I did not receive a call as far as I know.  I had not questioned this charge until now, because I assumed it was a security service that I had requested for my computer.  However, I realize now that it wasn't.  I have been charged #12.99 each month since 5/24/09.  The description I pulled from my credit card transaction report is CONTINUITY/SUBSCRIPTION MERCHANTS.  I feel like a real idiot thinking this was a legitimate charge.  I guess I will try to contact them and then contact my credit card company. Sure am glad I checked this site.  Thanks to all of you.

I've been charged for $12.99 and I don't know why. What can I do?

i got the phone number from my credit card statement and it seems to be some company who is drafting my card

getting numberous calls from 866-949-2438, 866-212-1343, 866-929-5307 and 866-929-5306 - now I have an unknow debit of 12.99 on my bank card

This is very interesting and thanks for all the messages we read, we were able to talk to our credit card bank and the RN Essentials folks who claims they will refund us the 3 months worth of charges.

I just spoke with the company and had to cancel my account to stop the charges.  I am now going to try and recoup my loses from my credit card now.  I will keep my fingers crossed.

Called the number on my credit card billing. I reached a person I could understand and asked to cancel whatever service I was to be receiving. He said it was for McAfee PC security. Guess i'll find out next month.

I was charged 12.99 from real bb essentials.  I have no idea what this is!

I signed up for Big Brother live feeds (don't ask why :/) and I have been getting a recurring $14.99 charge. I called and spoke with Adam who I could barely understand. He cancelled and when I said I was reporting it as fraudulent to my bank he offered to refund the money. Here's contact information from the CBS site. THese guys have a great scam going!

Called this company and the lady I spoke wit was very rude and told me she couldn't help me.  Asked to speak w/supervisor and that took 5 minutes (probably not a supervisor but a co-worker.  After a few rounds of him telling me he couldn't find my account he they then asked for my credit card number.  I basically told them that they were craqzy as they are already charging me why would I give them info  on my acct.  After several attempts and words they managed to find my acvcount and said what would I like done.  I asked that they cancel the account and he said it was done.  I then asked for a reference number.  Now to go to bank and get this straightened out.  Good luck to anyone who is trying to get info from this company...

Have you found an address to send a cancellation letter? I need to do that to stop them debiting my account unauthorized. Are they still debiting your account? Or have you been able to stop them. If so,how? Hope you can help.

If you have ever buy anything from the SmartSubs, you are enrolling the subscription of REAL BB ESSENTIAL, and they give you thirty days free trial, after that you will be charged by $12.99. Just call them to cancell your account. I think I will not buy anything from the Smartsubs

Do you have Mcafee virus software? This is what they tried to say I have when I called. I do not use Mcafee so they "cancelled" my account, which I never even asked for!

I had the same charge on my card and I have no clue why. When I contacted my credit card company I was given the phone number (204)674-2650 which is for Real.com. hopefully this number comes in handy for someone else.

I have numerous charges that appeared after Big Brother ended, this charge being for the live feeds. I call each month and get a guy in India, who puts me on hold for 45 minutes, till I give up and hang up. Every month a new charge. I am filing a complaint with the State Attorney General's office. I also contacted CBS to let them know who they are doing business with, and that this practice is fraudulent. I also filed with my credit card company. I will continue to look for ways to fix this, and make others aware of the crooked practices of Real Player. This is just going on way too much. It's an outrage.I think it may be time we band together and look to a class action lawsuit to stop this nonsense.
I can say one thing for sure, I will NEVER again do business with Real Player, and will also NEVER again watch CBS's Big Brother, this has left a real sour impression on me. It was fun, till now.

Oh..the subscription was suppose to be half off...they charged me 29.99 for months..I contacted CBS...we will see how honorable a company CBS is is if they continue to associate themselves with Real Player Networks...

I just discovered this same charge on my account.  I didn't even know what it was nor remember signing up for anything like this.  I called and could barely understand the man with the Indian accent.  He finally said they would remove the charge and cancel the account.  He wanted my card # but I refused to give him that, but I gave him my email and he found the account.  Said they would send an email confirming this but have not received it yet (20 minutes ago).  We will see.  If will report it as fraud if not taken from my account and never charged again.
