- SandyGot a call from this number and the message left said that they were from Citi and that I was to call 866-609-8298 in regards to my account. I just called the number on the back of my Citi card and they said that everything looks fine. Not sure what it's going on.
- Caller: Citi
- Edward FedorThey call 4-8 times a day. Claiming to be calling about my citi card. I do not have a citi card.

- Mike replies to GregCpr thanks for the info.
- Sheldon replies to bert| 1 replyFrom my understanding about the DNC list is this,
Even if your number is on the DNC list, which mine is, companies with whom you do business with, including with in the past can still call you. It also doesn't prevent charities or any other type of organization from you calling you seeking donations. It also doesn't prevent political calls or survey calls from calling either. - James replies to SheldonAll calls can be stopped but it takes some effort. For those with whom you do business with use their "privacy statements" and "do not solicit" to stop calls. With mortgage companies, credit card companies that are using reminder calls as a form of harassment send a cease and desist to stop the calls. For charities, political, and survey calls find out what slimy telemarketer or fundraiser they are using and ask if they have a "internal do not call list." If that doesn't work when talking to the telemarketer contact their headquarters. You have rights to not receive unwanted calls but it takes effort to have them stopped.
- The Mike(877) 587-5727 called again no messages were left.
- SteveThey called me and asked me to call. I called the (CITI) number I had recorded in my phone. They had no knowledge of the call. I had CITI check into it and it turned out it is regarding my "Merchant Tires" account which is also held by CITI.
- Caller: CITI
- Jason replies to Michael| 2 repliesYou are correct...these are not scam calls. I missed my ExxonMobil payment this month, and they were simply calling me to remind me. I heeded the comments on this thread and assumed you all were right. I'm glad I decided to answer tonight, because it IS Citibank.
- Jason replies to RRB3Hey man, the same exact thing happened to me! I haven't answered for days because I assumed it was fraudulent, but I finally answered tonight and sure enough, it was a legit call from Citibank, reminding me to pay my damn ExxonMobil bill lol.
- Jason replies to ShillHammerNo, she's giving her honest experience, which is in fact similar to my own. Mine was an overdue ExxonMobil bill. There are indeed a ton of scam calls out there, but this isn't one of them, sorry.
- tim replies to WildspadeIts not a scam. It is Citibank trying to collect a debt or sell services. It IS, however, a robocall and can be harassing and/or annoying as hell.
- timThey have been calling me for weeks because I owe them money. I don't have any money and don't answer the calls.
- Caller: citibank
- Call type: Debt collector
- Scam busterThis number is a scam. They call on holidays Sunday's n when ever. Anyone saying they are not a scam is a scammer. Do not give them any info. Get real they call month after month. All hours of the day.
- Caller: Citi bank
- Call type: Debt collector
- Scam buster replies to Karen in FLThis is a scam. So that means you r a scammer. Busted ! It is not citi. They don't do business like that.
- Scam buster replies to Jason| 1 replyU R a scammer. Because this number is not even close 2 being legit. Anyone just use your head n call your own banking or credit card number. 877-587-5727 is a scam. 662-587-6763 is a scam, 859-309-5126 is a scam.
- Highly AnnoyedI used to get 2 or 3 calls a day from 859-309-5126. Only once or twice would they leave a voicemail - the voicemail was a pre-recorded female voice saying it's Citibank and "this is not a sales call". Finally once I answered, and a woman was on the other end saying she wants to discuss my husband's card for something I'd never even heard of before. First I asked her to stop calling my number and she kept telling me she can't. And then when I told her I had no idea what she was talking about, she hung up! If this were legit, why would they not call my husband's number instead, how is it she could not take my number off their call list, and why would she hang up when I said that (and also she didn't even specify anything about why she was calling about it). After that I blocked that number. Now I get calls instead from 877-587-5727, and so far once they left a voicemail - it was the exact same message as before, but in a male voice. Robo auto-dialers should be illegal.
- DanConstant calling, states it is from Citi Bank and is not a marketing sales call? we have no citi card. when answered I was "paused" and believe it went to an overseas or distant call center. I hung up. Still calling and ignored.
- Caller: Citi Bank
- Call type: Telemarketer
- John ZurnakThey stated that I owed 400$ and if I gave them a credit card number it would only cost 300$, or they would give me a summons and put me in jail. ha ha gotta be a SCAM
