I am being harassed with this caller daily to both my cell and home phone. I answered one time but the subject hung up. I do not owe any outstanding bills, never been delinquent since I moved here a year ago. My numbers are new. LWSS than a year old for my cell and home phone only one year. I have no idea why they call my phone numbers so often whether late at night, Sundays, holidays and before I get out of bed during mornings. I do have caller ID and they leave no messages on my home phone. I did not activate my cell yet. Thanks to God I did not. The home phone ID tells all. I did not consent or authorize no business affiliates to use my numbers in promotions and I have registered my phones with the FTC but the calls keep on coming!........................................HR

They called my cell phone which is never given out to ANYONE and when I went to answer they hung up.  I called back and did get someone but they didn't have a clue, you could hear typing in the background so I kept saying hello (about 8 times).   Finally someone said something.  I don't know if it's a scam or not.  I do know that my cell phone number is on the do not call list and I would be more than happy to put a stop people like this.  I don't appreciate people being able to get my cell phone number especially when we got to great lengths to keep it hidden.

Just got a call from RPM, phone ringed 2 times then stopped.  I never answer calls I don't recognize and they did not leave a message.  The best way to not be annoyed by repeated calls is to turn off the ringer and screen your calls. Legitmate calls will leave a message. As for your cell phone you can block calls and don't answer any calls you don't recognize.  Once you answer they know they have a person they can harrass.  If you don't answer they will eventually tire and move on.  I think they are scammers and they are trying to collect on old debts that are past the statue of limitations. They are not enforcible in court.

there is a number for the do not call Cell Phone...you would need to have you cell number listed there so they do not call.  if they do you can report them.  I don;t have the number off hand but if you google ""do not call cell phone"" it will pop up

I paid a bill from a book I ordered, but the publishing company turned the bill over to a Collection Agency. I am receiving calls on my home number, which is an unlisted number.  The calls need to stop, because I have paid the bill in full.

I get calls constantly.  When I answer, the caller hangs up.  Today, a recording came on with a woman's voice saying " you have a call".  A man said hello.  I said hello and he hung up.  VERY FRUSTRATING!! Name on call is RPM

R.P.M. Associates, does all the collections for Verizon Wireless as well as other phone companies.  They are a valid debt collector for these companies and don't buy old debts but can be a real pain sometimes.  If you do have a phone debt tho they will knock a hundred off your bill if you just stick to your guns.

I answer this number with a middle east accent. They tell me that they are looking for (and they give my legal name) I reply.."What am I can do for you (my name) James" No. I am looking for James ___- I then I say "are you the man at the local 7-11 (with my Arab accent)?"  Then they appoligise for calling me.  I never hear from them again. I used this approach on every single debt collector since this current depression. It works every time. It is registered on the national debt collection system as a wrong number.
Joke them if they can't take a [***]!

On February 25, 2013, BBB recognized a pattern of complaints from consumers regarding sales practice and customer service issues.

Consumers allege Receivables Performance Management LLC promises upon settlement, the debt information will be removed from the consumer's credit report; however, the company does not remove the debt information.

According to information provided to BBB by the company, they use an automated system to update credit information when an account is marked disputed, settled or paid; as a back-up, a manual process can be implemented to update or delete information from a consumer's credit history.

Consumers further allege company representatives exhibit inappropriate behavior, use scare tactics, call multiple times throughout the day or disconnect the call when the consumer answers the phone.

According to information provided to BBB by the company, they discipline employees who are not compliant or respectful when speaking with consumers. The company also states its auto-dialer may attempt to call a consumer up to three times a day, and it may take a few seconds to connect a consumer with an employee; the company states it is working to improve its auto-dialer and reduce disconnects.

It is ridiculously unfortunate that a tiny group of person call themselves RPM continue to disturb the peace of good people of United States of America.
This same people called my home line and I could not hear what the caller is talking about. How I wish that the law enforcement agent here in Washington State should work together to bring this illegal operators into book.
Their practice and attitude are very criminal and highly  disturbing.
