- Weezie| 1 replyI just discovered a charge for $ 13.80 on one of my credit cards. I just called the phone # 866-212-1343. As everyone else has stated, I couldn't understand hardly one word that the man on the other end of the line was saying. I did find out that Real BB Essentials is the name that McAfee Anit-Virus software is billed under. I had went on-line to purchase/download some virus protection software for my home computer. McAfee was the one that I chose. However, the man said I would be billed $13.80 per month for the software. That is $165.60 for a year of anti-virus protection. How ridiculous can that be!! I told him to cancel everthing since I could go to Best Buy and buy anti-virus protection for a heck of a lot less money than that a year. This is a fleecing of America!!! Sure glad I check over my statements thouroughly each month!
- RobI too have this problem. They say it's for rhapsody. I called to cancel and also cancelled online. We will see if it is really the case. The operator was real dodgy.
- Bernice| 2 repliesI spoke with a Ron who said he is a supervisor. He stated he would cancel "my" account..I did not order anything online. He said he could not reverse any of the charges and I would have to submit a letter of dispute to my card company.I called the card company and their rep had to cancel my card after hearing this.
- Ron is a crook replies to Bernice| 1 replyYou should also contact your state's attorney general. They stole your money plain and simple and they are criminals.
- Bernice replies to Ron is a crookYou offer a good idea to contact the attorney
"Ron" said I order Realplayer and both of the charges stemmed from that. I told him when I got my computer the previous owner already had installed realplayer. I also have to figure out how to contact aider.onlinebestdvd.com and info.cheapmoviezzz.com RIGA regarding other charges. No phone numbers, no whois.net info. Apparently several companies enjoyed their holiday season---on my dime... - John replies to AprilI found same charge and have never signed up for this my charge was $12.99. I made complaint to BBB.org
- ShoonaqsI looked at my account this morning and notice a charge of $29.99?? I called the 866-212-1343 and after waiting for 10 minutes spoke to a gentleman who could use a course in English. Very frustrating!! He then wanted me to give him my credit card info over the phone....goodness....I said heck no--not exactly in those words. He then stated if you call your bank and ask for the merchant order number they would be able to match that number in their system. Goodluck!!
- JESSICA SCOTTFor the last 10 months I have been charged 14.06 a month to my credit card. I want this stopped and I want to be reimbursed for the fraudulent charges.
Thanks,
Jessica Scott- Caller: REAL BB ESSENTIALS
- TracyI can't believe how ridiculous these people are! Other posters are correct...this is total FRAUD. I cancelled this account and then got a charge on my statement. The gentleman was so KIND but it was so scripted...we are sooo sorry you were charged in error, let me check with my supervisor to see if they will make an exception to reverse the charge. OMG!!! Now I really wonder if the charge will really go away. UGH!!!

- omerI think somebody should do something about this company. We are lucky we saw it, but how about all others?
- Tickedoff replies to Hasse| 3 repliesI was just charged 14.99 too! I have no idea what this is! Can someone give me an idea how they got my card #?
- Jerome replies to RealNetworks Inc, Real OneI called them as well and was telling Discover to remove the charge when the lady asked me if I'd ordered something from Rhapsody. I then remembered the Rhapsody subscription I got. If I hadn't gotten an idiot from "all access" to start with, I could've saved myself some time.
- memee0000 replies to Weeziei was charged 57 dollars for service i dint have.my credit card company siad that there was no phone number on file!!!! the internet has a lot of fraud!!!!!! i looked up the web site and called the number on the web site, the man said there was no account with my email associated.im like, then how the hell was i charged!!!!!! beware of credit card and inter net scams!!!!
- Angst JamesReal Networks, Inc. is affiliated with Rhapsody, so if you were a subscriber of Rhapsody, this why you are being charged. There has been a name change in the provider of Rhapsody.
