I just got that call from the same as you what did you do

I am dealing with the same man right now. Says he's a Christian man and is will to allow you to make it right by paying $300 for the broken work computer. It makes me nervous just because it is my luck that it could be legit. But I have been pushing off making a payment until I can get this figured out

It is most definitely NOT "legit" - look, if you'd committed a crime, the cops wouldn't allow you to pay your way out of it!  Call your local police department - talk to them - this is just another scammer trying to scare someone into paying him money!

my friend was on meet me last night and the same thing happened to him. the [***] are using yet another number 803-761-5049 Jonathan Jenkins is the supposed fathers name. and the pretend cop number is 803-486-1589  the female was going by the name of Britney on meet me.  I googled one of the pics and surprise surprise the pic came from a porn site. My friend is trying to get the cops to do something about this and possibly the feds.

A friend of mine just had this same thing happen to him last night and is dealing with it now. I had him send me the pics that she sent and I put them in the search bar and came up with an exact copy from a porn site.

So I think the same thing is about to happen to me.. Met he girl "Lisa" on pof.. Says she is 28 from NC.. Turns out to be 16 from Myrtle beach SC.. Sends me a nude pic and I block and delete her.. I never sent her a nude pic.. Her dad text me today (a week later) saying that he took her phone and found nude pics of me and is going to turn her phone into the authorities.. She I be expecting a fake call too??

Met a girl on pof, her name is hannah. Said she was 20, but later on said she was actually 16. The only time she would text is in the morning. She was very sweet and sent me normal pictures, than later she wanted to talk about  sex. I never fall for it, i would be very respectful because  that's the way i am.  She said her grandfather was very bad in the hospital due to a flood... "which know that i'm thinking "we have not get a single drop here in Texas", later on, "today". I got a call from his father.. telling  me she is  underage and that will take me to court!!! Honestly  i was freaking  scared.. he told me that the grandfather was in the hospital and he found out about this.. and that i was the one to blame if he died!! than he texted me saying, that he was going to talk to his wive and decide what she says. Than asked me if i was going  to pay to deactivate  my phone. I said no, because  i did nothing  wrong. Honestly that's the first thing i did... i changed my number.  Than i asked a layer, he said it's a scam, these [***] are a team to extort money from people... he is the number 8037248805. Seems like its from south Carolina code are. My best advice, don't talk to anyone under age... or get on those sites. People are full of [***]! There are also more scams, for example  the one about the fbi. It's. Bullishit too.. becareful everyone.

Christamighty.  Have you read the other posts?  There's a scammer going around trying to extort money from guys trying to make contact with underage girls.  It's an extortion attempt.  Extortion.  E X T O R T I O N.  Extortion.  What part of the word "extortion" do you not understand?   Extortion is a crime. Attempted extortion is a crime.  Go  to the police and make a complaint for attempted extortion for chrissakes!

'Fraid so.  If he does call you,  and tries that crap on you,  tell him about this site and that you know it's an attempted extortion and that you are going to file an attempted extortion complaint on him.  Yell at him and talk over him.  All these people understand is brute force, so to speak.

It's an extortion attempt.  Attempted extortion is a crime. DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING.  Go to the police quicktime.  Make a complaint of attempted extortion.  Extortion is never legit.  Ever.

You should go to police and make a complaint for attempted extortion.  Read the other posts.  Do not pay them anything.

I couldn't agree more with you CW on this. Maybe these folks need to turn this all over to the Cyber Crimes division of the FBI.
