I had ordered the Wu-Yi tea in February, and cancelled it before it even was shipped as I just decided against that.  Then all of a sudden I started to receive monthly charges for 19.95 on my credit card bill from Living Lean. I didn't even know what it was, so I got my credit card company to investigate them for fraud.  They told me it was related to some tea company.  The only thing I could think of was the Wu-Yi tea company so I called them today and they ended up giving me the number 1-866-396-5711.  I called that number and spoke to some fellow who told me that he could only refund me one month of the charges, and I said that wasn't good enough, and I was eventually transfered over to a supervisor named Andrew.  When I told him that I thought his company was a scam, he got very argumentative.  I told him EXACTLY WHY I thought it was a scam and demanded that all of the charges be refunded.  He claimed that he could only refund two months of charges, and then I mentioned to him that my credit card company is investigating his company for fradulent charges. Then he decided to refund me all of my money, which will apparently show up in 4-5 business days.  Then he told me to make sure to ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINT when ordering things online.

    Hi everyone,

It's Friday, 5-30-2008 and I made an order at http://www.wu-yisource.com/ around 12:00 PM EST. Immediately after that I felt uneasy (wish that kicked in BEFORE I submitted all of my Credit Card info) so I did some research and found this site. But first, before I did the research I immediately called Living Lean because I saw the little "trial" message after I ordered the tea, on a following page with my receipt for the tea. I was not interested in doing their stupid trial and was starting to feel very suspicious that they popped out of nowhere claiming they will charge me if I'm not happy with Living Lean. I didn't even f*cking ask for it nor did anyone ask me if I was interested, so I feel all of your pain. Anyway, I called 1-866-396-5711 (the number LIVING LEAN provided) and told them I wasn't interested in their trial whatsoever and that I want to cancel right now, even if I just ordered the tea... but again, I wanted the tea only! She tried to ask me "are you sure?" and I cut her off saying, "Oh no, I am absolutely certain I do not want anything to do with Living Lean." She sounded like I ruffled her feathers, using a tone you could tell was fake. I'm actually kind of scared she hated me so much that she might not have put the cancellation through at all. So I got a confirmation ID AND I asked her for her operator ID... she said I will be receiving no charges for Living Lean. I guess we'll see.

Anyway, after stumbling across this site, like I said before, I panicked and also tried calling Wu Yi Source at 1-866-449-5567. I think it's ridiculous how they have a number that only refers you back to an e-mail address. So I e-mailed teahelp@usa.com and told them to cancel my entire order. I want to know if anyone has had success with this, as I ordered my tea and cancelled within an hour... I should not even be charged with shipping!

    Thoughts?

Okay, so I was so paranoid I tried out the live chat thing, this is my conversation with them:

Chat InformationPlease wait for a site operator to respond.

Chat InformationYou are now chatting with 'Paul'

Paul: Welcome to Wu-Yi Source, I hope you have had a great day so far. I am happy to assist you with any questions you might have regarding the tea, which has helped countless people around the globe.

you: Hello, I just sent an e-mail to you guys to teahelp@usa.com to cancel the order I placed about two hours ago

Paul: Could you please provide me with your full name and email address, so that I can pull up your details?

    you: Candace ____, myemail@email

Paul: Thanks, you have to wait at least for a minute, so that I can locate your order.

    you: Okay, no problem.

Paul: I have cancelled your membership effective immediately. You will not be receiving any shipments from us, and your credit card has been removed from our auto ship system.

Paul: I have also refunded you the initial $4.95 shipping cost on your card. Refunds take five to ten business days to show up on your account, but I assure you it has been issued.

Paul: And, if you would like to cancel YOUR Living Lean subscription that was made by our bonus offer company Living Lean, you can contact them at 1-866-396-5711 (They are available 9 AM to 5 PM MST). Living Lean is a motivational coaching membership in which you had a 30 days free trial.

you: By the way, I also indicated that I received TWO order numbers, which is peculiar. I got a different order number from the confirmation e-mail than I did from the actual confirmation page on the website

you: I already did cancel with Living Lean

    Paul: Ok.

you: I cancelled with them before I cancelled with Wu-Yi

you: So can I confirm this with you?

    you: The Living Lean cancellation

Paul: For that you have to go with the Living Lean.

you: Okay, so basically they told me I was effectively cancelled, that means I will go with that for now. Please stop scamming people, have a great day.

Paul: Thank you very much for chatting with us today. We hope the rest of your day is an excellent one.

Paul: Please feel free to come back, for any further assistance. As our live chat assistance is available 24 X 7.

I just got off the phone with customer service. I ordered 2 boxes of VERY overpriced tea in December and have been charged $19.95 per month ever since. I JUST noticed this charge today and called to have it refunded. The customer service rep offered me one month refund and I refused, requesting the FULL AMOUNT of almost $100 (5 x $19.95) be refunded and he tossed me to a supervisor who offered me 3 months refund, then 4 and finally 5 months refund when I refused to accept anything less and threatened to turn them over to the better business bureau for fraudulent advertising practices. I received a "notice of refund" from Raven MediaTM and will keep watch until my money is returned.

If you are considering this product, don't bother. Shop your local health food store. This is a SCAM.

