Stellar Recovery Inc. of Jacksonville Florida has repeatedly phoned looking for someone I have never met or have any knowledge of their location. When I spoke to the supervisor I was informed that they would remove my name from the call list. I am not impressed because I have heard the same statement when I moved to this house seven years ago. I wish they would hire someone with computer skills and locate this person. Any 5 grade student can locate anyone in this age of the internet.

Got a call from this "business".  I really hope they continue to call my new "no expressed consent ever given to any former creditor" cell phone with their robocaller.  My attorney was joyous with the news.  Why shouldn't he be?  We've already got a larger AR company in Federal Court for a $100,000 TCPA lawsuit, why not do another?

Just keep calling, Stellar and please keep spoofing your number. It'll make the filed complaint and accompanying documentation in formal Discovery look that much more damning. Oh, and please please send a Dunning letter soon, so that when the suite's filed, we can invoke "willingly and knowingly" without expressed consent and slam you with the treble fines.

The real scammer? The boiler room bum who can't extort enough money to support its drug habit and comes on 800 notes to spew. Like you for example.

Look up TCPA you can sue these people
for calling and leaving voice mails to a
cell phone using a predictive dialer without
your permission. The statute is USC 47
    227 I believe. Find a Consumer protection
Attorney and explain to him what's going
on! Do no delete any of the voice mails.
They could be worth $500.00 to $1500.00
per call. TCPA is Telephone Consumer Protection Act!

Hmmm...no this company is legit. It took them awhile to find me because I changed my name when I married and I have moved around alot since the bill was past due. I explained to the lady on the phone I needed to call comcast to confirm the $81.16 charges, she was super polite about it, and when I called back to pay them (as comcast said I did in face owe the money, they had passed it to Stellar and to please settle with them) the collector was very polite and accommodating. I even caught it before they reported it on my credit report. NOT a scam. Portfolio recover LLC, THAT is a scam :)

I don't appreciate being called and asked to give my personal information over the phone to them!! If you call and ask for Jane Smith and I tell you I am Jane Smith,  then why do I also need to give you my address and my social security number?!?! They just called me and I ask what the call is about,  yet I get "we can't tell you that information without you VERIFYING who you are!! You just called MY CELLPHONE, SO APPARENTLY YOU HAVE THE RIGHT PERSON..... ESPECIALLY WHEN I SAY I'M JANE SMITH!!!!

I wonder if this company has been taken to court on TCPA charges. They're blatantly violating the FDCPA by leaving messages for other people with whatever number they have with no regard to check if it's accurate. I was getting called for a woman named Geniveve, no clue who she is but I know she has unpaid bills. That kind of information is supposed to be protected but this company doesn't care.

It's alright though. I'lll see to it that their policies change and they start verifying the number and getting express written (yes written is needed now since october 2013 thanks to the FCC change) consent before they start autodialing people. If they want to skirt the rules and still use the Foti violating message of "If this is not xxx please hang up" (Foti ruled that this type of message is pretty damning to a collector in FDCPA violations). It'll change or enough people will sue them out of business.

I received a call this morning from someone who was not professional also. He said he was given my debt for Comcast in Fla. of 87.25.  I said I don't owe anything..that is my Fla address.  He said all they do is process the debt as collection from the company.  I hung up on him because he would not listen to me.
I called back this afternoon and talked to a lady. She told me what I owed and said the same as this morning's conversation.  I said I want to verify my American express number..she wanted me to read it to her. I said I'm not giving you my number, it's my account and you can give me my number.  She refused, got angry and I said you all are a rip off and a scam, I said I'm reporting you. She said go on the internet and type in what I just did.  SO..I got all of this.  Thank you for posting all of your complaints. Does anyone Know who these people are and have they been reported.  They wanted me to pay by check or visa to them.   LOL   I'm blonde but not a dumb one...

Comcast uses this company, although Comcast routinely asks its customers to return their equipment via UPS.  Then they routinely bill the customer for said equipment.  Comcast's provides the postage paid boxes and then claims that the customer did not return the equipment.  I have the tracking number and can prove that Comcast received the equipment and then a month later began billing for it only 1 time and then turned my so called delinquent account over to this collection agency.  It is a huge scam.  Anyone else interested in a class action law suit, please contact me at gillymom@gmail.com.com.

I recently obtained a phone from SafeLink about 2-3 months ago and this month started randomly getting phone calls from these people.  Considering I have never used the phone let alone given the number out their voicemails are getting annoying.  Can they legally do this?  I am either not the person they are trying to contact or somebody from the government or SafeLink gave them my information.  No name is mentioned just that they are Stellar calling to collect a debt.

Received multiple call a day from multiple numbers for "Stella Recovery" to collect a debt.  Finally called them back, they had my number under someone else's name.  Asked me if I knew this person, which I did not.  Hopefully they stop calling...

They may be legit, but there information is not accurate.
