Received a call didn't answer and no voice mail. Definitely telemarketing or scam.

Pretended to be RBC

Got a call from this number about an hour ago,  but no one responded when I answered.   If someone doesn't respond to me right away, I hang up as it's probably a Telemarketer or a Scam.

Got the call many times lately & again today at 7pm. I never answer phones that I don't even know the area code. I'll check online for info about a certain calls first because I know I can always call them back if I wanted to. This one could be a scam.

It is actually RBC Royal Bank. I did not answer the call, but I did call them right away.

I've received about 4 phone calls from this number. They never leave a message but have been calling me for the past 10 days or so. I never reach my phone in time to pick up. If it is RBC it is highly annoying. When I tried to call the number back it wouldn't connect.

RBC showed up on Display.  Identified himself as being financial advisor of RBC

it's not RBC. I've called them and they don't make calls like this. It's really aggravating when you answer the phone and no one speaks. This same number has called asking for my son, but he's been out of the province working, so maybe they don't want to talk to me...
Either way, they're creeps, and they're not who they say they are!

this number was on my call display, I did not pick up last night BUT they did not hang up therefore my phone is registering IN USE all the time…
would like to know who this is….definitely not RBC…they would not tie up their lines like this

This number called me I told her I would go to the bank and sort it, she was good she said if I felt safer by doing it that is fine, So off I go to the Bank with the number and they said it is a scam and reported the number for me, I also went to the Police and showed them the number and said it says RBC on my phone and they are asking me about my bank details the Police said they can not do any thing about it, any one can call any one and pretend to be some one else, it is what they do after that they can jump in?...I find this strange some poor soul is going to be coned by these idiots.

I just got this call today, too. Guy said he was my financial advisor at RBC and was calling to discuss my bank account. I do have some products with them but not a bank account. Said I've never received a call like this before & I don't have a financial advisor. He kept pushing & I just told him to [***] off. Then, I called RBC & reported the incident & the phone # to them. Also, checked my products to ensure nothing has occurred over the course of the last month & all is clear.
So, if you get a call from this scam call RBC & report it.

RBC advice centre is how they answer the phone. Asked about the purpose of their call. They wouldn't tell me anything until I gave them my account information. When I refused and asked to speak to a member of management they got defensive. I asked them to look me up by phone number. They said they couldn't do that. My response was that "you obviuosly can because you are calling me. " I said that " you should be able to look me up and validate who I am by requesting my secret answers and by my validating personal information you have on file " they said that we don't have that information. I said " Then obviously you are not RBC so if you call again I will contact the police... And if you do happen to be representing RBC... If you waste my #*%#ing time again I will pull every account and and investment"

I received three calls this week. It's annoying. I have accounts on three banks, but this is only the bank that keeps calling customers. RBS is gaining profits, but losing trust from customers. I'm going to pool out of RBC.

Have had this number showup everyday around the same time each afternoon (around noon).  Based on what I've read Im tempted to answer and quiz them with what kind of knowledge they pretend to know as I dont have an account with RBC. If it was that important one would think to leave a message...and Im not sure why it's showing up as from the United States on my phone.

mine also comes up united states on display. i spoke to them, told them I won't discuss any banking on the phone, they continued to pressure me to come in for an appt. I asked them to take me off the list. they called again, asking for husband, told them wrong number, this is my cell phone. they are still calling. I don't know what they are thinking, in this day and age who does banking on an INCOMING call from a total stranger and unknown number.

Got a call from this number numerous times but never answer. It says it is from RBC and although I do have an account with them I figured if it was important than they can leave me a message or send me a letter. Glad I looked it up first because it seems this is a scam. RBC's website even says that they will never ask for your account information. If they do, it isn't RBC.

This number  1-877-769-2547 continues to call me, it shows RBC on the call display, I never answer and they never leave a voicemail message.  Very suspicous.

Someone called me 3x today from this number. No one is on the other end when I picked up. I would say this is a scam.

Just got a call few minutes ago. No going to pick up any 8** number as usual.

This number is Royal bank... Its legit..
