And curious.  Do you often give testimonials for collection agencies that have dunned you?  It seems an odd thing to do.

Yes, I will always give credit where credit is due whether it be a collection agency, movie review, good meal or anything else that I feel deserves it. Why not? There's enough negative in this world. That was just proven by you. I happen to have a positive experience. Nothing to be ashamed of.

LOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! As if anyone believes you are some disinterested party who is unaffiliated with the  KingmanColeMarshallZiokowskiBradyCaruso grift. If giving credit where credit is due is so important, how 'bout starting with the parties who have gotten judgments against this operation? Nothing funnier than debt collectors refusing to pay their debts!!!!!!!

Correction: "You and I" do not have to pick up the tab. The debt is written off, meaning that nobody pays for it. I am so tired of hearing: "debtors are what is wrong with the economy!" and other stupid whining. What a joke. The original price of things is inflated anyway. Whoever provides the original service has already been paid three times the actual value of whatever was bought. Then someboby like you comes along a decade later after statute of limitations has run out and tries to collect $3000 on a $250 balance, charging riduculous "collection fees" and other crap. $300 for somebody to mail me a letter? $1000 to make a phone call? Gimme a break. Lawyers don't even make that much. Collectors are what is wrong with the economy. Sitting around in cheap suits making phone calls to anyone who will listen, trying to make a daily occupation out of being the school bully. That is why you are "being bashed", because out here in the adult world, being "king of the jungle gym" really doesn't mean squat.

I called them back as soon as I got the threatening letter.  I asked the lady that answered for her name and she refused until I told her I would not give her any other information until she gave me a name.  She did this reluctantly.  I asked her if she was a bank she answered "No" and then said that I needed to talk with a Mr. Webster and from the moment I started asking questions he started making threats.  In my state, NC, collection agencies cannot collect a debt after three years unless they are the bank or from the business where the debt occurred.  I informed him of this but he was too busy making threats to listen.  I hung up on him and 5 minutes later he called back.  Fortunately for me, I did not reach it in time and my answering machine picked up.  I got him on tape making threats to me and promising harassment ever morning, afternoon, and evening.  I hope I ruined his week with the repeated statement that if he did not stop calling me or contacting me, by the statutes of NC I could sue him.  He really hit the roof then.

Mr. Jackson called stating that I needed to return his call and make it a priority because there is a pending civil suit in  my county ready to be filed against me unless I cooperate and settle this matter.  Not the first call I've received from this Kingman Cole and Associates making empty threats. Advised me to call him at 866-345-4590 ext 105.

Called stating that a court docket date was set and we should reply prior to that date to settle the matter out of court.  They also said that if we did not comply a warranty would be issued.  We did not contact them and as of this date nothing legal has happened.

It's a scam. See my message earlier in this thread from July 29 for more information on this operation and how you can alert federal and state law enforcement agencies.

Also, check out these news reports about this particular scam:  http://www.swtimes.com/articles/2008/07/11/news/news01.txt

I received a phone call from mr. webster? from kingman and cole last night. It was for my mom. I called them back today and they didn't even know my name. They were happy to discuss her situation with me. I'm pretty sure that is a violation of the law. Since I am almost 30 and live a state away from her. They have been harassing her at work and threatening her with jail and all the bull. I'm not sure which idiot I even talked to but he was extremely rude. He called me an idiot and a moron. All this with only a phone number!!! I told him he had to give something to my mom to prove this was a legal debt....he then started screaming at me and becoming very immature. I have never been talked to in such a manor and its not even my account!!! I believe this company is a scam and my mom has filed a complaint with the att gen in her state and I have also filed a complaint with the BBB. Any other suggestions to get these guys stopped? So unprofessional!

I got a call from Mr. Webster saying I defaulted on a settlement with Marshall and Ziolkowski.  I also received a letter from Kyle Schwartz saying they were going to sue me for $1250 because of the supposed default. I paid them once and now they are coming back for more.  Greedy bloodsuckers.  I called the FL FTC and they have a license to practice in Florida. Also their address is a UPS box in the small town of Brockport outside of Rochester, NY.  Mr. Webster also said the Sheriff's office would be at my door by end of business.  He also said I was a liar and a deadbeat.  I'm sure some laws were broken.  The woman at FTC said they can't threathen you with the Sheriff.  I called a deputy I know who is high up in the sheriff's office and he backed up what the FTC said.  I'm not giving them another cent and I'm considering suing them.  I'm filing a complaint with the NY state attorney.

""You and I" do not have to pick up the tab. The debt is written off, meaning that nobody pays for it."  WRONG! The Government does, where do they get their money from? The senators and congresional employees are not selling toothpicks or hosting debt collection bashing websites. Then it looks like our taxes are paying for this. It all stems from bad debt, just like these accounts that your not paying. Take a look at your quote, looks like we are all paying for it. The housing market crash is directly tied to consumers NOT PAYING their bills. Now the banks are tightening lending and not financing consumers as much therefore pulling the strings tight for all of us. Thank you DEBTORS, we all love you guys.

these people called me trying to collect money from, stating I owe something from a bank way back in 2003. the first person I spoke with was Mr. Thompson and was VERY, VERY RUDE, he suggest I talk to Mr. Webster the next day. I called the next day and spoke to a Mr Webster and I almost fell
into their trap. The next day that Mr Webster called again, but the voice is completely different from the person I spoke with the previous day. They also use the phone# with area code "716".  These people should be put in jail. I called the FBI and referred me to the FCC (which you won't be able to talk to a live person). I called the State District Attorney and said to
file a complaint with our local sheriff's office.  I already filed a complaint with BBB and local sheriff office.
