This is a scam!!! They told me that they were calling to collect on a credit card balance that I had had back in 2003.  When I said that it did not appear on my credit report the answer that I got was that it was because it was over 12k to which I stated why would my mortgage show on there then?  He had no response.  I got the name of the credit card company and called them directly just to check. Of course there was no record of me or that card.  DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE BACK.  They stated on my answering service that I was being sued and someone had filed a restraining order against me.  I will be reporting this number and the company

I received a call today from the Continental Legal Support Company threatening me with being arrested and saying a restraining order had been issued against me.  When I returned the call at 850-629-8216  I was told that they were calling to collect a debt on a credit card that I had taken out with HSBC bank back on 5-7-03 and that the outstanding balance was 12k.  They had personal information including my social and current address so I thought at first that it was legit.  I then ran my credit report and discovered nothing on there from HSBC so I called the bank directly.  They had no record of any such debt under my name and said that they DO NOT contract with any outside agency for collections.  This company threatened to send the police to my home and my place of business to serve and or arrest me.  I have filed a complaint with the FTC as well but thought the BBB should be notified as well.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hi all, I got home and had this same message on my machine. My sister had recently had something similar a few months ago, but the script has changed. They used a last name that I havent had for over 10 years, but I still thought "maybe my ex did something and they are coming after both of us" Luckily I googled the number and found this site (THANK YOU to all the posters) I called back and left a message giving only the case number they left on my machine, told them that my husband was an attorney and my sister just went through this scam a few months ago and if they continue to call me THEY will need the attorney because I will sue them for harassment. I mean seriously, if you are going to be involved in a lawsuit wouldnt you be served with papers and not a call on your answering machine? Thank goodness for sites like this that we can refer to

I received a message from Continental Legal Support, giving me an affidavit#. I would like to know if anyone has every been served or subpeonaed by this company. When I spoke to them yesterday after asking for documentation showing I took a cash advance out all they could tell me is it was a cash advance for November, 2010. They have no documentation and they said they were suing me for $1,000.00. Please let me know if anyone has been served...

It is a scam. My sister Hadrian calling her at work and they harassed her for 3 weeks and even threatened to talk to her boss to let them know they have a low life who doesn't pay their bills. After her 3 week battle with them (which she turned the tables and kept calling and harassing them) she asked "why do you guys keep calling on this scam" and the lady reported "because half the time it works and people give us the money to just get rid of us" they then hung up on my sister and she hasn't been called since.

I received a voice mail from Ms. Moore from 850-629-8216 stating that there was a restraining order against me and a judgment against me and my attorney should contact them within 48 hours. I called the number and a fast talking man told me that I owe $1500 to a place called Cash Advance for a pay day loan taken out on January 6, 2011. I asked him for the actual name of the company he told me the name of the company is Cash Advance. He could not give me specific details.

Just got a call from two people saying they are special investigators.  Stating that I took out a loan in the amount of 500.00 from a payday loan company in January.  When asked if they could send me some documents...they said they have made several attempts at serving me a supbeona at my address.  they then informed me that I would be arrested at my place of employment but to avoid being put in a spectacle at my job....I need to pay them 1,000.00 immediately.

I recieved a call a few months ago from my brother stating a detective Jason Mills needed to talk to me about a restraining order and other legal action.  They gave me 48 to 72 hrs to respond.  I did so and ended up seting up a payment plan with them.  I just recently recieved information from a friend about this company and he told me to look them up. I found this web site.  I am planning on stoping the payments.  I was told I would recieve documentation from Continental Legal Support on the payment plan by mail and e-mail, I have not recieved anything as of yet.

My brother received a call from a detective Steve Peterson, from The Offices of Legal Support regarding a loan they claim I took out with FAST CASH in the amount of $520 and never repaid the loan.  With the interest and late fees the total was estimated around $2500 but to settle the matter they would accept $1500.  Steve Petersen had a case number trumped up.  My brother said they didn't even sound official.  How they located my brother in NC is a mystery to me.  We hadn't been in touch with each other for years.  To be on the safe side, I alerted the building guards and the HR dept. at my employer of this scam.  I also followed through with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) Registery.  I am also going to report this SCAM to the news stations as well. THIS SCAM will be exposed and it must be stopped.

Received a call from this same number. stating I made a claim.  Persons name is J. Sellids.   Also received a call a few months ago saying I took out a payday loan and if I did not pay it I would be served papers the following day and would need a lawyer to represent me in California.  When I told the woman who could not speak English well to mail me the papers  she got rude with so I in turn slammed the phone in her ear, never heard back or received papers from her.

I just got a call from them, they left a message about restraining orders and court actions against me and I must respond in 24-48 hours.  I called them, they gave me some story about 1500 in credit card bills, I have no credit cards at all.  They asked about anyone serving papers to me, so I hung up - looked up this message board and then really got mad - I called back asked why they were running this scam, told them I was going to report them to every federal organization that would accept a complaint against them with - he told me I had better not do that - then I got even more angry and asked for their specific address, and asked for the real one since I know they give out storage units as their address, told him I would be in Florida next week and want to see them face to face, he told me not to make threats against them, I asked him what threat, I just want to talk. I wanted to personally spend time with the manager - he told me I was "barking up the wrong tree" and I had better leave this alone.  I wish I were going to Florida soon!!!!  These guys a MAJOR SCAM ARTISTS ---- BEWARE

I hear a lot of people complaining and saying they are going to do something but no success stories. Obviously no one is doing anything. If you want to catch them ask them to tell you their address so you can mail a payment, then if you have any pull at all get the police to seize the post office box records or stake out the box and hopefully, eventually you can track these people down.

    In the mean time:
    1) If you say you are going to do something about them, please do it and report on your success/failure. To many people here are saying that they are going to do something but there is no follow up.

    2) If they are in the Caribbean, South America or Africa and are doing private investigation work, they can probably lie to you to try and locate you or your assets and the FTC has no jurisdiction. If they are a real US debt collection agency, which I highly doubt, any lawyer would love to sue them, there is big money in FDCPA violations.

These idiots call my inlaws this morning saying that I had a restraining order against me and that I need it to call back immediately within 24 hrs and that there was already legal action against me as soon as my inlaws call me and told me what they said I knew right away that it was a scam they tried to do the same to me about a year ago but this time it was about a payday loan that I took years ago they said that I never paid it so I got kind of scared because I did take a payday loan many years ago but I paid it off so they started calling me like everyday after that,I agreed to pay and got all of their info and told me to send the money directly to the name of some girl on western union they also gave me an address in San Antonio but when I was going to wire the money to the address they gave me nothing show up with the address or the name they gave me, right there I knew that something was wrong I decided to search the company and a whole page of complaints popped up.All I want to say is beware of this people because they almost got me for about $700 don't fall for them.
