I got a call from a restricted number, didn't answer and then listened to the voicemail that was left. I was at work so when I hear that I've got a restraining order out and all this business about contacting my attorney and then they leave a phone number with a Florida area code. And the woman spoke like it was for real so I got scared. Then I googled the phone number they wanted me to call and I found this site thank god! BUT They did call my parents who fell for it. They too got a voicemail, immediately called me and the police where I live and still don't believe it's a scam. We live 3 timezones apart so its hard to convince them over the phone, they think I'm coming up with a brilliant excuse I guess. Kind of pissed me off though that they would think someone has a restraining order out on me and that they would find out from a phone call like that! I called my cell phone provider (US Cellular) and after explaining my story to 5 different people who thought I was having an identity crisis I finally got a supervisor (in America I believe) who totally helped me file a claim with the FCC and recorded the voicemail and helped me through the entire process. Don't freak out, it's a scam...it kills me though to think about the "special investigator" who called me. I mean, who wakes up for work and goes into some crappy warehouse of a building and sits down at a cubicle to make those phone calls. Does she read a script? I am mostly humored by the event, but my parents ended up getting involved and that's what really pisses me off. I just wonder who else in my family they called....

This is a "BIG HOAX"!  I received a call on my cell and home number today from this number about an outstanding debt I had with "Loan.com".  I apparently opened the account up back in September of 2011.  The lady who called was a "Special Investigator Jones" and she was from "Continental Legal Support Services" and she stated to me that I currently owe $1, 670.oo to "Loan.com" and my attorney and I have 24 to 48 hours to answer to it or I'll be taken to court.  LOL...really?

This company is supposedly located in Tallahasee, FL with the address of 1760 North Monroe.  Some of the names of people I spoke with are.."Julian Peoples, Jason Mills and Tasha Reid".  Obviously, this is a very big hoax and you need to be careful not to give out your personal information like bank or credit card account numbers.  I even asked them for their business license number....of course they wouldn't provide it.

They even had a file number for me to give them to reference my "alledged account".  This information needs to be shared with everyone affected and the proper authorities need to conduct a thorough investigation cause there is a way to track down who is doing this and have them suffer the consequences.

Just tell them you would like to "surrender" to their lawyer ask them for an address... which they cannot do since they are in Pakistan or India. The US gov't has limited resources, it is more important to use resources prudently, go after terrorists first, going after these "economic extortionists" It is not a priority nor should it be...at this time. Personally my opinion is any country that harbors these people should lose their right to email or contact any US IP address. Only that would encourage rogue countries like India, Pakistan and Nigeria to do something about this. We should block them at the US "virtual" border, if you have a Nigerian, Indian or Pakistan I.P. address F.U....foreign governments should clean up their house and prosecute these people and then and only then, get your privileges back to contact anyone in the US. Shut down their electronic economic connections to the US and watch how fast the spam scams stop. These people are using IP phones which can be traced but it requires a  lot of cooperation from Nigeria, India and Pakistan.

OMG, I just got a call from this number today and it scared the crap out of me. The woman was very personal using my first name. Then at the end of the threatening message says Good Luck very sarcastically.  Didn't leave a company name just the phone number 850-629-8216. I'm thinking restraining order? I don't bother anyone. Affadavit for what? Seeing all of your posts put my mind at ease, except for the whole how did they get my private cell number thing!  I am so livid right now and relieved.

Stephanie Thomas just called me saying my lawyer or I had 24-48 hours to resolve the complaint that has been put against me. They said I had an affidavit number or I could show up to court. They called from an unknown number but left this number to call back. I feel this is a huge scam. If they call again and I happen to answer I am just going to have them send me the information on the law suit because if there truly is a case against me they would legally have to do that.

Read the F.B.I. post, you filled out an on-line application for a pay day loan and somebody illegally sold the information or someone used you as a reference and they put 2 and 2 together. That is how they got your personal info, cell # etc

Just got a call from a man stating he's a special investigator and informed me that I had to call back 850-629-8216 because I had a complaint against me and that if I don't contact them I will be sued.  I took down the number and hung up on them.  If they call back I will tell them to stop harassing me.  I'm also going to report this to the DA and FTC.

The restraining order may not be against you per sai,   It may be some one else who has used your name for some loan or something that they have become very delinquent in.  The company is using you as a crutchto locate and recover the debt??????   Not necessarly the case,  But ln mine it is.

I received a call on 12/29/2011 from a person claiming to be an investigator by the name of Lisa Stewart. She proceeded to give me a complaint # of GKLS-1859 and said my wife owed $1400 to a company by the name of G.E. Money.  If we didn't settle the debt, a subpoena would be issued and my wife would have to appear in court. The call came in on a blocked line, so I immediately became suspicious and wouldn't answer any questions.  Instead I started asking questions, and Lisa called me stupid said good luck in court and hung up. Of course this got me wound up and I called the number she left which is 850-629-8216.  I asked for a supervisor and was switched to Tasha Reed who claimed to be a supervisor.  I complained about being called stupid and asked if that was a professional approach.  She said the problem would be handled.  Of course I would not let it go at that and demanded to know what was to be done.  She said Lisa's calls would be monitered and if she did it again she would be fired.  We hung up and I called back and got someone by the name of Sandra Banks.  I asked if she was a supervisor andshe said yes.  I asked if she know Tasha Reed, and she responded yes.  I asked if Tasha is a supervisor to which she replied no!!!!!   I then got on the computer and googled the phone number to which I found out this is a cell phone in Florida.  I immediatedly notified the Pennsylvania State Police.  They told me to contact the police in Florida.  I was then told they could not do anything and suggested I contacted the Attorney General in Penna.  After speaking with the Attorney General they said this was a scam which I suspected all along.  I called the 850-629-8216 number again and played dumb.  I gave them the complaint number they origionally left and said I wanted to settle out of court.  I said I would send them a check, and asked for the address to send it to and who to make the check payable to.  Naturally they refused the check and said I had to pay with a debit or credit card, as the funds must be guaranteed.  I again told them I would send a certified check to which they refused.  I was trying to gain access to an address to which it seemed they did not want to give out. They said the amount owed was $ 1923.79 which I found interesting as the first call stated the amount owed was $ 1400.00.  I will do whatever I can to catch these scum bags.

Every 7-8 months I get this crazy person making demands and threaths about something she doesn't identify. She said she was a Special Investigator and I would be arrested, go to jail, garnish my wages etc. She and her company must be in La La land as the only person who can garnish wages is a Judge VIA Court.
I've heard that they scared some elderly and  disavantage people with their phoney scam. Someone needs to investigate this outfit and take them to Court!

I received a phone call from Continental Legal services as well. My contact person's name was Lisa Stewart. I was given an affidavit number and was told I had to appear in court and I have a restraining order against me.  They have started calling my job harassing me with that same mess. I just got rid of one before the Christmas holiday, after reporting them to the NY Police Dept. I knew something was wrong when they told me I could settle out of court by sending them a money gram.  Be highly aware/alert. This is 2012 (Book of Daniel).

I received a phone call phone call who's number didn't show up on my phone and they claimed that I was being sued and to call 850-629-8216 in regards to the case.  I called it and the person on the phone gave me some story saying that I was being sued in regards to a loan that I never paid back from 2009.  I automatically knew there was a mistake because I wasn't even in the country at that time.  The lady on the phone started to ask about something else and I cut her off saying that I would wait until I was served the court papers and take it from there.  She then told me "good luck in court."  And I hung up the phone.  I spoke with some legal personnel and was told to google the number to see what I found.  I did, and I saw that many people had received similar phone calls and that it was a hoax.
