Got a call from Jack Richards from 877-688-8288 x131 at my place of work.  He said it was a very important personal matter...  Did not call him back yet...  These jokers have been haranging me at work for about two years now (on and off).

I think I am going to call him back and HARASS him....
Better yet, does anyone know how I can report this guy or get these types of calls banned from happening (especially at my workplace)?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Beware!, they're running a new scam now, they will ask for you and explain that you "applied" for credit and that they want to make an offer.

    Totally aggravated
I also received a call on my cell phone (which I now know is illegal from another post on this site) from 815-758-1111 and spoke to someone named "Casey" at ext. 115 (she gave me the number of 877-688-8288).  The debt that they are trying to collect from me is from 1999, (when I was going through my divorce from  my ex-husband) and I don't even believe it exists, because my current husband and I cleaned up our credit totally in 2003 (including debts from our previous marriages), and if it was actually a collections account, it would have been on there and would have been paid at that time.  (Hell, we even paid off a $10,000 hospital bill in 2003, so there is no way we would have ignored a $200 debt!!!!)  This is a total scam and I am sending a certified cease and desist letter in the morning.

"Peed off" was right (see above).  There is absolutely no listing for Dekalb County Solutions with the Dekalb County Chamber of Commerce.  Sounds kinda fishy to me!!!!  This is scary, because with all the identity theft people are dealing with nowadays, these people have access to WAY too much information!!!!

Forgive the typo... that is FTC not FCC. The complaint is to the Federal Trade Commission. Also, a successful complaint, that is one which the FTC warns or otherwise sanction is also foundation for a civil suit - and the FTC will most likely reveal their true contact info and quite possible help to piece their corporate veil so that the owners personal assets can be attached.

Be sure to follow up on this like I will be doing. It's important to take a stand.

Asking me to pay a $10,981.05 from a Discover Card that the original amount was $2000. More than 10 years ago. After I discovered that it was scam I said I was not paying. The representative (Mike Ramirez) called my job stating he wanted to speak to Human Resources, refusing to say in regards to.  And then stating that it was now my employer problem, and that they needed to gat back to him ASAP. While speaking to my co-worker requesting the exectutive to call him back, he told the co-worker to give me a message, that he was now confirming my employment to make sure I pay the bill. He also stated that he was going to continue to call until he resolved the issue.

I got a call today from somebody named Casey saying she was looking for a Lori **** who was a neighbor of mine because she lived on the same street.  I asked how she got my number and she said she did a reverse look-up on whitepages.com.  I told her that I didn't know all my neighbors but one might be Lori.  She gave me the address and asked if it was close and I foolishly said it was next door.  She told me she used to have my neighbor's work number but "haven't been able to get through to her".  Then she asked me to please give a message to call back Casey at 1-877-688-8282, Ext. 115 because she is "always at work".  This sounded fishy to me and I called the number; it was answered as DCS.  I apologized for dialing the wrong number.  I am not giving this to my neighbor--how rude of them to bother me.  Can't something be done about these people???

They keep doing the same to me.  I have called several times and told them that no Ann at this number.  However, they continue to call.  If you call to remove your number you are treated rudely.  I was hung up on quite a few time after I called to speak to a supervisor.  I called them repeatedly like they had called me and demanded that my number be taken off the list and they called the police on me.  When the officer called me he told me if they call one more time to call the police department and make a complaint of harassing calls the police will put a trap on your phone and if they call again they will start a criminal investigation

I received a call from Casey 1-877-688-8288 ext  115.  Again very rude from a Sears account that was paid off through a debt consolidation loan in early 1990's.  SHe lied and said they had sent three letters to my home which I hadn't received even one of, I know this was paid off years ago.  This was extrmeley aggrivating as she was very argumentative.  How sick in this day and age when gas prices are though the roof!!!!! That people would pray on others.  I am sending a letter to the attorney generals office ASAP.  With stimulus packages coming out I am sure it is their plot to take from the unwitting.  Thank you for those of you that wrote before me and gave me piece of mind.

P.S.  I posted my complaints to the Attorney General, the FTC (don't put your social security number) and the local media so that others can be warned.  Take a minute to warn the media in your area so tha those that are not internet savy can be warned as well.  I know finding this site gave me a huge sigh of relief!!!!

Bob Brown called to try and collect a debt of close to $3000.00 he said after applying recently to a credit card he cross referenced data and realized I owed them money. If I paid by the end of the month then he was willing to settle for only $$700.00. He was very rude threatened me and told me when I refused him money what I was doing was illegal. I do not have this debt on my credit report.     I can tell he was trying to scare me into paying.  His extension was 105. The company only has a cheesy email address and a P.O. box.   DO NOT TRUST THEM  they probably scam lots of people out of money.

I received a call from DeKalb County Solutions about an old credit card debt I had from 2002 when I was in college which I had totally forgotten about. They offered me a generous settlement and I paid it, I think it basically comes down to moral responsibility. Some people pay all their bills some don't its a personal option that you choose at that point. If you owe a bill you should pay it at least thats the way I look at it thanks for everyone's time.

This is the second time this year that I have been forced to discuss this matter and this will be the last time.  Your agency calls my house requesting to speak with someone named Shannon Daniels. Now to set the record straight once and for all. Shannon Daniels does not reside at my address, nor have I ever met Shannon Daniels, nor Am I related to Shannon Daniels. If you need to contact Mrs. Daniels I strongly suggest that you call the correct phone number. Now as far as I am concerned that matter of Mrs. Daniels is forever closed. DO NOT CONTACT ME ANYMORE!!! No calls will be accepted and no calls will be returned. YOU ARE ENTIRELY ON YOUR OWN
Please remove my number from your database!!!

    Sincerely;

I recieved a call from the same Miles Young who threatened me with the same thing.  Glad I found this site... I actully just gave in and made a $50 payment but had my card cancelled today so they wont take more money. WHy I gave them money in the first place is beyond me.. My debt is no longer on my credit report but I didn't know how valid these threats were. while miles was yelling me I plain asked him "tell me what you are going to do to me if I don't pay" "are you going to put me in jail? are you going to sue me?" he said that is not up to him to decide. so I told him " well you have been working there long enough to know what happens right?" he didn't like that and said "you don't know how long I have worked here...." what an a hole. Why can he tell me what I NEED TO DO and not have a backup for the questions I ask?
