I have started receiving 2 billings a month from Real BB Essentials and I have never subscribe for any of their services.  They come through on Discover Card statements($12.99 in the midle of the month and again on or about the 25th of the month).  Discover Card personnel ios checking them out.

You are talking about a completely different situation.  They are not Real Arcade Games but RN Real BB Essentials and the charge is $12.99.  This is a fraud and they have obtained chedit card numbers fraudulently.  I started getting 2 billings a month from them on my last Discover Card statement.

THIS IS RELATED TO THE FREE MCAFEE DOWNLOADS. If you used a free Mcafee than you got billed. It doesnt matter when you cancelled the account, or if you ever downloaded it. You will get billed. Simply call the number, put on your best Middle Eastern accent,  and demand a credit. Also, get a confirmation number in case you dont see a credit on the next months statement.

I called the BBB in Washington State to register a complaint.  They sent a letter to Real Networks Inc (RN BB ESSENTIALS) and got an immediate response from them but it was to say they couldn't locate this account.  I called the # BBB gave me and they won't answer, saying "they are having difficulty, please call back later.  My wife called the 866 212 1343 # and they said they would cancel and refund 2 0f the 9 charges which they did.  Discover card said they could only go back 180 days to investigate.  This would takes care of 7 of the 9 charges.  Still working with BBB to resolve the issue and to look into the other cases (probably including yours).  Don't know if they will go that far, however.

So, I just received my bank statement and saw this charge that i don't remember paying for.  It had this exact number all of you are complaining about. I called the number on it and canceled the account thing today but the guy said that it will remain active until March 31st at free of charge.  I'm only 18.  I don't use or have ever used this RealPlayer contraption they say I signed up for. Does anyone know if there is any way to get my money back (like from the bank or something)?

I had the same thing occur on by banking statement. Just called the number that was on the statement and spoke with a man that I hardly could understand to cancell the account that I didn't evern sign up for in the first place.  He stated that there would be no further charges. Guess time will tell. Although, I did warn him that if it didn't stop he would have a serious problem.

If you have any other ideas please let me know!

I just received a charge on my credit union account for $14.99 and another for $9 something from 866-212-1343.  No only did I NOT request to watch anything anywhere or want to see anything on my phone, but this account is my bill pay account and I did not authorize this charge.

Same thing happened to me.  Two charges on my credit card.  Didn't even know I had an account. I called and he of course found "my account" and said I was being charged for anti-virus software I dont even have!  RN *REAL BB ESSENTIALS 866-212-1343 WA  Makes me very angry!  Anyway he said it would automatically cancel on April 1 but didn't offer to refund my money.

So I use my debit card a lot and while I noticed charged from BB Essentials I never called them because I was always too busy -- until today when I found I had time and I knew for a fact I had not charged anything for $12.99 recently.  So I called the number and got a woman in or from India, I could hardly understand her, she did not have my name on record, she actually had the nerve to ASK ME FOR MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER, I ripped her a new one and then called the bank.  They told me that I will get my money back but I have to close the debit card they use.  That is the only way to stop them once they have your card number, apparently.

you know, i am more than pissed to be going over my checking account records. I have been in an automible accident and i have not been where i could take care of this mess than i just found on my statements. I have 5 statements where Real BB Essentials have billed my acount for 12.99 each. A total of $64.95. I have no idea what this is nor did I authorize this crap to be taken out of my account. I hope that whoever is doing this gets stopped. I am going to call Real BB essentials and go to my bank tomorrow and see if i can get this stopped and maybe get a refund for what they have taken out of my account. Let me know what happens. I hope you are luckier than me. If you have any advice please let me know.                            Unlucky

Until now, I thought I was the only one who had the 12.99 coming out of my account for no reason. I don't have this service at all on my laptop, but yet I'm getting charged. I had no idea it would be this difficult to end this nonsense. Anyone have advice? Let me know because I cannot afford this withdrawal every month. Thanks!

On 4/16 there was a charge of $12.99 from Real BB Essentials.  I found the charge today - 4/23.  I followed credit card procedures and called the number listed.  I asked what product or service they sell -- online music.  I have no online music and I don't recall signing up for any.  I told te girl I had no acct.  She said if I gave her some info she could pull up the acct.  I may be old but I'm not stupid!  She said if I could get a Merchant Order # she could help.  After reading all the posts I'm not calling back, I'm going to hope my credt card co. approves my dispute.  I'm also going to contact WA BBB and a federal agency as soon as I find out which one it should be.

    We gotta stick together!

A charge of $12.99 each month since Jan. 2009 appeared on my credit card.  The credit card company researched it and said they could not refund the charges because it was a merchant, that I would have to contact the merchant and cancel it.  They gave me a number of 866-212-1343.  I called it and found that it was a software company.  A gentleman with a middle-east accent was polite and said that he would cancel my account.  I will monitor my credit card closely.  This may help you also.
