OR, we could actually have REAL people post on this site for consumers, not trolls posting on behalf of predatory companies like Williams & Fudge.
    Just a thought...

This is a standard tactic they use.
They are NOT a law firm.
The fact that they routinely claim otherwise says all anyone needs to know about them.

    C. D. Payne replies to Question
Yes, everyone posting about their blatant disregard for the law & predatory collection practices is wrong about this company.
Believe it or not, but "dispute & complain" is actually the best way to deal with illegal behavior regarding a non-existent debt you are being harassed about.
    Understand now?

Oh, well, in that case, let me send you the PIN to my bank account!
If a company reports a debt to a collection agency, it MUST be valid!
    Thanks for enlightening us!

Yes, why would anyone be angry after receiving 100 calls from a collection agency regarding a debt they were already paying?
Why do you trolls even bother?

Yeah, everyone - No one with a website could be running a scam.
My long lost uncle - The Crown Prince Of Rhodesia - told me that when I wired him some "good faith" money after receiving his e-mail out of the blue.

Right - How could a company possibly make money using a toll-free number?
And everyone knows the phone company only issues those to legitimate businesses...

Yes, it certainly couldn't be an illegitimate debt, nor harassment.
Trust Fred on this - I mean, he actually works there, so he knows.

Why pay an illegitimate debt to a predatory collection agency that engages in blatant harassment?

And, maybe, if it was a legitimate debt, they'd actually contact you in writing with a copy of the debt before harassing you on the phone.
(It is the collectors that are "hiding behind the telephone.")
    Did you ever comprehend that?

If they have your name, number, and SSN, but can't figure out where you live, they're not very good at their job.

I do know about the FDCPA and Privacy Laws. I have studies these laws and others for years.  Did you know its a felony for people to whom you may owe money to release your private information to a debt collector?  Did you also know that if a collection agency bought our debt, that you are only obligated to pay what they bought it for?  This is because the original debt has been settled for a lower price.  There are also strict stautes of limitation.  If a company doesn't take you to court within certain time frames, then they can no longer collect on that debt.  My husband lost his job 2 years ago, and hasn't been able to find another.  We ended up losing our car.  But the finance complant that held the lein on my car called my sister, that was NOT on my applicationas a reference.  They also called my ex-brother-in law.  Him and My S-I-L were divorced before I even got the car in the first place!  I have no credit cards, and I have never been to college.  My husband had a couple of student loans that were paid off over 10 years ago.  So why would Williams and Fudge ask for me?  There aer many scams in the guise of debt collectors now.  Its a wise thing to screen your calls and make sure its legit before answering.  Its also a very good idea to only deal with collectors via the mail.  Not everyone being harrassed is because they are irresponsible.  And insulting people because they are having a hard time financially doesn't help anybody.

I have been trying to pay off this Williams  and Fudge company. My debt is supposed to be 1600 when I call these people to pay it off they say I owe 3200. I explained that it is impossible so Monica then calls back and says I now owe 2700. I told her that is not possible. She calls back a few days later and says I owe 1669. I said that is more like it. I tried to set up  a payment plan with her, but she tries to get my checking account. I let her know that I will not do that but I will send the payment in like I have been doing through bill pay at my bank. She asked when would I like to pay this off. I said by fall. She then says if I would not give her my account, She then says I should just save the money and send it all in all at once. Sh also said at this time that my account would most likely be sent to another agency and I would still have too pay the 500 dollars crazy fee they have charged on my account. Is this possible, can the do that even if they close out the account? Is it legal for them too do that. Today she calls me and says they cant work for free. I told her the school hired her not me and I would pay the fee to the Agency that I pay my debt to. She got upset and says she is trying to help me and hung up.

"gixx" is obviously one of the SCAMMERS at this so-called collection outfit, more like slightly organized crime.  Of course, the LAW requires them to send you written proof of any debt they claim you owe when you request such proof in writing, but these crooks don't like it when people learn their LEGAL RIGHTS on a website like this.

So leave them alone and so they can break the law in peace LOL
