- mcDonaldnumber called at 5:55pm Sept 25, 2015
- NotWithStupidOnce again, A call from a CID of 855-496-4285. Three times last evening (a Saturday Night). Although a marketing company associated with TD bank use this number, I do not believe this is not spoofed.
- NotWithStupidSomeone using callerID: 855-496-4285 continues to call my phone number, leaving no message. It's almost nightly now that I get cluster calls in the evening. They call, it goes to voice mail, they hang up and call again. 5 times last night. *VERY ANNOYING*
- NotWithStupid replies to exGreenwichEmployeePhone numbers associated with banks, such as the one on the TD Bank website, are very valuable to and commonly spoofed by fraudsters. Besides using a fake callerID to trick you, fraudsters then post to websites like this one -with links to the legitimate bank- claiming everyone is wrong and it's legit. These fraudsters will also sometimes claim they are an employee or former employee trying to trick you into believing what they post. DO NOT FALL FOR IT.
Legit current and former bank employees know all to well that fraudsters can and do spoof bank's callerIDs all the time and will tell you to always be vigilant by not giving your financial information to any cold caller - even one that has a callerID matching your bank. They will never call you names for being careful and rightfully suspicious of these calls.
Never answer these calls, and if you do - hang up without giving out your information. Then, obtain the main phone number of your bank from your statements and call that number yourself if you have any questions - do not call back the number on the callerID or phone message. - sNo more call me.
- NEVER WOULD I EVER replies to AnnaI have never used TD Bank...nor would I ever so how the heck did they get my number?
- Nancy replies to Anna| 1 replyTD Banks should know better than to call people for a survey. Why should we trust that this is not a scam. Everyone has to be wary these days.
- JoeI finally DID answer the call from this number. Caller ID'd herself as Sharnee (sp?) from Office Critical....wanted to speak with the person in charge of office supplies. If you Google the number, it comes up as Greenwich Associates, a research group based in Hartford, Conn. Research groups do NOT fall under the DO NOT CALL LEGISLATION and if the call is placed from outside Canada, even the DNC legislation is no damn good.
- JohnsonI got a call from this at 8:35pm 10/9/2015 don't pickup and they didn't say anything or leave a message.
Thank you
Johnson - Fred replies to RmYeah it's just TD bank you guys. I got the call after getting special services in person... It's just their feedback line.
- jdeThis is the first time I got this call. Did not answer b/c it came in as Unavailable. If it is from TD, whether a survey company or not, it would really make no sense, as I only go through the drive-thru and have had no occasion to go into the actual building. If it was for MBNA, which I have, I haven't had any occasion to call regarding my account. Therefore, no reason to call me; no reason for me to answer.
- TSJust called me. I didn't answer as I have no business with them.
- Barbara replies to NancyI agree with you 100%! We all need to be carefull and as a financial institution they should know better, and also we don't want to be bothered at home to do a survey.
- jerry replies to Anna| 1 replysome one should teach them phone manners! To Call and ask for a person without stating your name or what company your from first is just down right rude. And then when I ask"who's calling" and there is silence with no reply is just plain unprofessional! My opinion, if it is a bank survey"they are great". But the company they hired to do the survey are idiots. Now I know its a very general statement and there are always bad apples within every company and not everyone in this company is bad. But look at the list, 99% of the posts are complaints not compliments. That means somethings not right, and its not the customer!
- Nick replies to LisaI got the same call claiming that they were from ORNL Credit Union and they had my name. She asked if I had any transactions in the last 2 days and I said "no". She hung up. Scary stuff. I'll call my bank tomorrow and complain.
- Sofia replies to Y ChanI use to work there.. Just a research company in Canada called Greenwich associates. They have a lot of clients, TD bank just happens to be one of them. It's really only a 3 to 7 minute survey depending on how you answer, they don't ask for any personal or confidential information, and they only have your name on screen sometimes not even that.
- Sof replies to Marietta, GAIt's only a survey, they don't ask for any personal or confidential information :)
- Sof replies to Marietta, GAAlso you can just ask to be removed from the calling list to avoid any more calls from them
- PaulNo message was left. Caller ID read, "UNAVAILABLE". So I'm taking their advice. I am "unavailable". I don't answer calls from numbers that I do not recognize. I wish that they'd just GO AWAY!!!
- AmyWow... so many posts on this... I don't answer anything with a 855 area code and they just hang up when my voicemail starts. Compared to other calls I get, this is a Win-Win situation!
