I refused and asked if they could verify it from the phone number Mrs. King explained she could not do that and I needed to confirm my social security number I explained I work for the social security administration and the number is not to be used to identify someone she got upset at this and said she did not have time for this she had other accounts she could be working on then hung up my wife got the same message on her cell phone too though I explained this a scam and not to give any information.

- Pittsburgh Scam GurusDynamic Recovery Solutions...Not a complete total scam operation, but damn close. They seem to be a legit collections agency aka "debt solutions" agency, but they use rather shady tactics....They are what's known as "fishers". They obtain old consumer debt info -- Old credit line info, payday loan data, perhaps past credit card balances, etc -- & then they use this info to cold call, skip trace, & harass, hoping to get a "bite". Most legit collections agencies will contact you both by phone & by mail about a specific item from a specific creditor & will have all their ducks in a row: Dates, account numbers, original creditor name, all that sh*t. These guys called us at 8am this morning & hit us with a mish-mashed hodge-podge of info. They had my name & last 4 of SSN right, but the e-mail address, banking info, & address were totally wrong. They claim that I had a line of credit from Sept 23 2009 thru Feb 4 2010, but never paid it back...Never had a line of credit period. But again, these "fishers" are just hoping to get you on the hook by using your name & SSN as the bait, hoping you will bite without asking too many questions. They just want you to "resolve the matter", meaning pay them over the phone immediately, no questions asked. But, once you start challenging them, they will back down. If anyone lives in Greenville SC, pay them a visit: Dynamic Recovery Solutions, 135 Interstate Blvd. Suite #6, Greenville SC, in the Flagship Properties Office Park. Curious to know if they are actually there, as the rep I spoke with said they have "locations all over" but their "home office" is Greenville, but if you google them, you only get a hit on this address.

- FightBackNow replies to robMy wife just got a call (voice message) left on her cell phone this morning. Very pleasant professional sounding recording of a woman's voice stating the following:
"Hi, I am reaching out to you today form Dynamic Recovery Solutions, a deb collector. Please give me a call back when you receive this message. My number 866-606-9942. I would appreciate a call back today if possible. Again, our toll-free number is 866-606-9942. I appreciate your cooperation."
The recorded voice did not say anything else, did not identify the person they were calling by name, nor provide a name of an agent or other reference number for the call-back. Just the message quoted above, that's it.
I agree, this appears to be an obvious "fishing fraud" situation ... where the calling agency "Dynamic Recovery Solutions" somehow has obtained a list of cell numbers (likely from a hacked list, from Verizon, Apple, or another retail account). Fraudsters can purchase these lists online, and then make trolling calls looking for easy (gullible) victims who are intimidated by their call, since they appear to have some valid information about the person they are calling, such as their name, or whatever. Next, they will claim you can clear this up to protect your credit score by providing a credit card number (immediately) to clear up this bill which is likely less than $200. Since the original call is automated and requires a call back, they already have a narrowed down potential victim when you return the call, you have a high probability that you may be a gullible type, unknowingly returning the call thinking maybe the call is legit and that I actually owe a bill or something. Of course, it's a total scam, using the cover of a registered collection agency. Also, since they likely purchase these lists, the seller of the list can state that they have culled the list from folks that owe a debt, so the collection agency is attempting to legally shield themselves by using a second party list provider...claiming the list is legit.
It's terrible that these telephone scams are not shut-down immediately and instead persist for years. It appears that since they mix legit collections with there moonlighting (secondary income stream) use of questionable "lists" they can take legal cover that way. Otherwise, I cannot fathom why else they are still in business! - Linda BlinkenbergThey call, don't leave messages and call again.
- FranI just now received an automated call from these idiots. First off, if it's important, there will be a person and not an automated message. Second off, I owe no one anything, period. This is SPAM. this is the number I'm reporting: +1 (866) 606-9942
- Caller: Dynamic Recovery

- MCKFirst voicemail from this number. Phone call didn't come through, just the voicemail. Automated voice saying they were calling to collect a debt and needed me to call back at 1-866-606-9942. I shouldn't have anything with a debt collector, my student loans are in default because I'm in school and I pay my credit card every month. Didn't call back.
- JDCCalled my phone and left a message, checked my credit report and I do have something from them listed. Original creditor is BANKFIRST. Called them back, kept trying to explain that I have never had a credit line with BANKFIRST. He kept trying to tell me that because it was so long ago, I probably just didn't remember. Told him to send me the info in the mail, I wanted to know what address was used when this line of credit was opened. He tried verifying my mailing address, right street, wrong city. I'm not sure if my identity has been stolen or what. But I'm not paying this!!!!

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
