- zunit replies to Ms. Ai just got a phone call too, but they were asking for my maiden name, which I haven't used in 12 years. Where are these lowlifes getting all this information?? It's scary
- JulianI have a suggestion since this is a phishing scam, if anybody has extra time, just keep calling them waste their time so they have less time to scam others. Nothing will happen to you because these people are probably offshore, Africa, India or Carribean. LET THEM HAVE IT ALL DAY ALL NIGHT!

- called me too replies to Get BENT "Special Investigator"!!!These scumbags called me today too. My home phone, my cell phone, and my Sister on her home line!
I have no idea how they got my sisters number as she just moved into a new home and just got a new home phone a few days ago. I don't even have her home number yet. This is completely rediculous and they need to be stoped.
The caller said his name is steve peterson and what he told me was very much the same as everyone else here. " you have a claim filed against you, you have an order to appear in court, please forward this info to your attorney if you do not the order will contain a restraining order..... Blah blah blah. What ever the hell that means.
I was going to let it go but I found out they called my sister even tho she just moved and got a new number so this leads me to beleive that this company is ruthless and relentless.
They clearly practice violating the fair debt collection act. I have already submitted a comlaint to the BBB. Tomorrow I will be pursuing legal action against them, this behavior will not be tolerated. - they called me too replies to DawnThats just such BS im sorry these basterds did this to you.
I too filed 2 complaints, one to the BBB and the FTC. I am also going to persue legal action against them and give them a high dose of thier own medicine.
I will setup a sting and get these basterds prosecuted to the full extent of the law for fraud and extortion, mark my words. - Wesside replies to ill beThats BS man if your serious that is 100% illigel for them to do that. CC companies and especially debt collectors\third parties can not and do have any right to garnish your wages, only the state\fed does. If you are telling the truth call your payroll department ASAP and tell them you need this stop right away.
- Wesside replies to Mad as hell!Thats great i knew they would make this mistake sooner or later!
Do you have any updates regarding the investigation? I got a call from them yesterday regarding the threats and debt\subpeana crap.
I did submit a complaint to the BBB and FTC. It doesn't suprise me they have an F rating from the BBB but they need to be prosecuted and stoped ASAP! - Wesside replies to LynnNo one will ever be "served" by these scamers. Not one person that they say they attempted to served, has been. First off its illigal for them to serve you only law enforcement can do this, Second if someone wanted you in court trust me you would know about the attempt.
Dont let them scare you its all a HUGE scam trying to defraud the naive. - weside replies to PeteContact you fraud and stolen identity dept at your bank they should be able to refund the money that was taken out of your bank account. It might be listed as Pinnicle... somthing or other.
- Wesside replies to JulianI have submitted 2 complaints about them:
First to the BBB, which only has 6 complaints including mine. This is a quite sad, only 6?? C'mon people there are 100s of comlaints on posts like these why are there not more on the BBB?
However they also have an F raiting,
Second I submitted a complaint to the FTC.
I was thinking about contacting the FBI in regards to these guys but before I do that I wanted to get some input from you guys about contacting them. Do you think its a good idea? Is there a standard way to submit a formal complain to the FBI about this type of crime? I say the FBI because I don't think they are on our soil and I am willing to bet they are using a VOIP phone numbers. This is just speculation but It does make a lot of sence. I want to be taken seriously by FBI when contacting them so how can I make sure of this? - WessideI have submitted 2 complaints about them:

- sheilaMy husband just received a call stating there is a restraining order on him.
Caller Steve Peterson
Stated: had 24-48 hours to find an attorney and respond.
What I did: contacted the local Police Dept./Court House. They asked me if I knew who the person was that called me, and at the time i did not remember, so they started reading off name. Just so happened, they read off a couple of names listed by some of the other people on this blog/string. DID NOT return call
Will be actually speaking with a state Senator tonight one on one.
Plan: contact Attorney General start process to press to have this stopped.- Caller: 8506298216
- Mgar replies to ShanitaHello,
Just wanted to let you know that I actually hung up with that exact bs story that was told to you. I also asked who their client was and the woman could only tell me that it was from a mother company of cash advance places called Cash advance, she started naming off small online companies that they supposedly fund. I proceeded to ask her when it was that i supposedly took out this loan, and she said sometime in January of 2011. She said right now why I have our call recording I need to ask you for documenting purposes, have you or anyone close to you received a cash advance in the amount of 1000.00 from a company, then upon receiving the money you or they proceeded to take the money and run? By run I mean by accepting the money and then turning around and closing the account? I laughed and said no! I have never recieved a loan from an outside lender other than my own personal bank. I then asked her to send me the information on paper and her response was well when they serve you the papers that will be the information you are looking for, and all I can do is wish you good luck, and then I heard click! Im upset because now they have resorted to calling my place of employment, and I do not appreciate that at all. What do I have to do or what can we do to stop these morons, they dont realize that someone so naive can go to the extremes to have this monkey off their back, and thats not right. - WessideMy responce from the BBB after submitting a complaint.
Unfortunately, we aren't able to pursue this complaint because, The address listed for the company of 1700 Monroe Street, Tallahassee, Fl is the address for THE USP Store. The Manager of The USP Store has informed the BBB that they have no knowledge of Continental Legal Support and further states they do not have a mail box at that address. Know, though, that the information you provided us has assisted us in the information that we give to the public about this business. If you wish to further pursue this issue, you might contact a legal advisor, the Attorney General's office or your local police department. Thank you for your interest in an ethical marketplace, and if you have any questions about this issue, please do not hesitate to contact us
I guess its not thier job to do anything more to stop them from defrauding people.
Next step I guess is to contact the attorney generals office.- Caller: CLS

- blakeYes these people are a total scam. I applied for an online cash advance months ago. A month later a guy called demanding my attorney's contact information(like I have one). I smelled a scam and told him that I was never lent any money from "whoever". A month later he called my mother and made here very upset. That was March. It's late September and I really should be back at school... no wait, sorry, got sidetracked. It's late September and I received a call saying they were trying to serve a subpoena for a court date in reference to a restraining order. These people are a TOTAL scam. Notice that one of the options on their phone menu is "if you want to settle a matter in lieu of court action, press..". In other words if we've scared you to death and can get money out of you, we're ready to take it. These people need to be shut down! Someone tell Rick Scott!

- Florida Scam| 1 replyI received a call from John Byrd, he stated that he was calling from the litigation departement, because he had a complaint against me, when I asked the name he told me that all he had was a case number, he stated that he was a field investigator and proceeded to give me two case numbers, one with al numbers and the other with letters and numbers. I was kind of joking at the beginning because I believe it was some one I knew trying to scare with with the notion of a debt. He was on the phone for a while when I realized that they were not backing down and in deed it could be a scam. This person provided the 850 number and stated that they were located in Tallahasse, FLA. When my son called the number he stayed on the line for a long time and the phone business line reported to Continental Legal Support, he immediately whent on line and came up with this link. I told him to hang up, we will continue to monitor our calls. Please be ware of collectors from other states with information on you,,,
