I just recieved a call from these people asking me to call them back. They told me the "need me to call them back," and "it is very important that we speak." I'm not calling them back.

Just got a similar message from MRC, from a charming and hateful chic named Stacy Woods. Any info or dirt on that person?! I'd love to share it with her next time she calls.

Recetly received a call from 303-680-4565, appeared as "Duckworth M" on my caller ID. Definetely fake, looks like somebudy was trying to pretend to be Marney Duckworth - miss Colorado 2006. Ha ha ha - very creative! The area code 303 does belong to Colorado, but the person on the phone was male and he said he works for MRC which is in IL. I asked for the number to call back and he gave me 877-254-2285 x106. He was trying to verify my home address and told me me my last four digits of my SSN. He said that he called a month ago, but it is not true -  I never received calls from him before. He was saying something about debts, but I do not have any. When I asked what MRC stands for he sais that this conversation is not going anywhere and hung up. Checked my credit report last night - all clean. Not sure what they want from me.

I got a letter from these people about a Citibank Universal account claiming i had been paying on the account and opened it when i was 17? WTH They say i was paying on the account and then I stopped. THey will not provide me with information on the account.  I called Citibank and they state I have never had account with them. This is not on my credit report, never has been and they are threatening to Garnish Me, I say go ahead but if you do, be prepared to pay out a hefty sum when you see that this account is not mine. THey won't give me the full social security number either.  WHo does this....I talked to a Lady named Tracy who claims to be an account mgr. I gave them my attny's number because I had filed for BKrptcy and it was not on my credit report. I told them call her, she will help you. I am tempted to call and see what they found out.

They claim my wife had an account with Providian some 15 years ago.
Debt is $4,984.00 (not)

Never had an account with them.

Anyway, he made the threats about reporting to our credit agency.
I asked for proof, he sent me a fax on his own stationary Mediation Recovery Center claiming the same nonsense.

I mailed a certified letter asking for verification of debt, if it has expired (it did) and so on and so forth... this WAS a debt from many years ago that had already been taken care of LEGALLY... I have not heard back from them. I also double checked my credit report and there was nothing on there... these guys are running a scam trying to collect on expired debts!!!

You are so right, this jerk is a low lift to lazy to get a real job!!!  I got call from them, at phone number 815-756-5638. they left no message. then few days later got notice from DCS??  in mail the I owed New port News $4,048.91, but DCS  would settle for $1,518.79. what a joke, i do not owe New port news a penny, Never have and never will. I even had to goggle the name to find out what kind of company I "was suppose to own this money too" ???  They have to be Freaken kidding if they think i am going to be scam by them.

The man Miles called me at my job for my husband, we have already verified that the account he is referencing was in our bankruptcy chapter 13 he got smart with me hung up on me one day and had the nerve to call my job again and started saying if you would pay ur bills i wouldn't be calling mind u I stated I was at work and could not give him a piece of me that he actually deserve. we owe no outstanding debts as we have been out of our bankruptcy for 6years and pay cash for what we want to buy now.  this is harrassment.  I am so angry now!!

We too are getting calls from these people, they have been told in the past to never call us again, yet they still call, not only that.... the debt they are trying to collect is over 12 yrs old and way past the statute, they do not read the mini Miranda, and they threaten legal action they never intend to follow through with, all in which is a violation of the FDCPA. the guy I talked to said that we made a payment in 2007, but when i asked for proof of that ( who's name was on the check? where the pmt came from? and how was the payment made? )  and he refused to answer because of privacy laws???? we have never made a payment on this outlawed debt. and if I'm the consumer the "privacy law" does not apply to me. these people are out of control and they need to be stopped, they pulled my husband credit report and he was reading recent inquires and transactions to me which made me angry. how can they get away with this? I dialed this number by accident!!  When i asked what company it was- some guy gave me 4 initials. I told him i think i have the wrong number- he said He didnt believe me, and that this was a private government number and told me he believed someone called me from this number and that people dont make mistakes like that. He told me i was lying,. what an ASS!!! So i looked up the number and saw all of these complaints!

