- Cheryl replies to ChristyI have spent all day researching the Check Bill WAUS charge for $1.05 that has appeared on my Visa account 3 times now and keep hitting a dead end. Please advise if you find anything, I know it is only $1.05 but three time this week is starting to add up. I will let you know if I come up with anything.
- Cathy replies to LoriI too ordered the WuYi tea. This was the 2nd time I had tried it. I thought perhaps I didn't follow the regiment correctly and would give it a second try. The first time around, I received my sample and another order and then cancelled. This time I never received the sample but was billed for both the sample and the next order. When I called, WuYi said they would happily cancel and refund my money. This did happen. Then I received a deduction for the "living lean" program. I called my bank but they couldn't do anything except suggest that I cancel my debit card and apply for another one. Didn't want all that trouble so I tried calling the living lean number. I was fortunate enough to get through to a rep who told me that the enrollment was part of the order from WuYi tea ("advice on dieting") which I don't remember and why would I pay $19.95 for "dieting tips" as they called it. In any case, it sounded at first that I was stuck with at least the first charge, but when I told them that I never received my tea order and had cancelled that, they stated that a refund for $19.95 would be in 7-10 days and that my account would be cancelled. They gave me a confirmation number, so I'll be checking my account for the refund otherwise will call again. The number I used was 866-396-5711
- topline| 1 replyI had ordering the Wu Yi tea in mid Dec/07 and cancelled a month later. Didn't pay close enough attention to my CC statements (till now - bad, I know!) and found that Living Lean was billing me $19.95 a month for the last 4 statements as well. Called the 866-396-5711 number and spoke first to a male rep who cancelled my subscription then put me on hold and we subsequently "lost our connection"! I then called back and spoke with a female. After threats of legal action she put me on to a supervisor(?)(long-g-g wait) who gave his name as Tim Osgood. I determined from him that he was located in "central Utah" (wouldn't give me the city) and that they were a "service company" for the parent company of Living Lean - Raven Media Corp. 2620 S. Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, Nevada 89109. I explained again to him that I wanted a refund, threatened legal action and that I did not see anything in the Terms & Conditions of the Wu Yi tea contract that I agreed to pay a $19.95 monthly fee for access to a Living Lean website. He then advised I would be receiving a full refund for the 4 months I was billed. He also confirmed again my "subscription" would also be cancelled and he gave me a Confirmation Number for each transaction. I then requested a confirmation email that he had in fact done what he stated. Moments later I received an email from:
"Raven Media Customer Support" <refunds@productcustomerservice.com>

Will be interesting to see if my credit will indeed be forthcoming! Am going to make some more noise with regard to these guys, but lesson learned - pay closer attention to your credit card purchases! - sadee8| 2 repliesI just called the 866-396-5711 number and raised holey hell. I talked to a supervisor named Wendy who insisted I had this web site charge listed in the terms and conditions in my receipt. I offered to forward my email that clearly stated that there was absolutely nothing listed that made reference to the $19.95 charge that I have been receiving.
I threatened to call the better business bureau and Bamm...she told me I would be seeing a refund for the full amount charged to my account in the next 3 to 5 business days.
I told her if it wasn't there in 5 days I would be calling the BBB and then calling her.
I also told her about the hundreds of others on the internet screaming about these charges.
And for the record. That tea is a royal scam... Like a stupid fool I fell for it and was going to cancel the tea and forgot all about it until the next box came and I had a huge charge on my account.
I hope I get my money back and I hope this information helps all of you.

