It's Citibank. I was late on a payment this month.

To stop calling on cell download an app called"should I answer".best block app I found.

Don't dismiss this call, just investigate it. In my case, Citi held a legitimate account of a major office equipment merchant. I had made a payment using check by phone but a couple of the digits got reversed and the payment did not clear the bank. Citi was just trying to straighten it out or get another form of payment.

I answer the phone nad get an automated recording stating "we are sorry we could not speak to you personally- but please call 1-866-609-8298" to speak to one of our Representatives...bla bla bla..this is not a sales call"

Yeah....This just screams SCAM

They call me and said that they have a personal matter to talk about when i ask what was personal matter she said she could not tell until she got some information on me

So tired of these calls. They try to call 3-4x day claiming to be Citibank. Its a recording. They also call on weekends at 845am.  1245pm  345pm. Scammers!!! Idiots. I blocked them.

My Citi card is paid up each month, they called daily.  This is a recording that leaves a number for you to call.  When you call, they want your account number.  They will not answer any questions as to why they are calling you and tell you they need to access your account to find out why you are being called.  On your phone, name this number as "DNA-Citi Scam" and then go back in to the information for that number and select "Block this Caller".  Problem solved with this number.

Frequent calls from this number and leaves no message or answers.

Pretty sure I'd know if I had an account there.  They are calling a business phone.

I see this Number a lot on CID they can call and call and call all they want I never answer an unknown number

They claim to be Citi credit cards....

They claim to be offering funds to businesses.  I told them to stop calling me and because they have the name of the previous owner  who is deceased they won't stop calling until they speak with him.    I'm not sure how they're planning on doing that so I guess I'm stuck with their 10 calls a day.

Says that it's from Citibank, but it's a scam!!! I called Citibank, they don't have that #!! SCAM! Do NOT give them your information!!

receive calls from this number constantly   when you call back you get nothing

They call me constantly claiming they need to talkbto me about my Citi account.   I do no OT nor have I ever had a Citi account.   I've had the same phone number for over 10 years now so they can't be trying to call the previous owner.   I smell a scam.   I also notice when I don't pick up I get a call from "unknown" within minutes.   I think it's them trying again hoping I pick up because there's no number but I don't pick up unavailable or blocked numbers.

OBVIOUSLY scammers are not going to follower the do not call list. IT is like outlawing guns. Criminals who are willing to commit murder don't care about also getting a gun charge tacked on.
