- HMDitto to all the information below. A restraining order?! Good Lord.....absolutely the most horrific debt collection message I've ever recieved. Didn't even leave the company they were calling from. I called both numbers given to me and one wasn't even in service.
Not the first bogus call I've gotten, but definitely the most dramatic. Call and complain, no one needs that kind of harassment, especially in this economy!!!!- Caller: Continental Legal Support

- EX-sister in lawMy ex sister in law writes bad checks, steals from the elderly by taking their credit card/debit card info from work, she steals from stores, she gave birth to a second child (after she re-married) and proceeded to use my info as her billing info. She has been arrested and has spent time in jail several times because of who she is yet the authorities continue to let her out fro her to just do it again! Every piece of mail and every collections call we get in regards to her I follow up on. It's amazing how if your innocent they stop bothering you. I feel bad that there are so many people with such straining financial situations but let's not forget how many of these people do it on purpose! If you owe a debt offer to pay the company 5$ a month. Any company who wants to get paid will agree if your at least trying and if your so far in over your head file bankruptcy and all will be alright in the end.

- d1dMy sister in law called me yesterday to tell me that she had received a phone call for my husband from this number and that he was being sued and had a restraining order pending against him. She had the entire message on her voice mail. My Husband didn't even seem the least concerned with it. He was convinced that either they had the wrong person or it was a scam, needless to say I am glad he is smart. Before he would even attempt to call the number he searched it and found this. What makes me so mad about all of this is that when I got the phone call from my sis-in-law I was at the hospital with my daughter who is 28 weeks pregnant and in premature labor. Now, not only did I have to worry about my daughter but I was worried about my husband. I left the hospital to come home and relay the message in person to my husband because I wanted to be with him when he called. I am furious that someone would try to take advantage of people in a time when EVERYONE is struggling. I pray that these ruthless, self-centered idiots get what they got coming to them. Good luck to everyone affected by these morons..

- lilbitnflaI received the exact same call today on my cell phone while I was at work. Scared me to death. I then called my husband at home on my break and told him about it. He said it was probably a scam, and then to googel the phone number when I got home. That is when I came across this site. I even called the number back but all I got was a recording because it was after 12:30 a.m. in the morning I will not be calling them back. The recording did say they were continental legal support. What a scam. I am gonna call the news people tomorrow and let them know about it. THey are always putting information about scams on the air.
- Stillwaterz, NC| 2 repliesI received a call today from 850-629-8216. Same situation. Said I had an outstanding debt from HSBC for a line of credit through Orchard Bank. Needless to say, I have never had an account with Orchard Bank. They also called my son's cell phone on the same matter. I called them, very rude, said I will be receiving a subpoena. Very unprofessional, and yes, very poor English skills. They became arrogant and hung up on me. Oh well. It did upset my son as he thought I had a huge problem that I hadn't discussed with him. Yeah, these people are idiots.

- Kev replies to EX-sister in lawDo you work for them? If you do, GTFO!
- Kev replies to L.o.Never give out personal information over the phone especially if you don't know who or what they are after. Luckily you didn't give them your Bank Account or Credit Card # or you would have to cancel it.
- michelle-KY| 15 repliesMy parents got a call a couple of days ago. Caller spoke very fast and said that he was a detective Steve Peterson. He gave an affidavit number and said that they had 24-48 hrs for them or their attorney to call back. The call back number is 850-629-8216. He also mentioned a law suite and restraining order.
- Anon replies to michelle-KYIt's a collections agency. And for them to state they are a detective or have a court case is against the law. I would report them to FTC if I were you
- Mad From FLYes, I too received this information and called MY Attorney. Who laughed at me and told me to disregard the message it didn't sound right and he would call. A restraining order with a claim number from a guy who could not even speak proper English, named Steve Peterson. Suffice it to say that no one wanted to talk to him. They gave the same message to 3 family members who think I am in trouble. I too thought who have I offended? What did I do? I don't know how these people got my number or family members number. Beware! If it doesn't sound right it probably isn't. Trust your instincts. You can always call the Sheriffs Dept./Court House and find out if there REALLY is a restraining order... unbelievable what people come up with now.

- Spunky01I recceived a voice message from the same number as the others. The caller's name was a Debbie Watkins and she said that she was a special investigator and that I needed to get in touch with them within 24 hours pertaining to an affiidavit and claim number. She indicated that I had been named a defendant in a court action involving fraud and something about a restraining order. She did not give any details of exactly what it was about, nor gave any county information that this was filed in. Not having any debt and having clean credit, I guessed this was a scam -- and my guess was confirmed once I found this site and read postings from others. I filed a report with the FTC.

- Mad as hell!| 1 replyhttps://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en
This is a link to report them to the FTC (federal trade commision). They keep calling me and threaten all this legal action and fraud charges and restraining orders! I work in law enforcement and they cannot serve anyone without court documents and it has to be served by law enforcement in the county/city you reside. I called my local sheriff's office and played the recording for them and now THEY are investigating them too! Oh by the way.....they are looking for my ex-husband whom I divorced 15 years ago and telling me that I am responsible for this debt he incurred 7 years ago.- Caller: Contential Legal Support