- Bill replies to DebrahHi Debra,
I went to my Bank Card people at BofA and they contacted these people direct and I got to talk to someone named Chris, about these rip-off charges and was not nice either. He tried to tell me how it was part of a packet I signed up for and that it was all explained in their paperwork. I call him a thief and a liar and told him to cancel this NOW and that I better not see anymore charges on the account. But it was the bank that called them and helped me with this one....good luck,
bill - Suckered in Sacramento replies to ConnieThis happened to my fiance. Call the living lean customer hotline. 1-866-396-5711. They new who she was and cancelled. even got a cancellation code. Obviously, we'll have to wait to make sure the card isn't charged anymore, but it's a start. Also, you'll have to email to cancel the tea. And I talked to a rep. and they said, well, here's exactly what they said. I hope this helps people. If it does, give this post a thumbs up so others might be helped also. Thanks, Anthony
You are now chatting with 'Roger'
Roger: Welcome to Wu-Yi Source, I hope you have had a great day so far. I am happy to assist you with any questions you might have regarding the tea, which has helped countless people around the globe.
you: I wish I could say the same. I am being charge 19.95 a month by living lean and upon investigation see that there are hundreds of people that have had the same experience when buying this product from you. I am extremely pissed to say the least and I am not the only one. what are you going to do about this?
Roger: Living Lean is a motivational weight loss program and it is kind of like a subscription over the internet. Its like a motivational speaker which helps you to loose weight.
Roger: When you order our product, you'll automatically subscribe for the Living Lean subscription, but there is no need to worry. You can cancel your Living Lean subscription at anytime.
Roger: It is a mandatory,When you purchase the tea you have to purchase this along with tea.
you: So how do I cancel
Roger: If you have questions or concerns regarding your program with Living Lean you will need to contact their customer service at 1-866-396-5711, where you will be assisted by a Living Lean representative (they are available 9 AM to 9 PM MST on weekdays).
you: As much as I'd like to believe this is a live chat..... I seriously doubt it.
Roger: This is a live chat
Roger: And I am a real person my name is Roger Rodricks.
you: then would you kindly tell me where in the ordering process this "subscription" is printed? There are literally hundreds of people that I have come across that had no idea about this.
Roger: This is clearly mention in our website.
you: where?
you: I'm on it now
Roger: Just a moment please.
you: no problem
Roger: Living Lean is clearly mention in our purchase page.
Roger: At the last page of purchasing page
Roger: I hope I was of assistance, is there anything else I can help you with?
you: That's convenient. Here's a suggestion, PUT IT ON THE FRONT PAGE! If it took you that long to find it, what makes you think the average consumer is going to see it? But I'm sure that was the idea, right? Not good business, and I am currently warning others of this website and now make it my mission to make sure other people are sucked in to this. Is there a problem with putting this on the front page?
Roger: We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Roger: But, it is clearly mention in our purchasing page.
you: Yep, that's what I thought. Like I said, bad business. Not illegal...... Just not very ethical....... bad business...... And I am so not alone on this...... - deedee replies to Lorilori, i am wondering if you ever got your refunds...my brother was scammed by this company and i am trying to get this figured out. also, how do i get ahold of the company??thanks

GABRIEL - HugbeaI too was charged $19.95 on my credit card. I did not recognize the company name and did not recall any authorization. I called the 1-866-396-5711 number that was giving to me by my credit card company. I spoke to a man who identified himself as Jeric. When I told him there was an unauthorized charge of $19.95 on my credit card, he said do you remember buying the Wu-Yi Tea and explained to me the $19.95 was a monthly membership fee. He told me not to worry that there wouldn't be any further charges and gave me a cancellation number. I'm still out $19.95. This is definitely a scam.
- Lola| 1 replyI just called the 1-866-396-5711 number and spoke with Christine. I also ordered the Wu-Yi tea, I had a difficult time canceling that program. The Living Lean ,whatever that is, has been charging my account 19.95 for the past four months. I finally called the number today. Anyways Christine assured me that I would receive no further charges. Yes it's all a scam, and it's wrong, also my fault for using my debit card. Which is to say I've learned my lesson. I didn't even ask for a refund, why bother? I just hope that next month I don't see a charge for 19.95 on my debit card. One more thing, Miss Christine did try to sell me the program, but once I told her I was pregnant and didn't need to lose any weight right now, she would cancel. I will keep you posted, to see if my time and phone call actually worked this morning.

- Jose| 1 replyI have the same situation. I returned the product but they kept charging my credit card. The situation was resolved only after I involved the credit card institution (Bank of America). I got credited for the Living Lean charges (19.95 x 3)only after I requested the customer service rep from the credit card bank to have a three way conversation with the Living Lean Rep.
It is very unethical what they do. It is design to scam you. If you read the terms and conditions they express all the amounts in numbers with the exception of that $19.95 charge that is hidden in the words. I copied the text below. It's sad that they are allow to advertise on MSN, CNN etc. Do they know about this rip off?
"You will be billed the discounted price of only $29.95 at the end of your fourteen day trial period (this is a savings of twenty five percent off the retail price, and is only available for those who secure their trial today). You are still receiving this trial one hundred percent risk free because if, for ANY reason, you decide that Wu-Yi Diet Tea is not for you, simply call 866-449-5567 and return the remaining tea (all shipping fees non-refundable). --You also agree to the thirty day and bonus trial to LivingLean for nineteen dollars and ninety-five cents a month thereafter, should you choose not to cancel--. Any charge is made through the same account as you’re using today." - Shannon from NYWhen you order the tea you are automaticly enrolled into this living well whatever, so when you cancel the tea you also have to cancel this living well. I called the # they were very nice and refunded me for April and canceled my membership. 1-866-396-5711. Good Luck
- Christina S replies to LoriWow! I wish I read all of these e-mails prior to the trial period. I cancelled even before receiving the trial package. They still sent the package, but I refused the package when UPS showed up. Then, I saw a charge from living lean Las Vegas on my bank statement! I was so furious, I called my bank and reported them. They are currently conducting an investigation. I had to cancel the acct so they wouldn't be able to incur anymore charges to my acct. It is a shame that there are so many crooks in this world!