I received a call today from Living Lean, a company unknown to me, about a subscription for a diet coach and magazine I did not request.  Today I found out that after a trial, I did not request, I would be billed $19.95 monthly.

After less than 24-hours of placing an online order with Wu Yi Source, I have tried to cancel the order as I have discovered their business is a marketing hoax.  The Better Business Bureau office I contacted today informed me they have thousands of complaints about the business practices of this organization.

I also contacted the California Attorney General's office and obtained forms to register a formal complaint about how Wu Yi manipulates their customer credit card billings and add on billings for services/companies unknown to the card holder.  Wu Yi Source provided my unlisted and NO CALL registered phone number to Living Lean without my knowledge or permission.

I just noticed on my mastercard bill that there was a charge for $19.95 from an I/W Living Lean from Nevada with a phone number.  I never dealt with this company and never had any transactions with them.  A phone call was made and a lady answered.  She had the gall to ask me to mail her the bill from mastercard after giving me their company's tax number. At this point I was livid as it is becoming so clear that this is a huge scam.  I am going to all the places in the 'net and spread the word about this company.  I am calling my credit card provider, cancelling my card and getting a new one. Let's hope that someone do something about these rip off artists in Nevada.

I just did the same thing, on my debit card, as I don't use credit cards anymore either.  Same thing happened to me, but I stopped it at the first charge of Living Lean-$19.95.  Then while I searched for who this was, I stumbled on this site.  I have now cancelled it all.  Thank you for posting this message.  It helped me to stop this crap early.  OH, did you notice that you are supposed to send the remaining tea back...and you are charged a 15% restocking fee (like Best Buy does).
I'm still in the "60 day money back guarantee" timespan, so we'll see if that is true.

    An Update:

Wu-YiSource.com (formerly wulongsource.com, also operating websites at oprahsdietsecret.com, myeasyweightlosstea.com, wu-yitea.free-trialoffers.com, Living Lean and possibly others) is owned and operated by a man named Jesse Willms (he sometimes spells it Jesse Williams).

Mr. Willms' company states its headquartered and located in Las Vegas, Nevada, but to date, that cannot be confirmed. The company also has an office in Billings, Montana and Ontario, California which in actuality, are P.O. Boxes located in storefronts as drops for returned tea. To our knowledge, Mr. Willms lives in Canada.

Another Jesse Willms company, eDirectSoftware, has been sued by both Microsoft and Symantec for selling stolen and/or pirated software. He appeared in court along with other Willm family members in Alberta, Canada.

See http://www.billingsgazette.net/articles/2007/04/05 This story reports that eDirect and Willms unlawfully sold Microsoft software smuggled from Jordan and other companies. Willms settled out of court with Microsoft for an excess of $1 million dollars.

Willms company experienced a similar lawsuit with Symantec - http://www.cbc.ca/news/story/2007/05/16/tech-syman

Mr. Willms is known to operate a variety of websites or companies, many of which are now defunct. An online search will present:
"TV on your computer company," tvtopcdirect (defunct) (see reviews at http://satellitetvcommission.com/satellite-tv-on-p money from home on the internet" company called Profit Stream Pro (http://profitstreampro.com/). A search for "Jesse Willms" and "scam" reveals a host of issues --

    http://www.google.com/search?q=%22jesse+willms%22+

Contact your State Attorney General's office and file a complaint about the funds you have lost to Wu-Yi Source. Also contact the U. S. Department of Justice, Internet Commerce and consider the International Commerce Internet Fraud Unit.

They are raking in millions of dollars in the U.S., Canada, and U.K. The scary part is they have our bank and/or credit card numbers. I had to finally cancel my credit card to stop them from taking additional money from me.  Consider doing the same.

I too was just billed 19.95 and it took an act of GOD to get a supposed refund.  I spoke to a man named Jan who could have cared less and said I was basically locked into this bill.  Fortunately I havd read all of the google comments regarding this company ahead of my call and knew what to say to them.  He put me through th a Francis who was very nice, cancelled my account and refunded my money.  I am still going to contact Capital One and let them know that this company is a unethical and a scam.

DO NOT BUY FROM LIVING LEAN OF WU-YI TEA AS THEY ARE CONNECTED AND THEY RIP YOU OFF WITH UNAUTHORIZED CREDIT CARD CHARGES AND YOU PLAY HELL GETTING THE REFUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sat down to cancel my order for Wu-Yi Tea, talking to the rep Matthew I thought went well - Im only out 29.95! Then he gave me the phone # 1-866-396-5711 for Living Lean, since they are a seperate company. I just read all pages of this blog, I just found the charge of 19.95 for the Living Lean on my bank statement this month.  Its the first charge I've recieved from them, I should consider myself lucky compared to others. I called talking to Julius (who had an attidue)he told me to go to the website to cancel. I then told him, I couldn't find the website and Wu-Yi Tea gave me this number to cancel. I was insistant I was going to cancel as much as he wasn't going to cancel me.  He put me on hold, took my info and gave me a confirmation #. I guess Im going to have to wait, crossing my fingers until next months statement to see how things goes. I hope well. Good Luck to others.
