Hi, I got the same call this morning and asked my husband to call this number(He has a Mosaik card).  I called BMO general enquirie line to verify, eventhough they did not comfirm the above telephone number, but they said they (BMO Mosaik card) did contact us this morning.  So I guess this number is OK.

Got a call from this number aswell - Mosaik Mastercard security.
Seemed legitimate, as they had access to my transaction records including one that was recently declined.

Call was about suspected fraudulent activity on the card.

recorded message from mosaik mastercard security too.  we were having trouble with it yesterday.  checked account records online, and turns out there was indeed suspicious (unauthorized) use of our credit card so they automatically canceled it.
(i feel i need to put a disclaimer on this, though: there are ways to spoof caller ids (to make it look like any other number), so don't assume whoever is calling "from" this number is really legit.

I called the main BMO Mastercard number and asked if this was a legit call, and they said it was. I then called this number and they just wanted to check into a couple of transactions that I had made and check to make sure there wasn't any fraud (there wasn't). This is a legit number. Not a scam, although it certainly raised a red flag with me in the way that the automated message was left.

I also received a call from this number.  So I phoned BMO Mastercard's customer service number and they transferred me to security.  Security confirmed that there was a concern regarding a couple of my purchases.  So the phone call was legit. Apparently someone had called the bank regarding a card that I had closed which sent up red flags.  Hope this helps

i thought this number was scammers because of this site so didn't answer the calls. When i couldn;t log onto one of our BMO credit cards i called them and sure enough it was a security issue. Somehow, someone got the number from one of our credit cards and made some charges. If ever in doubt id it is indeed BMO just call the number on back of your credit card to get things figured out.

I too got this call today.  If it WAS legit, then i'm cancelling my mastercard - there's no way I want to be doing business with a company that calls me like this!

I'll be calling them this afternoon and cancelling my card either way

I got a call from them and then called them up after checking out this site. They informed me that someone had swiped the account number and was using it for online gambling. I have since had it cancelled and destroyed the card. The number is indeed legit.

I got a call, but no answer when I said hello.  When I phoned the number back, there was a request to enter my Mastercard Number.  Clearly  a scam

I got this call too. I called the number on the back of my card instead of the one they provided on the pre-recording and the customer care person I spoke with confirmed that mastercard did NOT call me.

They called me today to ask if i made several transactions yesterday.
I did not. My credit information was stolen I confirmed it with BMO.
It was a legit call. I'm glad they called to take care of this situation.
They are sending a replacement card out soon, as well as an affidavit.

    I received a call today from 866 418 8151.
The automated message indicated that a new card would be sent to me.

I called the customer service number on the back of my MC.

    I spoke with Customer Service.

The lady informed me law enforcement gave them a list of potentially compromised MC and my card was among the list.

When I attempted to probe further, the lady was very evasive and back peddled about what occured but that a new credit card would be sent to me.

I asked to speak with Security and they were just as evasive.

This is CLEARLY 100% a SCAM to get your CC and personal info by desguising themselves as BMO operatives, whoever is still thinks that this is legit, deserves to be a victim of ID theft and having his CC info compromised.

All of the posts here made claiming this to be legit were made by the scammers themselves or idiots who want others to be scammed because of how silly and naive they are and/or because they were scammed this way themselves!

Gord's above post is 100% nonsense.  I received the same call and instead of calling the number back, I called BMO's real toll-free number that Gord himself can find online or in the telephone book.  I did in fact have a fraudulent charge go through and it was actually BMO Bank Card Security.  Taking 5 min of your time will confirm it.
