Not only did they go too far, they also broke the law. It is illegal for debt collectors to threaten a course of action that they have no intention of taking -- such as suing you -- or have no power to take -- such as arresting you.  No debt collector has the authority to have anyone arrested for anything, and, as I just said, it's against the law for them to threaten such a thing.  (The phony arrest threat is common tactic of outlaw debt collectors.)

There are several routes you can take in addressing the matter; I suggest you take them all:

1) Tip off the FBI to their conduct at http://tips.fbi.gov  These collector thugs are using a phone to conduct this scam, so that's one federal issue. They threatened to arrest you, and that's a violation of the federal debt collection laws. And I wouldn't be surprised if there are possible wire fraud issues to explore. Filling out the FBI tips form just takes a few minutes.

2) File a complaint with your state's attorney general, the contact information for whom can be found at www.naag.org 

3) Since these clowns are based in New York, file a complaint with the New York Attorney General at http://www.oag.state.ny.us/complaints/complaints.html

4) File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01

These people are evil. They called my mother and told her they were sending someone to arrest me at work if she didn't settle the debt. Told her I had criminal charges of fraud filed against me and had missed two court dates which was false. My mom was scared and crying when she called me. They called a classmate of mine I hadn't seen in 15 yrs. They critized my mother for how "she had raised her kid" When I contacted them to get to the bottom this they had NO paperwork to fax me, and they hung up on me 3 X. Someone claiming to be a supervisor, took my complaints and said they had had many complaints about Mr.CHAD OLSEN. However; He called me 3 min. after "they" hung up on me and badgered me at work!! These people MUST be stopped. I am notifying my Attorney the BBB, and anyone else I can think of. We must stand up to these criminalsQ

I love these guys.  I talked to another goon there today to verify that my Dispute Letter was recieved.  He told me that they recieved my Cease and Desist Letter.  Hmmm.  Then he went on to tell me that they are NOT 3rd party collection and are not bound by the FDCPA.  Hmmm....and he said that they are filing a lawsuit with the county clerk's office for the balance in full.  Hmmm....all this after sending a Dispute Letter.  

I have not decided if these guys are morons, or just sleeze balls.  

The kicker is I told him that I know that they are Marshall and Ziolkowski.  He said they were not related in anyway.  I wanted to ask him why he answered their phone 800-690-6293.  But I think I will save that for another day.

if you almost had to ck into a mental hospital because of a debt that you owe then I dont think the problem is this kevin Kauffman you should seek some serious help....second of all just pay your bills and theese things wont happen.... I have been an attorney for the last 15 years and the best advice I can give anyone is stop complaining and take care of the debt that you owe its as simple as that!!! take responsibility for your actions and just take care of your debts....it dosent matter who is collecting them JUST PAY THEM and you wouldnt have to complain about other people all the time........again just offering my advice.......

called, threatening to take cars, drivers license, freeze bank accounts that i;m not even on freeze my wifes credit when we are not joint on anything. rude obnoxious so un professional that i finally have to get an attourney to stop calls. when you confront them, they become extreamly rude and try to play like your are attacking them. ive talked to susan, carl and 2 others and they are the most cantankerious and phony people ive ever had to deal with. so many complaints with BBB and fines from different states for wrong business practices they were forced to change name to avoid fines

Mr Prano of Kingman, Cole and Associates, left my #SSN on a shared voicemail.  They come off as a type of law firm.  No law firm makes collection calls, duh!

Kingman, Cole and Associates, formerly Marshall and Ziolowski Enterprise, LLC, has fines and judgements that top 150,000.  They have violated consumer rights,state, and federal law.

Are you sure you're an attorney and not Kevin Kauffman replying to the posts. Apparently you've never been between a rock and a hard place when situations arise that you have no control over.  What goes around comes around, maybe one day you'll get to walk alittle in their shoes, I can only hope.

