I had this number on my caller id- I too, am glad I wasn't available to receive it

Receive calls from this number at last twice a week and sometimes more. We are sick of it. I do not answer the phone. Under the number on Caller ID is that the call is from Pensacola, Florida. Did not leave a message today. Sometimes leaves a message saying reduced credit card rate saying name is "Jonathan from Credit Services" -- What crock. We are on Do Not Call Registry, but does no good.

2nd time this week that I have gotten a call from this number. Each time I got the same message as everyone else about lowering interest rate. When I called it back it said the number was disconnected or no longer in service.

I also have been getting these calls more and more frequently, so this time I pressed "1" to speak with a representative. The last time, I told them I was on the Do Not Call registry, and they hung up. This time, I asked what company they were with. The guy told me he's with Card Services. I asked him what company that is. He said, "You know on the back of your credit card where it says to call Card Services? We're Card Services." So I asked him which credit card company he was with. He said they represent Visa, Mastercard, all the major companies. When I kept pressing him to tell me which company he was with, he said "You're a f***ing moron. You don't listen," and hung up. I am SOOOO tired of receiving these calls. The government really does need to do something about it because I'm sure there are plenty of unsuspecting people out there who wouldn't think to question it.

I just got a call from Account Services. He refused to give me their number, told me the name of the company was Account Services. He got mad when I mentioned I would report them to  Do Not Call, then he finally hung up after asking me in an increasingly angry voice if I wanted to save money.   He got angry, made no sell, and is being reported here.  What a horrible job he has!

Called the FTC number listed above -- a lovely woman took the info and said she'd file a complaint on my behalf. Took less than two minutes.

Grrrr.

I got a call from these [***] for the third time.  First I tried opting-out through the automated system, second time I spoke to a CSR who was very polite, third time I asked for a supervisor because of the repeated calls.  Supervisor said his name was Johnny Davis asked for my phone number, when I started to mention this was the third time I've tried to get off the list he said "You have a blessed day" and hung up on me.
Blessed day indeed :/

It looks like the phone company could and should do something about these slime balls.  I, too, am on the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST but doesn't seem to do any good.

They are back online. Excellent resource for those who want to know more about these scams.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. These may be listed phone numbers, however they are not the crooks calling you. THEY ARE VICTIMS. THEIR PHONE NUMBER WAS SPOOFED BY A KNOWN SCAMMER.

They've been calling me almost everyday for a month. (different numbers each time) either says "unknown" or "marketing" or something else on Caller ID. I say hello. There is a recorded message. "There is nothing wrong with your credit card, but this is your last chance to lower your interest rates". "Press 1 to be connected to an operator". I press 1, and I've gotten many people. Today it was Aeisha. I've gotten hung up on when I ask too many questions. Today, I just said, "stop calling my house. I know this is a scam". She got angry and said, "I sure will put your number on the no call list. NO ONE wants to hear YOUR voice again." CLICK.

I've filled out numerous complaints on the FTC site.

i got a call from 850-473-1276, and when i answered the phone it was dis conected, so i called it back and it said it was either disconnected or no longer in service, i would love to have the home numbers of some of these phone operaters so i can call them and waste their time when they are busy or taking important calls,

same as you folks.They called twice today.

My wife got first call, told 'em to observe nationwide don't call list, and put us on his too.

Next call about 8pm.

I told him i wanted to know where I could write to them with request in writing to be put on the don't call list.


I heard him say to someone "He wants details of where we are."

Next he asked for my phone number which outraged me and I said "I THINK UYOU F***ING KNOW IT, you called ME , YOU ASS****!.

He said "What I can do is pray for you tonight because you had no reason to cuss at me. Have a blessed day."

Hell i didn't have a reason.

Next time I'll be more cool.

BEWARE - this is obviously a major scam, and i have read about it in many other places.

They have called me no less than 100 times in the past year. Finally, i picked up tonight when t hey called... pressed 2 to speak to a representative... they came on, introduced herself as 'Charlene" from "Card Services"... and asked me to verify my name and phone number. I said... "Card Services from what company?" and she said "i need you to verify your information first"... and i said "of course, just tell me what company is calling?" and she hung up.

Not only is it an obvious scam, but the people involved know they are in on it and doing something wrong.. or they wouldnt hang up on everyone who asks them who they are.  They should all be put in jail.  Everyone should do everything they can.. petition their congressperson, whatever. to put the people perpetrating this very common scam, behind bars!!

Frantic woman's voice, automated pitch:"do not panic, but we're calling about your credit card, press one to speak with a representative about lowering your rate." Pressed one to ask for ident and to give them piece of my mind (DNC list, illegal to use a computer voice, illegal not to announce company name, etc). Waited a few mins and then hung up.

I received a call from 850-473-1276 and was told by an automated machine the company is card services.  They call my home atleast 3 times a day so I finally pressed one to speak with someone.  I received a rude man by the name of John Everrett, I asked to speak to his manager as I wanted my # removed from this list and he said "wow, you sound pissed." I explained that there is no need for them to call me any further as I have NO CREDIT DEBT.  He laughed and told me I was pathetic as I am at home on a work day.  I'm an at home mother of 3 who doesn't need this crap.  I put John on speaker phone and used my cell phone to record the the things he was saying.  He told me that I shouldn't be ashamed of prostetution cause that is what I must do for a living.  I laughed and allowed the call to continue allowing him to bury himself deeper into his whole.  Within this call I was called a "lady of the night" an [***] and many other terms I would not use.  These companies are scammers and you should report them to the FTC and also to the do not call registery as they will report the numbers as well.

This number is totally a scam. I pressed one to speak to a person, and when he came online I said 'someone is at my door, can I get your number to call you back?' Of course, they hung up, but at least I wasted a moment of the scammers time.

850-473-1276, just said Pensacola FL with telephone number, I didn't answer because I did not recognize the number.

Got a call from these numbnutz today (8-8-08 at 1:33pm CST).  I pressed #1 and some dumb girl gets on the line and talks really fast.  I asked for the name of the company and the beeyotch hung up. I too called the number on my caller ID and got a "disconnect" message.  Freakin morons.  I am on the Do Not Call list too.  Not getting NEAR the number of calls as before but, they are still slithering through.  Thank Goodness for this site.  I totally LOVE it.  Just sucks that there are so many of us having to deal with these stupid calls to begin with.
