Received a call today from this number, told it was from Capital One.  I was told that I needed to make an overdue payment.  I didn't think so, and told them I would check my on-line statement.  They persisted that I make the $150 late payment by phone, but I knew I had to check my statement online.  When I did, I found that I had a zero balance, as I had believed.  I believe this is a scam to get bank information, or other information for identity fraud.

It's Capitol One collections.  They put me on the collections list in error.  The calls began.  They call from 11 different numbers that I have logged.  Even though I have called and had them remove me from collections 3 times the calls continue!  I get from 1 to 5 calls a day every day.  They just won't quit.

I get 1 or 2 calls a day from this number. They will not leave a message and it is very annoying. Wish I could stop them.

This is Capital One, although it comes up on my phone as Toll Free.  Have no idea why I am called, and strongly resent it.  Have never done business with them, and for sure never would.

Received a call from this no. asking for my son who has never lived at this address or phone.  It seems it's Capitol One and he may owe them money - why are they calling me?  I also received a call from them at 8:00 am. on Sat. and Sun. - Caller ID stated it was Capitol One - I didn't answer.  I think when I receive another of these calls, and I'm sure there will be more, I'll have a loud whistle handy and let them have it!!  Pests come in all types and we need an exterminator for these annoying callers peddling suspecious financial products.

Good for you! They were so rude to laugh when you had told them your dad had passed away. If they did that to me, I would be so ticked.

Received a call this morning...actually it was my husband's cell phone. I answered it and when they asked for him I said he was not here, but asked who was calling and said I would take a message. They then asked for another number where they could reach him and once again I asked who was calling and they hung up on me.

This was a scam call and NOT Capital One.  I reported it to Capital One IMMEDIATELY.  They said I was over my balance...which I NEVER have been AND said I had missed my last two payments, which I NEVER have.  When I contacted Capital One, they asked me to give them the details of the call and the number and they sent the information to their fraud department.  BEWARE!!! and never give banking information over the phone!!