Its a PreRecorded call from Keenan and Asso. They call EVERYDAY. Wonder how to get them to stop...

they called my fiance threatening him. They said they wouldn't take payments. Not knowing this was a scam or whatever they got my bank acct number from us and tried to take out $3000!!! I am so jacked. I got ahold of a lawyer and contacted the BBB on their ass. I talk to a lawyer tomorrow.
When I called them to see what the heck was going on they started bitching at me!! saying that if the money wasn't in the account I am going to get charged with bouncing checks over state lines and what not. And that my fiance is getting charged for not paying his debt. My fiance did his own credit check on himself!! this company nor this amount didnt show up!!

These crazy jerks called my daughter telling her that her husband had opened a credit card with citibank in 2001 and owed them $9,900.00(like they've ever had credit limits that high on any credit card), then told her he filed bankruptcy in 2004 and it was almost over and needed to be paid off!  These people are crazy!  I am contacting the attorney general's office here in Georgia and the BBB.

The caller told me to write down the following information: Kingman, Cole and Associates. Said I owed money, was being sued and I needed to call.  I asked for the name and when the guy gave it to me I laughed and hung up!

Called to talk to me about a civil and criminal fraud lawsuit that I was inplicated in. i asked what this was about and was told it was about a credit card. I told Susan Porter not to ever call me again that this was harrassment and she totally flipped out yelling excuse me but you dont know what you have done and threatened me with court proceedings and that I would be served by the end of the day and then she wished me goodluck and hung up on me.
These are actions of a phony person/company who just got nailed to rights and called on their [***].

Received a call from Getzville NY- 716 689 4235 1 866 345 4590

Stating that I was going to be served with a summons for court for charges of fraud and that I have a judgment against me from HSB and it’s currently $3872.11 and that if I go to court it would be over $10 000 and that I would need an atty. She suggested that I settle out of court. She said that going to court, they would freeze all of my accounts, take my car and any other assets that I may have.

I was told that it would be in my best interest to settle out of court and she had a case number and all. She told me that I had to pay by the 30th of this month and that they needed to have a post dated check now. Would not let me call her back nor would she let me do any research first. I told her that I have never had a cc with HS and have disputed this before and had it removed from my credit report. Dummy me, I gave her my bank information and then called my CU to increase my personal loan so that I can pay it. My Cu was the one that questioned this and did some research and boy what we found was incredible. I immediately called my bank and then went and closed the account.

After all of this, she gave me her number and told me to call her if I had any concerns or questions. When I called back they answered Kingman and Cole and then 15 min later I called again and they said Kingman assoc. I asked them what they were and they said both, that he just shortened it and then later after going to the bank, I called to tell them that they were not getting money and to stop calling me, they answered it can I help you…rather rudely I must say. I questioned her then and she also gave me a website that does not exist and also gave me an address of 1416 Sweet Home Road Suite 1-4 Amhurst NY 14228.

I had to change my number and then called back to give them a piece of my mind and had to hang up, what did they do, called me right back and hung up on me…how childish is that. I called back to try and pry more out of them. They again said it was a mastercard through HSB and that they were hired by them. I asked them for the phone number to HSB and was told they do not have it…I asked them why they would not have the number of the person who hires them. They had no answer.

I then called HSB and spoke with Ruth who verified that I did not have an account with them and that it was a scam.

The person posting this must be from Kingman and Cole...my experience with them was horrid and they were attempting to get me to pay for something that I never owed and it was  proven as such. They lie and they are tricky and act nice until you question them. I was taken and actually fell for it since I was a recent victim of a crime and was out of sorts to begin with. I have been in bed for two weeks after a brutal gang rape and was so upset to get the call...I gave this Susan Porter my account information and when I called my CU to get my personal loan increased, they questioned it and did some research for me "as a bank" and told me to cancel my account asap and call them back...they were my lifesaver...I don't know what I would have done. I would have given them my all and I didn't even owe it. I pulled my credit report and there was nothing on it. I even called the so called bank they said I owed and they verified that I have never nor do I have an account owing with them.

I feel so sorry for those that pay them. They NEED to be stopped. I think you this poster, is from there...you guys think you are slick but there is a special place in HELL for you all. They even told me that they all drive mercedes and don't need my money..who said that it was going to them the employees anyway! Trifling Muth* Fu***
