text messages.

i got charged for that same thing on my bill for an "international txt msg" and it was all from the "oz mail" thing. yet when i called vz they tell me that its a legit charge on my bill and that they wont credit me for the charges..yet it keeps coming up in txt msgs and yet, vz does nothing about it. vz is garbage now, i used to like using their wireless service but i really thing that im gonna wind up cancelling it out and switching to att or tmobile

I think this is OUTRAGEOUS! It's blackmail . . . it's like Mafioso mentality . . . "Pay us and we'll stop"? Brandon . . . I am down for a law suit. My sister's a lawyer . . . I am going to let them add up and we'll see . . . I think ultimately Verizon should have cleared this phone before selling it to me and they will foot the bill when I call them to have something deleted from my bill for the text abuse I am receiving!

I received a double text message from this number on my cell phone this morning, and I am certain that this is an unwanted spam message.  It notified me to reply to stop these messages, but I am not going to do that, for fear that it will announce me to the sender.

I just bought a BB Curve on Friday.  And this number constantly texted me.  Went to Verizon, said to reply and it wll stop.  But it never stopped.  I put a block on my account for this number since Verizon allows up to 5 cell/text block.  Blocked 801-222-2269 (since that's what it shows on my text usage statement).

Don't reply stop to this # it's an international # and can not be blocked. If you reply stop they charge you $4 for a international text.

Stop texting me

I just bought a droid. I can barely figure out how to use it, much less block calls. In the past day and a half, I have gotten no less than 30 texts from this number. Obviously a scam on making money, but how do I stop or block the number on a droid..HELP!! This person is a jerk and needs to grow a concience

I Hope this can help someone.  I am waiting to see if "what Verizon Finally told me" Works!!  The Messages that keep coming in have something to do with your "Mobile Email".  Tell Verizon (technical support), to "Undo" your mobile Email (just for a few moments) and THEN.. Download your Mobile Email Again!!  It will cost you nothing and you probably can do it yourself without technical assistance too.  I don't know How Right Verizon is.  They were wrong before when I needed help with this!  They told me they would BLOCK this number but I STILL got these STUPID messages, "back to back," at anytime of day or night!!   Well, I'm hoping that what they just did will finally STOP this, once and for all.  Don't ask me WHAT our "Mobile email" has to do with these BREW 118012222269 messages.  I don't know!  But I do know that I was FINALLY told that the word BREW is a "Code" word for Mobile Email and somebody's making money, or trying to, On Us!!  (if you reply to that text, you will be charged by Verizon for it too!)  Good luck and again... I'm still waiting myself to see if what they did Today has finally fixed this problem for myself!  I'll post back in a couple weeks, to let you know if it worked or Not!!