I have received a call from this phone number saying I owe Bank of America money, when I have never ever had an account with them.
The first caller would not give me information, and I would not give him the funds to clear this "debt" he then proceeded to say he was going to call my supervisor, I asked who it was and he kept saying he was going to call. He hung up on me, his name is Ben.
I proceeded to call  back and spoke to a "supervisor" and he said the same thing with the Bank of America account. I told him I once again never had an account, and he says "sure you didn't, it's your name and social" I then asked where it was open and again he would not give me this information. He said he deals with people like me everyday. Again he got angry with me and asked if I still worked with an employer.  Again he hung up.
I called 3 times and the 3rd time he asked me to stop calling him, when all I am wanting is information that this is actually an account that truly belongs to me. It's fine for them to call and harass us, but we are not allowed to call them and try to answers?

I am a District Trainer for a Corportation and they just called one of my locations and gave them my full SS# and Maiden name with a message for me to cal them!!!  This has got to be illigal!!  Any advice on what I can do??

WOW!! this Company is a something else reading all of these posts. But mine seems to be just a bit different,guess they needed a new name. I woke up to a missed call from 815-758-8213. I had to play the VM like 10 times as the guy was eating at the same time! WTH??...
Anyways His name seems to be a D.Krause?? and he works with Cal County Solutions (thats the new thing) yet all the previous posts were towards a Dekalb County Solutions?? intrestng..i guess they figured they needed to switch it up.
but I have not called back nor will I...I do not owe anyone ...if I dont have cash ..I dont buy ...its real simple.
I had cross referenced the 815 number and didnt get to many posts on it but as soon as I put the 877 return number in, it opened the flood gates so to speak...So we will see if he/they call back because they won`t be hearing from me

I just got off the phone with people that are total idiots to no extent. Threats disrespecting my mother and the President. Yelling telling me that I was gonna go to court and that they were gonna press charges to the fullest extent of the law. Now it's contacting the Better Business Bureau and my State General! They send letters when you call them they act ignorant on the phone. They make me laugh now that I found this site right here,,,

I have emailed the BBB and The State Attorneys office regarding this Piece of Work company.  I have zero debt and they have called and harrassed in the last week about 8 times to my cell and now they have even called my job.  This has to be illegal and I honestly fed up with the whole situation I refuse to answer there calls and find it abusive to do this to people most of all talking about a supposed debt that is over 15 years old.  I am taking action enough is enough

I received a phone call from (815) 756-5696 - DCS telling me that I owe them a debt of roughly $200-$300. I of course was immediately skeptical as I have never even heard of these people. The guy that I was talking to started to get irritated because I was asking alot of questions. When I asked how he got my personal information he said his company had purchased it from the company that I financed my car with. So I hung up with him and call them straight away.

When I told them what had happened they forwarded my call to the legal department where I quickly apologized to for the inconvenience and told that they did not now nor ever sell any customer's personal information. I of course already knew this as I have a copy of their privacy policy, I just wanted to confirm.

Before all this I had no idea what the name of the debt collection company was. I decided to call them back and get whatever information I could. When I did I was immediately transferred to the same guy I had spoken to before. When I asked what the name of his company was he did little more than mumble it, so I asked him to repeat it. He then yelled it at me. DEKALB COUNTY SOLUTIONS! I told him there was no need for acting like a jerk. Before I could ask what his name was he had hung up on me. I of course called back and was then again transferred directly to the same guy. He asked me what the heck it is that I want if I'm not going to pay my debt back. I said all I wanted was his name again he yelled it at me, CHRIS REYNOLDS! I asked what his supervisors name was, but he hung up.

I am not stupid I can't help that they bought an old debt, but because my debt did not originate with them, then I do not now nor ever will I owe them anything.
