I got the same type of ridiculous threathening message regarding a family member.

I got the same exact message as well.....I was told I would need to appear.  They told me there was a complaint filed against me and asked if I had received my subpoena.  What's amazing to me is they wer calling about a debt that had already been satisfied 1 year prior.  They changed the account #.

I too called the # back that called me and it's a flipping cell phone.  The caller answered but didn't say anything, I listened to all the people in the background.  Everything is scripted.  I heard the one girl asking for a social security #..the person on the other line must have gotten angry and she said (as she did to me) good luck in court.  WHATEVER!!!
Has anyone filed a complaint with the better business Bureau?

Same number, same message.  If you don't have time to call but have time to leave a blog, go to www.ftc.com, click on consumer protection, file a complaint.

These people are frightening everybody to death, They need to be sued. Most of these debts are out of status of limitation anyway and i think that's why they're scaring people to get whatever they can immediatly .This harassment.

I also rec'd a left message from these people at 11am today, from a Tiffany Walker.  Since I never answer calls from an unknown number or caller, that's how they managed to leave me a message. After listening to the message, my heart started racing. I started to wonder who in they right mind would put out a restraining order against me. "What did I do?" Before I decided to call them back, I tried to look up the company name with no return. Then I searched the number and found this site. Thank goodness I read this first before calling them. Is there anything we can do as far as legal action against these people to stop these harassing phone calls?

Just received a phone call from a Jason Mills, so he stated. He went on to tell me that he was a special investigator and that he is contacting me in regards to a complaint being filed against me Pursuant to claim on an affidavit E.O.T - 2781. And that i have been named as a responded and the a court action, must appear. To call (850) 629-8216 and to forward this information to my attorney because this was going to be a restraining order. I have 24 to 48 hours to opposes this matter. Then he went on to say if i feel that this has been error to contact the same #. This is all bull Crap..... Don't return any calls back to them....

This is funny! I had just got my wages garnished! This has not happened to anyone else? I told them to go to hell when they called me! Ill not do that again. Now they are taking 300.00 $ a month out ofd my check. Wish I would have just taken some sort of offer! Ill never get another credit card that is for sure. Ill

ill be-you must be one of the scammers!! no one can garnish your wages for a payday loan. its has to be court ordered and the scammers cannot do that. you are most likely one of them!!! leave us alone!!

my god!! i just received a call from them too! I did call, and told them i was someone else. They gave me a case number and they asked for me. I told them it wasnt the person they were callin to. They asked me to contact "that person". I told them i couldnt, but i could get a hold of a friend of that friend. I asked what if i cant get in touch with the person ur lookin for within those 24-48 hrs! THey told me not the worry about it that they would make a note but to contact that person as soon as i could! Im scared! They sounded serious about legal matters! I have issues with the bill collectors and I asked if they were callin in regards to some store, they said no, and that they could not give me any information. They even wanted my last 4 s.s numbers. They asked me for the last 4 digits of my phone number.....and I GAVE IT TO THEM!! I FREAKED OUT!! WHAT DO I DOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????

Well they have put themselves on the BBB as of July 2011 and now have a Facebook page which is odd. I am not sure what they are about. I too am trying to find information on them.

Dawn, you need to get your bank account changed because they will be debiting your account. Call your bank immediately!!!

This company is using scare tactics illegally! I reported them to the FTC. It is illegal to threaten anyone with jail time, seizing of property and other threats. If you gave them any personal information, such as your bank account, IMMEDIATELY change your bank account. Notify your bank as they will take money out.

The company is NOT any legal intitiy. They are a collection agency only and fall under the Fair Debt Collection Act. If you want more information on your legal rights, go to https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ to file a complaint. Very easy to do.

I hope this information will help anyone who is having to deal with this company. Although payment of debts are the responsibility of the consumer, a person should not have to feel threatened in order to resolve a debt.

Report them to the FTC. I have listed information on this in this thread. Do not worry, you haven't given them enough information to worry about, but if they threatened you with incarceration or seizing of property, report them.

Yes...my brother recieve call on his cell regarding a debt that l owed...first how did they get his number..and they told my my brother....that l was going to jail!!! they were rude and pushing...this is scary...and they are scammers

I received a call from this number some Investigator Josh Jones lol! They stated that I owed some money to a company in 2010 stating that they sent a supeona to my house and they received no reply they also stated that they would have the sherieff come to my house to serve the supeona so I asked for my court date to appear she saId that that would be in there some ghetto [***] black girl! The little Hindu people are getting smarter they are the ones that usually call, you know the ones that can barely speak english lol Now they have the hood working for them PEOPLE BEWARE!! I asked her what was the address for the company that was suing me she stated they didn't have that info so I'm waiting on he sherieff to come to my door with a supeona!! LOL I swear don't believe this crap they will get your info and leave you broke and F@#$% up! They will never get my information I don't care what they already have and best believe if they are calling you they have your social security number, your address and your work number.  They got my information from a loan I applied for online and they sell your information to other [***] who will call you and try to access your bank account over the automated line( yeah they do that too) so yea they are some really needles in the a@@! Your best bet will be to get call block on your phone so that you can block the numbrs they call from and unknown caller Android users check your market they have all kinds of app you can get to block them.
